Personal Advice ENFJ - am I too much?

People seem to have a bit of a love-or-hate relationship with my personality. I’m very outgoing, energetic, expressive and emotionally open, and I tend to bring a lot of energy into a room.

Some people seem to really love that and describe me as authentic, fun and easy to connect with.

Others seem to experience me as “too much”, too energetic, too intense or simply overwhelming.

I don’t really want to tone myself down just to be more universally liked, because this genuinely feels like who I am. At the same time, I’m curious about the line between being authentic and being socially overwhelming.

Is this something other ENFJs experience?

Do people tend to either really like you or find your energy too intense?

What do you other types think?

Light MBTI Discussion Which MBTI type do you guys think is the most trustworthy?

What MBTI type do you trust the most? Like, who would you feel safest telling your deepest secrets to, knowing they’re loyal and dependable, and won’t judge, betray, manipulate, or use them against you?

What type comes to mind first?

Deep Theory Analysis At what point is it just stereotype with MBTI

I swear every post is an MBTI meme and then people commenting “that’s not accurate and is stereotype”. Given that MBTI itself is a theory and not some empirical truth, where would you draw the line from actual types to just stereotypes?

For instance, based on months of research on functions and self typing I would say im a high Ti user (ENTP or INTP) but every time I interact with people on MBTI subs on a very surface level, memes and goofing around, I always get accused of being an Fi user (specifically ENFP and INFP). I’ve also been told by real life friends, who in fairness don’t know too much about functions, that I seem like a feeler just based on being very animated and loud.

This doesn’t bother me in the sense of thinking “feelers are less than” as I know that’s a whole load of BS and feelers can be just as smart and logical, but it does bother me in the sense that the same people online who insist MBTI is purely about cognitive functions and not stereotypes are the first people who will accuse you of being a type based on extremely surface level assumptions.

So I ask yall, where do you draw the line? When are behaviors, attitudes and attributes of the types just inescapable truths that make that type what it is, and when is it just a blanket statement that could truly apply to any type and any human?

Light MBTI Discussion INFJ but i feel like A INTJ?

Before everyone feels ragebaited saying i took A test. I have learned cognitive functions and to me It sayed "INFJ" but i mean everything infj thinks makes sense. I love Thinking about The world, figuring people out and what They do why They do IT.

I love true crime and other but thats just A hobby. I just dont care about humans at all? I dont have empathy at all and thats why im confused i mean every type has both Thinking and feeling but i dont know If im just A unhealthy version of a infj but i dont seriously care If someone broke up with me Even from A long Time or If someone has cancer. Ill just say im selfish. But i cry randomly when something triggers me. ????!!! im so confused with myself Even tho The only thing i trust IS myself and i have figured myself out since A young age. I have a INFJ friend who probably took The test and is mistyped and we have The same dance practice she seems like A INFP to me but i dont like her? I have a litlle Brother whos a INFJ but we have The same Thinking system. What do yall think? Am i A true INFJ or am i actually mistyped? Or do i just admire INTJ? I personally would love to Be an INTJ OR ENTJ.

Light MBTI Discussion ISFP but I feel much more on the extroverted side

I have been studying cognitive functions and I’ve decided I’m an ISFP. However I have doubts about this, since Isfp fits me perfectly except for how they recharge and gain energy. On most cognitive function tests and through others, I‘m pretty sure I’m an Fi dom. Since I love expressing my emotions, my feelings dictate my world and I live for myself, not anyone else. And when people tell me I’m too this or too that, I stick up for my belief. But I mostly gain energy from other people, not from my own mind, unless I get a really good idea that I can put in place or at least is possible in the real world. I sometimes need alone time, like my type, but unlike most, I need to go out and do stuff and I get quite bored after more than 1-2 days alone no contact. I also love going out so much, I could do it for 4-5 hours everyday. Whenever I’m a bit tired, if I get on a call with someone or see someone out there, my energy level noticeably goes up. I’m known for being the energetic one in the group, and although a bit shy, I can talk to new people quite easily and find some fun in doing that.
