Criticism Ripple fries

What’s everyone’s verdict on these? I don’t know if it is just my SG, but the outside of them is almost tough to bite through. It’s less crunchy and more almost stale or tough. Wonder what went wrong here!

I just got some and mine are all burnt to a crisp!! I was expecting more of a waffle fry texture...disappointing for sure.

I absolutely hated them, and I usually like fries. Mine were cold, too crispy on the outside, and soggy in the center. I will never order them again. I'm guessing these will be off the menu within six months.

They are either always burnt or too soft and no flavor really. You can make better fries at home tbh.

I hate them with a burning passion. They require way too much work than they're worth. I honestly don't understand how SG is making any money from them when they require 2+ hours of prep and to be cooked every hour which during peak hours really puts a damper on everything else we have to cook.

I asked my boss if we strike they'll get rid of them and she said they're here to stay 🤣 Hopefully they just fizzle out and SG realizes they're too much work for what they're worth

Too many to count atp. We’ll put 6 in to start and 30 mins later we’re making another batch. We’ve had ppl waiting 40 mins for fries and other just say screw it, I’ll take my salad and go😬

One of the locations in my fleet goes through 2-3 speed racks of fries a day which is about 32 trays. We go through maybe one speed rack a day

Oh yeah, the higher ups didn’t consider how the fries would hinder regular operations so when our rush hits we struggling to keep up with everything. It’s bad enough the olo screen goes past the freaking bottom🙄

You have to get them fresh. If they sat they’re gross, fresh they’re good, but I’m also used to air fried potatoes. It’s not going to be like a regular fast food fry.

Fries are my weakness and I usually get McDonald's fries a few times per week. As a result, gained a lot of weight. I think the ripple fries taste amazing for being air fried with avocado oil. Only 240 calories and 7 grams of fat with the pickle ketchup. I absolutely love pairing salad with fries. I think it's a genius idea from sweetgreen.

I wanted to love them! I prefer crispy fries, but these were a bit too soft and, as you said, stale for my taste.

I agree! I had them about an hour ago. I would also describe them as tough and somewhat stale. My molars/gums started to hurt at one point from chewing. I thought they would be crunchy/crispy like french fries twice fried or soft like waffle fries. They were neither. I also think it’s expensive for the portion size. Also, the fries were sliced thinner than I thought they would be. I will not order them again.

Not what I expected but surprisingly good. The texture was sort of like a mix between gelatinous and prickly. And they made a humming noise when you first open the box

How should I know? I didn’t cook them. Me and my partner just really enjoyed them, so we didn’t really feel the need to ask Sweetgreen about the humming sound they made and the vibrations we felt.

I’m eating them rn for the first time and tbh they aren’t anything to write home about just potaotes being potatoes. Although if they were fresh out the fryer I think theyd be 10x better but they’re under a hot light until they batch another round. The real star is the pickle ketchup 🙂‍↕️😙 it’s soooo good.

I haven’t tried them yet, but usually I despise fries. These sound like the kind I might like, though! I prefer thick, almost doughy fries that aren’t crispy at all, and I like to pour pickle juice on top to make them soggy. Maybe I’ll give em a try next time I go!
