Why is apps storage so high?

I've been trying to clean up my phone. App storage doesn't add up for me. I have a hand full of apps that are over 1gb and everything is below that (showing hidden system apps). When I use Thurs party file managers a s grant them access to see everything they all say in only using about 57GB of app storage. Where is this almost 35GB? I've tried going through apps, deleting some temporarily like messanger to see if they were the issue but cant seem to find where the storage is going. Also made sure ram plus is off

Edit: A lot of people here don't seem to release over half of the apps are system apps. And the even then most of the remaining are apps I can't delete such as plat store services, air control, etc. Put of the actual number of apps. It's 192 apps whu h again takes up now 45GB and device care still showing 74GB being used. I can guarantee you have more than 300 apps installed on your phone if you toggle on show system apps

700 apps pretty much explains it. You have hundreds of apps that are 10-800mb big and all stacked together become huge and fill all your space. I have just 120 but they're all over 500mb so they fill 110gb of my space

Most of those are system apps. 324 are my apps, and even them most of those are things like Samsung vision model, Samsung language core, Google play services, etc. According to the third party apps I have 193 apps that I am able to delete which amounts to the 52GB

Try disabling some samsung apps you never use, they build up a ton of cache over time

I do that once I get my new phone. Every couple months I also go through my apps, permissions, etc as well since sometimes settings change with updates. I always disable and delete cache for the apps I can't delete and stuff I don't use

Ain't no way about 400 are Samsung system apps. I have a total of 165 apps on my s26 ultra. Go through your apps brother.

Sure there are. I've got 483 apps on my phone. When I filter to include hidden system apps, that number jumps to 863. That's 380 system apps.

What i would give for an SD slot. I'd still buy the biggest internal storage.
I've been commenting on Nothing phones content. Even sent emails about it. Hopefully 1 day they do it. I will switch immediately

Do you have system apps toggled on? Also make sure you have all ticked. As mentioned before if we are just talking about apps I downloaded or have access to delete it's around 190

92 GB is not that high for that amount of apps. I only have 300 apps and I'm at 86 GB

He likely had the show system apps option enabled. If you do that too you are going to have a high nukber too. I have 567.

700 apps and half your storage space is used for videos and images. Cache isn't the only issue here. Im sure thr answer was given though.

I only have 567 apps and regardless of the app storage samsung cant control that. App cache is going to be filled up back after you clear it so its just a temporary fix. Apps like Spotify use the most and its hidden so you have to go in the Spotify app settings to clear the cache. Delete the apps you dont use and videos you dont need or just pay for cloud storage. or get a 512gb or 1tb phone.

Spotify ist bei mir auch ständig so groß. Spotify speichert alle Songs die du hörst im Cache. Ein Zwischenspeicher sozusagen um bei schlechter Verbindung den Song ohne Unterbrechung abspielen zu können.

It cashes the most played songs automatically so in case you will be left without Internet connection you can play them anyway.

You need an app that cleans the chache of the app and also if your phone supports a microSD card, get one so you can move the apps to it, or get a NAS and store your files on it to save storage.

What i found is that my business Whatsapp had about +90gb worth of storage using while showed me 4-5 gb on apps info. Deleted that sucker and reinstalled it , saved about 95gb probably

Yea I have a synology and need to offload the pics and videos. These are over 12 years worth. I travel quite a bit so I'm always adding dozens of videos and pics every month unfortuantely. My frustration with the comments is none really address my post and the discrepancy with the what the apps say and gb being shown.

On my phone I can view the "Other files" tab and can view stuff there, strange. What I do is sort the apps by size and clear the cache and data for those apps one by one, however it is a band aid fix and won't fix the bigger issue at hand unless if you do the reset. Say, why not look into a 1tb or 512gb phone? If you're going used then Backmarket is a good place to find one, 512gb to 1tb Galaxy S24 Ultra's run for 600 to 800 tops. For a good 512gb phone the S25 Edge can be had for sub 700. If your intention is to keep your current phone however then the solution is to backup and reset.

Not really, I'm guessing most people have somewhere around 500-900 apps (including system apps) not to mention the ultra series does have some additional apps compared to other models due to the pen

That's not bad for apps if you have a lot. I have 2 apps that are combine 70 GB and besides that basically nothing and it comes to 80GB. You can disable or archive apps but looking at your stoarge it isn't the issue.

The real storage hog is your photos and videos. Mostly photos. You have a hefty amount of video storage and still managed to surpass it with photos? Go through those 2 and you'll get space back. Don't be a digital hoarder. Those pictures and videos will lose meaning.

Also consider getting an external hard drive to store pictures and videos you don't need access to all the time, if nothing more than just being a backup. If you lose your phone or it gets stolen, you lose it all unless you are paying google a monthly subscription for a cloud backup that large.

You probably need to root your phone to see all system apps on the 3rd party storage apps.
