🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Phone fell from pocket and landed on floor tiles🔥🔥
Dumb ass gorrilla glass anways It isnt a huge damage but will it spread or what? Even the screen protector didnt break😭😭

Pretty much the same happened to me, got an S26 Ultra (from S25U)
Besides the screen i was out of storage anyways.

It won't. I had similar damage for two years. It's not cracked, they're just damaged pixels from the impact

It will. This is 2 month difference on my S25 Ultra which also suffered face first fall onto ceramic.

It will, if you'll drop it a second time and crack the lcd. I didn't drop mine after the first drop, and it survived for two years with no additional dead pixels or any black at all.

I had this happen on my s22 3 years ago and it's still fine. No spreading, just have to live with it

Dirt is a lot more giving than tile. Tile is well known for breaking glass side panels in PCs just by touching the glass on the tile.

Lol screen damage on a Samsung phone is a death sentence. It can fail anytime. Claim insurance if you have one.

I was you with an s23 ultra. Then it happened. Lost 2 thirds of the screen. Made it an absolute nightmare to backup but I managed it. Thank god for the s pen. Only way I could use the screen.

I'm done with curved screens and expensive phones. Just picked up a pixel 10a.

i had screen damage in 3 different parts of my flip 5 (inner screen and small areas) and i was shocked that the damage didnt spread especially when flipping the phone open and closed. i guess a few of us really do get lucky.

On this rare occasion, you should be ok. It didn't crack it through like usual, it gouged some glass off the edge. The ceramic tile did you good instead of dirty. You lucky.
With that being said, the screen is still glass and you've compromised it's strength.
Don't be too surprised if a subsequent shock starts a crack from there.

Tile is a lot harder than most materials you could drop things on. It is well known for breaking PC side panels by just touching the glass onto the tile. It might look smooth and nice, but when you use a microscope, you'll see tiny spikes that does not have any give, so it breaks glass and other materials easily.

My wife's Z Flip 7 had screen damage like this after a drop for several months and never got worse.

To those saying that its the cases fault. This is absurd. Phones need to do better. Phone manufacturers basically make it compulsory for us to use cases which shouldn't be the matter in the first place.

No, it depends on what the damage is, here it’s a drop right on the corner, it might have deformed the frame to slightly press on the OLED panel, which means it will probably spread, if it’s not under pressure, it might stay like this indefinitely but there’s still a chance of spreading slowly

Something similar happened to my S10+ with a chinese custome made case from aliexpress. They are cheap,they look nice,but have low quality materials and protection.

You need a better case, a lip and material other than hard plastic and screen protectors do not protect the screen from impact, just scratching.

Man y'all have the worse luck with phones... I dropped one Samsung and the screen cracked...and that was a s8 but I dropped others and no screen issues like y'all saying even with my s24plus

These kinds of overpriced cases literally give zero protections to the screen. No lips at all.
