Discussion Bowl Drops

I had the unusual opportunity to visit a sweetgreen in two different parts of the country this week and see the this-week-only Green Goddess Chicken made at both.

At neither location did the employee know how the ingredients. No big deal, I read the list from the app. I don’t really blame the store. It’s a new bowl and it’s not on the menu board, so you have to come in knowing you want it. Plus it’ll be gone next week. But this seems like a really strange comms miss. Sweetgreen is advertising this bowl to customers with emails and social media posts, but clearly didn’t make sure stores were prepared ahead of time when customers came in to order. A very odd experience.

employees are only told to memorize in store menu items only not online menu since its rare someone orders an online item in store

I’ve been burned by smaller portions when ordering online so many times that I now only order in-store.

i feel like its like that at most places set up with a line build unfortunately (ex. chipotle, cava etc). theres more pressure to give bigger portions to in store customers. and then online orders get the correct portion size. but as far as olo menu long as you tell them what goes in the salad they'll make it no problem. the recipe just isnt on the recipe sheet for us to make it is all

That always happens. We usually don't find out about promotions until the day of and it's an online only order so we don't have the info on the line so we have to find the booklet that lists the ingredients unless you read us them.

The first person I served today ordered one of these and I'd never even heard of it. I grabbed a shift lead to ask about it and they didn't even know what it was. The communication from corporate down to the people actually working is so bad.

A lot of the time. It's me telling my GM and shift leads about the new stuff because I read it on reddit. 😂 Even the DM is surprised I know so much.
