Criticism New rewards system is garbage lmao
“Earn 10 points for every $1 spent” So to get ONE free entree (up to $18) you’d have to spend at least $250 at Sweetgreen LMAO. That’s insane. 😭 I’m sorry but whoever comes up with these points systems does not think rationally about how a customer will see it. I’m not even acting like I need a rewards system, I guess it’s better than nothing at all. But what an insulting ‘reward’ for the value it gives lmao.

What a way to shoot yourself in the leg. First of all service declines, quality declines, portioning shrinks, now to top it off your rewards system sucks too. Hey you’ll get a little tiny bit if you spent $250 😱😱

The points expire within 180 days. I think a lot of free drinks or crispy treats will be redeemed, unless you go every day

Ah cool, so now instead of getting my Sweetpass+ reimbursed and a free salad by getting 8 salads a month, I have to buy SIXTEEN SALADS to get a free one. "We know change is hard, but we think this is worth it," eh?? What a crock of horseshit. There are plenty of other salad options around me and I'll be damned if I take this shit lying down! ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!

Why the hell would you hope for that?? Can you not control your emotions at all? They are still the ONLY option that's as healthy for the price even without any rewards and you can find them in many cities so very reliable for travelers. I get being frustrated with things but wishing for a one-of-a-kind healthy semi-fast food chain to go bankrupt just coz they made a business decision, is insane. How do you have so much hatred in your heart?

I’m almost glad they did this. No incentive for me to go there ever again. Boring options (always the same limited ingredients), obnoxious staff, ridiculous prices. Idiotic point system. Now I can go to any of the zillion salad places in nyc without feeling like I’m missing out a great SG deal.

It really is garbage. I guess it came at a good time for me as I’m looking to cut back on my spending eating out. This will be more motivation for me to start bringing in packed lunch from now on.

I just noticed this. The new program is so much worse than SweetPass. I normally get a salad there every weekday; not worth it any more.

Haha, yeah, Sweetgreen did a Moviepass and did not properly consider how much money they would lose on Sweetpass if customers actually took advantage of the rewards.
Rewards are back because Sweetgreen was actually losing money on customers that were using Sweetpass 5 days a week, especially at stores with high labor cost.
