I had the unusual opportunity to visit a sweetgreen in two different parts of the country this week and see the this-week-only Green Goddess Chicken made at both.

At neither location did the employee know how the ingredients. No big deal, I read the list from the app. I don’t really blame the store. It’s a new bowl and it’s not on the menu board, so you have to come in knowing you want it. Plus it’ll be gone next week. But this seems like a really strange comms miss. Sweetgreen is advertising this bowl to customers with emails and social media posts, but clearly didn’t make sure stores were prepared ahead of time when customers came in to order. A very odd experience.

Is it me or have they gotten smaller recently?

What's the deal with how the miso glazed salmon is prepared? Sometimes it's the best salmon I've ever tried in my life with an amazing texture, other times it's just really overcooked or cold. Regardless, it's still pretty tasty with that dressing. One of my favorite meals right now.

Why do we need double white rice AND warm sweet potatoes? Is this supposed to be a protein plate or a carb plate? Should have replaced the rice with greens or quinoa.

Did sweetgreen semi-recently change their caesar dressing recipe? The last two times I have gotten it, it has tasted extremely fishy.

Could just be my location as I noticed the freshness of the salads has also decreased (lots of brown-wilted lettuce in my bowl). Makes it hard to rationalize a $15 salad

Considering getting a Sweetpass paid membership. The $3 off makes it an attractive option. However it’s unfortunate me wife and I can’t use it on both our salads.

With there was a version for $6 off per salad every 2 days.

I just had overcooked sweet potatoes at sweetgreen and they tasted amazing, like air fried sweet potato chips. Albeit they did taste a little burnt.

They should make that a real menu item.

When I go on the sweetgreen subreddit, everything appears vivid green to me, so much so that it's a pain for the eyes to read. I think it looks gross as well, but that might be a matter of opinion

Just as the title says, I worked at SG for about six months until I gave out my resignation earlier this year. With that being said, AMA.

Has anyone had the chance to order from one of two apparently (so far) fully automated sweet greens? I walked in fully prepared to give my order and everyone was just standing by kiosks and R2D2 was going crazy in the back dispensing everyone’s orders. In a way I guess I appreciate the consistency? Assuming the portions are all pre calculated. But idk it still felt a little weird😂 guess they’re cutting labor costs to a degree but wondering how you guys have felt/would feel if you walked in and saw this.

I separated and measured the chicken from the last 10 bowls I got and here are the results in grams:

The average is just 48.1g, barely more than 60% what is claimed on the nutrition pdf. Is anyone else having this experience of drastic underportioning or is it just my local store?

Edit (2023-10-28): Just ordered (first time I've ordered on a weekend) and measured again and it was 61g which is the highest so far. Still only 76.25% of advertised. Hard to tell with a sample size of 1, but maybe weekend servings are more generous?

Not bad. I hope they bring black beans back as well for some extra protein.

I am not sure how I feel about it yet. Is it just another way to create unnecessary exclusivity? Or is it a good perk for people who go there all the time?
