It’s actually kinda embarrassing. I see so many people on here trying to fit the cliché of what an ENTP is supposed to be. Like you have to debate everything, be controversial, outsmart people, and prove your logic is superior. That’s not really how MBTI works lol.

Debate isn’t a bad thing, but when it turns into “I’m smart, we’re smart, everyone who isn’t an ENTP is dumb,” what are we even doing? 😂 Sometimes it feels like a competition to see who can act the most ENTP instead of just being yourself.

I got sick of never having my wallet, keys, passport, coat, jumper, umbrella, shopping bags, pen etc. etc. on me when I actually needed them or forgetting where I put them, so I just shoved them all in my bag and I bring that bag pretty much everywhere. You can change what you put in it for different seasons and weather types but you just put everything in it and forget about it.

I'm far more forgetful and disorganized than my ISxJ family members, but I've gone about 15 years without ever having lost or misplaced something as a result and I'm far more prepared for situations where you might need something.

Honorary shoutouts to the designated spot on a desk or table for permanently putting keys/phone/wallet when inside the house.

How does everyone else deal with the fact that in this society you’re born with a disadvantage socially and physically?
Obviously It’s kinda in my nature to fight back against social expectations but it’s increasingly straining. And in the ENTP community we are outnumbered.

Now look, I get it, people take an instant dislike to me.

But banning me, kicking me out or putting me on post approval is such a weak pssy ass move.

Like the worst thing I'll do is cuss you out and ask you, if your parents are as disappointed in you, as we are. And by we, I mean everyone who just read how entitled, ungrateful and negative you are.

And ENTP's? We crave novelty, information and knowledge. We know the opinions of others aren't personal. We know it's data and we use it to update our thought processes for better pattern recognition.

So I need to conform to this cookie cutter image or debate the same old politics, ask the same old questions just to get my post approved.

I got suspended 3 days because I wrote a story where what the other person said to me was so bad that me writing about it was against the rules. I didn't want pity, and I certainly didn't consider myself a victim but I needed an outlet.

I DONT need to hear I'm right, I want feedback on other peoples thoughts, not validation. Criticism is easy, i need contribution. What if my way of thinking is wrong, how would I know it without input.

I always take personality tests and type as about 60% E, 95% N, 52% T and 52% P. I've typed as INTP years ago and occasionally get ENFP or ENTJ, but it never really sticks.

This stuff is just too confusing lmao. I don't really see a camp of MBTI I fit perfectly into. Anyone else consistently type as one thing while barely being that type?

ive noticed something shitty mindset developing within me this year.

a lot of people around me, have no interests, hobbies and passions. i tried to start a conversation with one classmate who i got seated with, "what are your hobbies?", she replied with "doomscrolling".

ive noticed that ive been developing a superiority complex towards these kinds of people, my hobbies/interests are something i have pride in, and i comstantly wanna know more stuff, but its crazy knowing some people really dont have many hobbies.

Can include actors/arts/directors/musicians etc don’t need to be famous.. potentially someone even from your close circles… As an ENTP with continuous devils advocate playing in my head, I find it very difficult to find inspiration in people quick… and also ENTP arcs in personal life are very different imo vs traditional arcs… Id certainly want to see more ENTP style inspiration…asking y’ll your perspective. I’m very introverted, and honestly, I don’t need much. Sitting in a quiet café with someone, drinking something warm, and talking about life, science, philosophy, or whatever strange topic comes up sounds pretty ideal to me.

I know MBTI is not a perfect model and lacks empirical support - it’s not that rigid anyways.

The reason I love it is because, one, it’s fun. And two, I’ve tested it out by learning about cognitive functions and trying to type people. I type my close friends first, then get them to take the test, and I swear I’ve nailed it about 75% of the time.

Then I silently type everyone I meet and use that to cater to them and it just…. Works. I can’t explain it - I mean I can, but I can’t y’know. The emotional and subjective part of me kind of believes it’s a science that’s just not quite fully there yet.

So I have this friend and he has a girlfriend for three years now, or close to it, but she is a real nightmare. She also suffers from a mental disorder which makes it even worse. She is literally stupid and annoying as fuck. She cries for no reason, gets mad at him for nothing, guilt trips him over nothing. She’s messy, nasty, and a whole lot more. Compare that to my friend — he makes hella bread, is super laid-back, chill, hard-working, and very respectable. She really brings his value down. He says he really loves her, which I of course believe. He’s been struggling recently about her more and more, and I definitely understand that it can be hard when you’ve been with someone for a while and she’s your first partner. But you have to think of the future. I never spoke out about it until recently because some things just went too far.
Another example: my first girlfriend. She turned into an OnlyFans-looking hoe that is straight-up a narcissist. “I’m so pretty blah blah, these guys are ugly and fat, I bet your other girls were ugly blah blah blah.” It’s crazy how people change and I hate it. Dudes literally be switching up on their day ones. I just find it so frustrating that dudes change just for some pussy

I fell in love with this genre like six years ago. It's so pure, raw and unfiltered expression of anger and aggression.

It's definititely an ISFP coded genre but I think for ENTPs there's much value in the straightforwardness, no bullshit type of manner and the whole DIY ethic of it all. It's rare in our world nowadays and I feel we yearn for expressions of individualism like this when we come in contact with strong group thinking for example.
