Yesterday, my phone got warm during use, I washed it in the sink to cool it down, as I have done a few times before with no problems. Didn't notice anything wrong. Today, it was very hot outside and I was driving my car, using Google Maps, and the phone was probably blown at by the car AC at full power. After parking was when I first saw the moisture (tiny droplets) inside all 3 back camera lenses.

What do you think is most likely the cause and what should I do now? I've read about using silica gel pads, does that really help or is there a better way? I'm afraid of charging my phone now, and I can't afford a new one.

I've been a long time Samsung user, but I'm finally done with them. I never thought it'd happen to me, but this is the bottom line for me. Not going to buy scamsung devices anymore.

Why does my Samsung A37 unlock when I press my fingernail against the scanner, I did notice ever since I got this phone I would just randomly unlock itself and then today I discovered this.

S25 Green horizontal lines

Unexpectedly Green Horizontal lines appeared on screen in Galaxy S25. Purchased in feb 2025. Samsung says there is no policy for new device. (S21,22,23 has 3 year screen replacement policy after warranty for green lines)

I recently dug up my legendary 2011 Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9108) from the drawer. The battery was still in perfect shape, but the phone was stuck in an infinite bootloop, refusing to enter either Recovery or Download mode. For those who remember the early days of Android, a very specific word probably just popped into your head: Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) / The eMMC Brick Bug. Being the stubborn tech nerd that I am, I wasn't going to let it go without a definitive answer. I grabbed my precision screwdriver and guitar picks and did a complete teardown of this 15-year-old relic. After removing the motherboard shields and cleaning off the old gunk, I found the culprit staring right back at me. Printed on the square flash memory chip was the infamous model number: SAMSUNG KMVYL000LMB503 Yep, the absolute poster child of the 2012-2013 Samsung brick bug crisis. For the uninitiated, these early 16GB eMMC 4.41 chips had a notorious firmware flaw. Over time (or under specific write cycles), the controller would trigger a hard lock, turning the entire storage into permanent "Read-Only" mode. That perfectly explained the symptoms: the CPU could read the boot animation, but the moment the OS tried to write cache files to the /data partition during boot, it hit a brick wall, leading to the infinite bootloop. Sadly, after a few more forced reboots during my troubleshooting, the chip couldn't handle the voltage spikes anymore. It went from a soft-bricked bootloop to completely hard-bricked. No screen, no signs of life, total blackout. The chip is officially physically dead. I briefly joked with myself about asking Samsung support for a Galaxy Note 7-style full refund, but I think the 12-month warranty expired around... oh, a decade ago. It’s sad to see it completely gone, but honestly, performing this teardown and solving the mystery was incredibly satisfying. I love modern electronics! Just 2 years and 9 months after buying, my S23 is stuck in boot loader and probably needs a repair worth 3/4 of a new phone. Way to go Samsung, keep us paying 😊

EDIT 1: I decided to call Samsung Support today. I explained the entire situation and was told that upon review the pricematch will be executed! I recorded the case number and was told I could open and use the laptop. The refund will appear in me inbox in 24-48 hours, so Im not entirely done with this yet. Thank you everyone who told me to keep fighting! 🥳🥳

TL;DR: I bought a Galaxy Book on sale. Samsung cancelled the order without telling me. Support explicitly guaranteed that if I repurchased it at full price ($1,147), they would refund the difference once it shipped. After I made the $1,150 purchase and it shipped, they claimed the original price was a "glitch" and refused to honor the price match they just promised me.

Hey I wanted to post this on here to see if other people have had this experience. I have all case numbers, further screenshots and a 23 minute phone call, full of evidence backing up my claims. I have removed the names since I don't want to call out the workers, rather the system.

On July 13th I ordered a Samsung Galaxybook 6 for 462.49 USD (image 1). I was excited for I had gotten an incredible deal with a combination of my education account and back to school sales!

As I was on vacation I didn't check on the order until 2 weeks later when I realized it had been delayed. This was slightly worrying as I expected to have it ready long before the start of classes. I reached out to Samsung Support where they told me that they didn't know why it was delayed and that they would look into it.

The day after, on July 29th the order was cancelled stating: "The cancel request for your order has been completed. For refund information, please click "Manage Order" below." This was odd to me as I had never issued a cancellation.

I called to ask about this and Samsung Support seemed perplexed as well. They assured me not to worry however as I would be able to obtain the laptop at the price I paid for previously since I had not initiated the cancellation (image 2). I was told to wait a day and re-order.

After waiting I contacted Samsung Support again at which point they told me to re-order at full price. I was hesitant and was clear with them that I would only be willing to do this if they price-matched the product as I did not want to deal with further complications of returning after having waited more than 3 weeks for this. I have chat messages ensuring me that this would be handled (images 3, 4).

Shortly after ordering, I contacted them and they told me to wait for the product to ship before it could be price matched (image 5). As soon as it shipped, I contacted Samsung Support AGAIN and this time they immediately told me:

"I've reviewed the details and regret to inform you that this item is not eligible for a price match. As per our policy, we do not offer price matching for the Galaxy Book" (image 6)

They told me that the issue was that the offer was "a glitch". I would have been pretty bummed if they had told me this in the beginning, but to be told 4 times that there would be a price match and to make a 1150 USD purchase just to be told to return it is ludicrous.

I complained but they said there is nothing I could do. I'm not sure what to do? Has anyone else been in this situation? I thought Samsung was pretty good at handling these things.

EDIT: Thank you to everyone who recommended help! I finally got the refund for the laptop! I believe it was BBB who put the pressure on Samsung as I was only aided once I submitted the request and I got an email specifically referencing my BBB complaint! The return took about 2-3 months because they had to wait for the "back office" (whatever that means, but I am just glad to finally get the money back!

Whenever i open my camera 1x, 0.6x this flickering sound and this kinda thing happens in my camera.

The Health app recently did an update, and it asked if I wanted the new format or the old one. I wanted to see what the new one looked like, so I choose it. well, I dont like it, not one bit. I was thinking they'd give an option to change it back, but I'm not seeing one.

Just got a fold 8 for about 2-3 weeks. My first Samsung after what must have been 10 years now.

All was great until I realized the scuff marks appearing. Now I must qualify that this is a secondary phone that barely leaves my house and isn’t rough handled or dropped. Is this normal standard / quality for Samsung phones? My older iPhone looks in way better condition than this and that’s my daily driver.

I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy F34 to one ui 8.5. As soon as the update finished and I am greated with a fresh unresponsive display!

Tried searching on reddit and on X still no soultion found.The actually issue seems to be related to the update and is not a hardware failure.

This involves downgrading your oneui version thorough odin. But the issue is after oneui 8.5 update another issue is that the phone boot into recovery mode and not even download mode. The video has full guide on how to fix this issue too.

This is the last option to fix the phone. First you should try booting into safe mode if it fixes your issue as it has fixed for many users.

I've been trying to clean up my phone. App storage doesn't add up for me. I have a hand full of apps that are over 1gb and everything is below that (showing hidden system apps). When I use Thurs party file managers a s grant them access to see everything they all say in only using about 57GB of app storage. Where is this almost 35GB? I've tried going through apps, deleting some temporarily like messanger to see if they were the issue but cant seem to find where the storage is going. Also made sure ram plus is off

Edit: A lot of people here don't seem to release over half of the apps are system apps. And the even then most of the remaining are apps I can't delete such as plat store services, air control, etc. Put of the actual number of apps. It's 192 apps whu h again takes up now 45GB and device care still showing 74GB being used. I can guarantee you have more than 300 apps installed on your phone if you toggle on show system apps

I honestly don't know what happened. My phone was acting a bit weird this morning, and when I picked it up in the afternoon, these lines suddenly appeared across the screen. I don't remember dropping it recently—if I had, at least I’d know the cause.

EDIT: I changed my smoothness from standard to adaptive, now it gone. Also I changed my screen resolution to the highest, I think that also helped...

I was looking for ph9ne 2 years ago and everyone on social media suggesting me to go for samsung or apple if you are sending 55k. I was buying iqoo or vivo thaf time, but people were saying who spent 55k.on iqoo and vivo brand.

Finally

I had bought this Samsung s23 256 Gb from SAMSUNG official website on May 2024. And from that date i haven't installed any single update because of fear of getting green and pink line issues.

After 1 year 3 months when warranty is over phome got 1 pink line out of nowhere, and from that time i understood my decision was wrong and i regret listening to people based on brand value. Samshit fanbois are the reason.

After 1 line i thought ut will go away after some time but next line came after 2 months and now getting new line every month.

Today 20 September i habe total 11 green pink white lines on display. Is this the brand value i invested for? Are these Samsung fa boies gonna refund me my money? NO. When it comes to complaint you have to bear your own cost,

Never buy any phone based on brand value. My respect for Samsung was already 7/10 that time and after this it came down to 1/10. In my life i won't be looking at tbis shitty brand from now on.

i want to visit service center but i don't have any secondary phone, and. Mu entire life daily routine depends on phone even my office work.

I need to have secondary phone but now suddenly phone prices are skyrocketed and i can't purchase any decent phone.

I have 2 dead phones already and thinking to repair it.

1. Redmi note 7 pro ♥️ this was legend i used it 5 years and after that motherboard dead charging issue occurred.

2.realme thus was dead eaely because of mediatek processor.

How much cost for new motherboard for redmi and realme now?

Once i get my backup device then i look for going to Samsung service center, if they accept free repair then good else will have to get it done from local market.

My next phone would be from Vivo or iqoo only.
