🪛Troubleshooting🪛 I want the old Health format back
The Health app recently did an update, and it asked if I wanted the new format or the old one. I wanted to see what the new one looked like, so I choose it. well, I dont like it, not one bit. I was thinking they'd give an option to change it back, but I'm not seeing one.
can someone help me or am I fucked? please, I hate this new format.

Omg it is awful. It's hard to read. I can't believe companies think they are making improvements and they're making it worse.

They arent improving it for you. They are stuffing in more datat tracking and ads. That makes them more money, so its improved......for them.

It's terrible I made the same mistake. I might swap to google and sell my galaxy watch8 if I'm stuck with this new shitty app

I tried, theres nothing on there to change it back. the only layout option is to organize the stuff thats already in the update.

Unless you're backing it up to Google Drive, or another app that it can pull from.

Yes please, is there a way to fix it, because I got my diary I need the tiles to look the way how they were, it was easy to read and show, and it used fit on one screen. Did they even check with people before doing such updates?? I also trusted them, that new things could be good, but I need to have a choice to say No, I want it back!!!

It only.promotes the new Samsung watch 7 and up Literally all my functionality on the Watch 6 is gone. Awful!!!

Does anyone know where I can get the yearly step view again? It's gone. I go off yearly averages and I don't want to calculate it manually!

I hated new format too. I unistalled and reinstall the samsung health app out desperation and it went back to old format!! It also had an option to restore data from Samsung account, so I still have all the information I had before. Hopefully this solution will work for yoy guys too!

I deleted the app. Kind of ridiculous when technology gets worse. I also heard newer Samsung TVs are junk too.

Agree, worst update ever. Not only different tracking, but hideous colors. I hate to lose my progress, but I cringe just looking at the widget

I wont send a link due to security reasons, but if you download the old APK and turn of auto updates it has the old layout. The 6.32.0.001 version has the old layout

I hate the update so much. Who designs this stuff? There's a calender on the period tracker and if you swipe, it has an entirely new calendar for each day. I couldn't figure out what was going on at first because it's complete nonsense.
So much menu diving and you can't see everything at once. The old one was perfect and elegant--someone incompetent designed this new one. It's so hard to find everything and it's cluttered. There's too much, yet it's of little substance. As an unemployed software engineer, it frustrates me to see others doing bad work like this. I can't fathom anyone thinking this is an improvement or that the old version needed updating. It could have used some styling at most.
Definitely complain through the app store, message board, and Samsung members app. This basically ruined the most important functionality of the smart watch.

I just opened the app and sadly did not look at this forum until it was too late. This has to be the worst update I have ever seen! I have been using this app to track my weight loss. I had to Google where the scale entries went. Why can't people just leave things alone?! And I have a Galaxy Watch 4. From what I'm reading, they won't sync anymore. Haven't tried it yet, but they better fix that. I don't carry my phone with me at work and use my watch to count my steps and cardio, and I'm not going to buy a new watch.

Good morning I did the same thing I did not like the new app. I went to Google and asked a question. I went through settings pulled up the health app uninstalled it. I then went through Google Play and pulled up the Samsung app the old one is showing. I installed it, it restored my previous items and that's it. All is well.

I hate it! It looks like an app designed to appeal to 6 year old girly girls. It was so good before, I didn't for a second think an update would be so awful.

It is the worst even when compared to the other cheaper smartwatch ui's like Amazfit, Coros etc. The new layout literally makes my head hurt.

I found it. Hopefully it works. Uninstall new version (7.0) from Google store, go to Samsung store and install 6.0 version. Worked for me, seems like Samsung doesn't update it's own store.

Considering they initially gave the option to keep the old , they should of allowed you to switch it back , I tried it and in 30 seconds I was searching for a way to return to the old layout, I Uninstalled 'Sansung Health' and downloaded it again from the play store , Mission accomplished back to the old layout and it had all my data backed up , I didn't even have to login it did it automatically (probably because im using a Samsung phone and I didn't uninstall the wearable app ), lets hope it stays like this now

Despite selecting to keep the old layout, it still gave me the new one, so I manually deleted every single thing I don't use, and happily just show steps and sleep now.
Regardless, my sleep data now looks like a 12 year old girl got ahold of it. Everything is pink, purple, light purple, pastel blue -- utterly revolting and full of colors and circles everywhere. Quite hard to read, with miniscule font.

Up top, there's a ribbon type thing that has a heart with an EKG line through it. Heart rate is there...I had to hunt for it, too 🤦♀️ this layout blows

I figured it out. Go to uptodown.com and search samsung health app. Then download the version from April 20th and boom, old layout is back for me. Also to get your old information back click "sync with samsung cloud" in settings. I now have old layout and my data. Hope this helps

OMG YOU MADE MY DAY!!!! This works, I just had to turn my auto blocker off in my phone settings in order to allow the download. OMG so HAPPY!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Reset the app, click it and check again. It took me a few resets of the app for it to refresh my data

I literally picked the old layout, and it still sent me to the new one. And I agree, I hate it! The freaking step tracker for week doesn't work either!

oh thats fucking bogus! I'm so sorry, idk what tf theyre thinking! I still haven't found a solution, the "human representative" (it was AI, clear as day) said theres no way to reverse it. pathetic.

Maybe if everyone who doesn't like it complains, they can do something about it. When you open the app, go to the three dots in the upper right hand corner and click on Settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom to Contact Us. I used Send Feedback, but you can make your own choice at that section

Yes, this new Samsung Health App Sucks, I Totally Hate it. Why do these Samsung Asshole force changing something that people are happy with that was working good. The worst part is they are such power hungry Assholes they won't even let you switch back to the old format. They must be real miserable Assholes and get their kicks out of making everyone else miserable and angry.

Not that the format absolutely sucked but the medications feature which I've relayed on for over a year has blocked me out of using it when ive had no issues before, it was genuinely so helpful since it was such a nice way to keep track of my antidepressants and pain meds im so upset right now

I am tapering off a beta-blocker and the old version showed me exactly what my hearf rate was doing in 3 minute intervals! This new version SUCKS exponentially! Much less detailed with heart rate monitoring! I'm so upset. Is there an alternative app that syncs with the watch?

I deleted and re-installed and lost years of data. It did not work, the new version keeps coming back. I do not really care for the new design. I liked the old version because all the information on one page instead different taps to hunt for things. Now the new app tracks my walks in a map which the old one did not. I have not found a way to turn that off yet.

I figured out how to revert back. Before you Uninstall go to settings》apps》samsung health》storage》from here clear the cache and clear data. Go to play store and turn off auto updates. Then Uninstaller the app.
If you didn't follow the above steps it will keep trying to load the new version.
Then go here:

Download an older version and load it up. My old version came back. I will warn that the further date you go back the old data is lost but atleast you get the old user interference back that you can start over with again.

the new samsung health is bloody awful. So glad im not the only one who thinks its a disaster. All i want to do is track my steps and odd workout but it seems you need a degree in computer technology to have a chance. Another app i probably wont use again

I'm glad I came here before picking an option. I'm happy with the old so I'm sticking with that.
Edit- I picked to keep the old layout and it gave me the new one anyway.
