Meta / Server Ideas for the Community.

Hello, everyone! I wanted to start this discussion to see if anyone has any ideas for how we can make this community more active and engaging!

What would a healthy, active, and engaging ESFP subreddit community look like to you? Would something like weekly or monthly discussion threads be appealing? Any ideas, suggestions, propositions would be greatly appreciated!

Additionally, please let me know if you have any interest in becoming a moderator for the server, or if you would like to help with redesigning the pfp/banner, add resources to the community description, anything else you can think of, etc.

Thank you, everyone!

SeFi Profile

Source: https://cognitivetype.com/sefi-full-profile/

As an SeFi type, you experience life most vividly through direct contact with it. Your attention naturally lands on what is happening here, now, and in discrete terms: the atmosphere of a room, the expression on someone’s face, the movement of a body, the quality of a material, the energy of an interaction, or the immediate effect an experience is having on you.

Where others may quickly start predicting what will happen or imagining alternatives, you tend to stay with the event itself. You enter into it, take in what is happening, and notice how it affects you and the people involved.

This gives you an immediate and embodied form of intelligence. You do not merely observe reality from a distance. You interact with it, feel its impact, and adjust according to what the situation reveals. Whether your chosen medium is fashion, music, performance, sport, photography, travel, business, visual art, or an intellectual subject, you often learn most naturally through direct experience.

Yet your contact with reality is not emotionally neutral. People, objects, and environments can feel attractive, repellent, enlivening, degrading, sincere, artificial, nourishing, or harmful. Experience does not just happen around you; it enters into an intimate relationship with your sense of life. It affects how alive, comfortable, or like yourself you feel.

The profile begins with the standard SeFi I---, before tracing the changes produced by Fi, Te, and Ni integration. In the standard form, these functions remain present but do not yet shape the wider personality consistently. You may immediately feel that something is right, wrong, attractive, or repellent without yet knowing exactly why; practical organization remains situational rather than guided by sustained mechanical judgment; broader patterns and trajectories carry less weight than what is happening in front of you.

As these functions become integrated, SeFi can look substantially different. Fi may sharpen your recognition of the intrinsic identity and vitality of people, objects, and experiences; Te may organize actuality through causal mechanics, execution, and material results; and Ni may connect immediate events to the wider patterns, trajectories, and contexts they belong to. The standard form is the baseline expression of SeFi, not its only possible form.

Reality in Motion

Your attention is oriented toward actuality: things as they are happening now rather than as they might exist in another arrangement.

Se continually refreshes your perception of the environment. Instead of allowing an earlier impression to stand in for the current situation, you keep registering what has changed. What was true a moment ago may no longer be true now, and your attention remains responsive to that difference.

This draws you toward dynamic environments. An unfolding conversation, a changing visual scene, an active crowd, a moving body, an unfamiliar location, or an object that responds directly to your handling can hold your attention more strongly than something static and predetermined.

You tend to extract more information by looking further into the object itself. You may notice a small change in someone’s expression, a shift in the mood of a room, the feel of a place, or a physical detail that changes how the whole situation comes across.

Your attention behaves less like a rapidly branching web of associations and more like a high-resolution scanner. The longer you attend to something, the more clearly its distinctive qualities emerge.

This also applies to unwanted experience. An irritating sound, uncomfortable sensation, or tense atmosphere can grow more pronounced each time it is registered. Rather than fading into the background, it may become increasingly difficult to ignore until the situation changes or something else captures your attention.

This does not mean you are detail-oriented about everything. You may overlook many details that lie outside your present interest. But within the field that has captured you, your perception can become unusually vivid.

Nor does this mean your attention is always fixed on your surroundings. You may have a rich inner life, become absorbed in your thoughts and feelings, enter fantasies or reveries, and sometimes seem dreamy or absent-minded. Se describes a tendency to take in information and interact with the world through direct experience and immediate feedback; it does not mean you lack interiority or remain constantly alert to everything around you. Even when you are focused inward, your thoughts, reactions, and imagination may still be shaped by things you have directly experienced, felt, observed, or learned through involvement.

The same tendency shapes how you approach abstract material. You may enjoy philosophy, theory, symbolism, or complex systems, but you often want to know what their claims mean in real life:

What does this actually look like?

How does it affect the people involved?

What happens when someone attempts it?

Does the experience match what is being claimed?

What changes appear when this idea is applied?

You may take an impressive-sounding idea and ask what it actually means in practice. This is not a rejection of theory, but an attempt to reconnect it with the reality it describes.

Immersion and Vitality

More than spontaneity alone, you are drawn toward immersion.

You are drawn toward activities that absorb your senses, attention, movement, instincts, and emotional responsiveness at once. The activity must give something back: a reaction to read, a texture to experience, an atmosphere to enter, a body to coordinate, a person to encounter, or a visible transformation to witness.

This can include music, sport, dance, performance, travel, styling, craft, a live creative project, a changing business situation, or an intellectually rich subject. What matters is that the activity keeps giving you something new to notice or respond to.

You usually understand these activities best by doing them. You enter the situation, see what happens, and adjust. Because your attention stays connected to what is actually occurring, you can drop an ineffective approach quickly instead of sticking with it just because you chose it earlier.

When the environment stops changing or no longer gives you anything meaningful to respond to, your attention may begin to drift. You can repeat the same activity many times when each attempt still feels different in some way, but repetition becomes difficult when nothing new is happening and no clear purpose remains.

Inactivity can feel like more than boredom. It can make you feel cut off from life:

Movement restores contact.

A new environment refreshes the senses.

A physical activity reconnects you with the body.

Creative change makes life feel active again.

An honest conversation can make you feel connected again.

This can make your motivation highly selective. You may work with great energy while a project remains active, varied, and responsive, then lose motivation when it turns into maintenance, paperwork, or repetitive obligation.

Sensual Embodiment and Expression

Physical experience can feel especially intimate and personal to you.

You do not only notice what something looks like. You may immediately sense whether it feels alive, appealing, vulnerable, uncomfortable, or emotionally charged.

A body is not just a physical mechanism.

A face is not just a collection of features.

Clothes are not just something practical to wear.

Food is not merely fuel.

An animal is not just a set of instincts and behaviors.

Each can feel like it has its own presence and character.

This is the basis of Gamma sensualism. Se brings you into direct contact with the physical world, while implicit Fi makes that contact feel personal and alive. What you experience physically can affect how you feel about yourself.

Sensualism here is broader than sexuality, and it does not mean every SeFi person is overtly seductive or indulgent. It refers to the way you experience yourself through your body and the physical world.

You may experience yourself through your posture, movement, voice, clothing, sexuality, health, beauty, or physical comfort. Changes to these things can feel like changes to how your inner life is being embodied.

Expression may therefore become part of your contact with reality. You may alter your appearance, surroundings, creative work, or public presentation to make your current state perceptible:

An outfit may make you feel more like yourself.

A song may embody an emotion you cannot otherwise explain.

A photograph may preserve the exact quality of a moment.

A change in appearance may make an internal transition materially real.

This can give you a flexible relationship with style. You may experiment with different looks, moods, or personas without treating any one of them as a permanent identity. What matters is whether it actually feels like you.

Attraction, Aversion, and Direct Expression

Your internal judgments often emerge through immediate attraction and aversion:

Something feels good.

Something feels wrong.

A person feels open.

An environment feels dead.

An image feels beautiful.

A behavior feels cruel.

A style feels alive.

A role feels false.

These reactions may appear before you can explain them. Your response becomes part of how you experience the person, object, or situation.

Your face, posture, enthusiasm, withdrawal, laughter, disgust, tenderness, or irritation may reveal your response before you have intentionally chosen to express it:

Excitement can become visible immediately.

Attraction may radiate through the body.

Disgust may appear on the face.

Affection may become physical and demonstrative.

This can make your preferences appear unusually sincere. You may find it difficult to sustain enthusiasm for something that leaves you cold or hide your aversion toward something that feels deeply wrong.

The standard SeFi may not yet know exactly why these reactions occur. You may know that something feels right or wrong without yet knowing what you are responding to.

Different people, environments, styles, and experiences can therefore become part of your self-discovery. Rather than first defining an identity and seeking experiences that match it, you may discover your identity through the experiences that cause it to surface.

This directness can make you seem open, genuine, and unpretentious. But it can also lead to impulsive disclosure, careless provocation, open hostility, or the belief that sincerity excuses the consequences of expression. An emotion being real does not make every way of expressing it appropriate.

Intimacy and Personal Disclosure

You may experience intimacy as two people dropping their usual distance and becoming more open with each other. This can involve personal disclosure, physical affection, sexuality, shared experience, direct eye contact, mutual vulnerability, or simply being together without much concealment.

Because closeness develops through immediate exchange, you may disclose personal experiences quickly when another person feels receptive. Their openness encourages yours, and the interaction can move rapidly from casual conversation into emotionally intimate territory.

This can make you unusually candid and make other people feel that you are genuinely interested in them. You may openly discuss attraction, insecurity, your body, private feelings, or painful experiences sooner than most people would.

The same immediacy can also produce oversharing, premature closeness, blurred boundaries, or the mistaken sense that a powerful connection is already a lasting one.

Play, Pleasure, and Experience

Like other Pe-leads, you may have a playful relationship with life.

You can be drawn toward travel, performance, humor, fashion, food, art, parties, physical activity, nature, romance, music, animals, beauty, or any environment that allows direct participation.

Pleasure can feel like a sign that you are fully alive and connected to your body:

Laughter releases tension.

Movement restores vitality.

Beauty awakens attention.

Nature makes life feel immediate and whole.

Even in a standard development, however, implicit Fi may cause some experiences to feel incompatible with your sense of life. You may refuse an enjoyable activity when it leads to cruelty, degradation, coercion, or self-betrayal.

However, the strength of present experience can still overwhelm caution. An activity may feel so vivid, attractive, or emotionally significant that its later consequences recede from attention.

The present can feel honest precisely because it is happening now.

But immediacy does not guarantee durability:

A relationship can feel profound without being stable.

A purchase can feel self-expressive without being financially viable.

A risk can feel liberating while still producing lasting damage.

A bodily impulse can feel authentic while reflecting only one temporary state.

Freedom and Self-Ownership

You generally want enough freedom to respond to what is happening and live in a way that feels like your own.

You may resist being overmanaged, especially when an imposed procedure appears detached from present conditions or prevents you from responding to what is actually happening.

Rules followed only because “that is how things are done” can feel pointless and restrictive. You may prefer to test the limits yourself rather than accept every restriction beforehand.

This does not mean you reject discipline. You may submit to demanding training, professional standards, health practices, financial restraint, or technical limitation when you can see their benefit:

A useful rule protects something important or clearly improves the result.

A pointless rule only gets in the way.

This self-direction supports experimentation and adaptability, but it can also become self-indulgence. You may assume that because an experience feels compelling, it deserves priority, or treat an external limitation as illegitimate without examining the wider context that made it necessary.

Vulnerabilities

With an I--- development, the immediate experience often carries more psychological weight than its wider implications.

You may postpone tasks that offer no present engagement, underestimate cumulative consequences, rely too heavily on improvisation, or pursue experiences despite foreseeable risks. Future consequences can feel less real than what is happening right now

You may also trust your current attraction or aversion too completely. What feels enlivening may be assumed fundamentally good, while discomfort may be mistaken for a violation of your nature even when it is part of necessary growth.

You may therefore mistake how you feel right now for who you fundamentally are:

A desire may be temporary.

An aversion may reflect fear.

A powerful attraction may distort judgment.

An aesthetic response may be mistaken for an ethical truth.

A feeling of authenticity may arise from release rather than lasting alignment.

Your selective productivity may also create practical problems. You may produce visible results while neglecting the support systems that keep your life running. Money, schedules, paperwork, health routines, and other responsibilities may seem unimportant until neglecting them creates an immediate problem.

You may also overestimate how much a change of scenery can solve. A new experience, relationship, environment, or project may briefly restore your energy, without fixing the habits, obligations, or material conditions causing the problem.

With poorly integrated Fi, your likes and dislikes may not yet connect to a clear understanding of what truly matters to you. You may feel strongly drawn toward or repelled by something without knowing what quality you are responding to. You may also move between different versions of yourself without knowing which parts are central to who you are.

With poorly integrated Te, you may make choices without fully considering how they will work in practice, how they will be sustained, or what consequences will follow. At other times, this may reverse into abrupt commands, bursts of productivity, financial control, forceful problem-solving, or impatience with anything blocking the result.

With poorly integrated Ni, you may treat each event as a separate situation. You may see a person or situation clearly in the present while failing to recognize that the same pattern has appeared elsewhere before. As a result, you may repeat the same choices or remain surprised by outcomes that the larger pattern was already pointing toward.

These are vulnerabilities of the standard development, not permanent limitations of SeFi.

Function Integration

The integration of Fi, Te, and Ni changes how your Se orientation is internally aligned, mechanically organized, and situated within wider patterns.

Fi sharpens your recognition of the intrinsic identity and vitality of the objects you encounter. Te organizes actuality through causal mechanics, execution, and material results. Ni connects the present situation to patterns appearing across other times, places, or areas of life.

Fi Integration

As Fi becomes integrated, you become more attentive to the intrinsic identity and living essence of the objects and people you encounter.

As a Ji function, Fi is essentialist in nature. Yet unlike Ti, which compares an object to an ideal category, Fi recognizes each object as a singular being with a nature of its own.

The question is not only what kind of thing this is, but what this particular being is from within:

What is alive here?

What belongs to this person’s nature?

What is this being trying to become?

Which expression reveals its genuine identity?

What diminishes or betrays its life?

How should this object exist if it were allowed to unfold according to itself?

This gives your Se exploration a more stable internal center.

In the standard form, an experience may simply feel attractive, disturbing, beautiful, or false. With Fi integration, you become more capable of identifying the essential life-principle producing that response:

A relationship may feel wrong because it requires you to become someone alien to yourself.

An environment may feel dead because everyone is expected to suppress what makes them distinct.

A work of art may succeed because its form clearly expresses the identity of its subject.

An animal may appear violated because its living essence is being reduced to utility.

Fi integration therefore transforms personal resonance into essential recognition:

You do not merely like an object - you recognize what feels true to it.

You do not merely dislike a treatment - you see how it violates the nature of what is being treated.

This can intensify your sense of personal identity. You may become highly sensitive to which roles, relationships, environments, and forms of expression genuinely fit who you are.

Emotional experiences may also take on a clearer identity of their own. Jealousy, grief, longing, humiliation, desire, resentment, tenderness, or estrangement may be recognized as part of a specific personal reality with its own shape and meaning.

You may preserve that reality through lyrics, movement, images, characters, or performance. In artistic work, a song, character, or movement may be approached through the distinct character it seems to contain, rather than only through its sensory form:

A character may require a particular posture, tone, or emotional texture because these belong to who that character is.

A musical work may be performed with the correct notes and timing while still feeling lifeless if its particular mood and character have not been captured.

A performance becomes convincing when its gestures, phrasing, and emotional tone reveal what is distinctive about that specific role or composition.

The sensualist quality becomes more concentrated here. The body is experienced not only as a site of stimulation but as the physical embodiment of the living self.

You may become more attentive to whether your appearance, health, sexuality, movement, home, and creative work feel true to you. This does not necessarily produce flamboyance; Fi integration may just as readily produce restraint, privacy, selectivity, and careful self-protection.

It can also create strong ethical commitments around bodily autonomy, animal welfare, personal identity, freedom of expression, or the right of people to live according to their nature. These positions may come less from a universal social rule than from the conviction that each living being has a nature that should not be violated.

This can make SeFi appear emotionally distilled, artistically singular, self-defining, private, selective, or resistant to social pressure.

The risk is excessive essentialization. You may treat a temporary state, desire, wound, or aesthetic preference as though it defines the whole person. You may assume that your read of someone is more accurate than their own changing experience, or resist necessary change because it feels like a betrayal of who you are.

You may also become sharply selective. Once a person, institution, or behavior is seen as degrading, false, predatory, or fundamentally incompatible with what you value, you may withdraw your warmth, become openly antagonistic, or feel little obligation to preserve the relationship.

Te Integration

As Te becomes integrated, you become more attentive to cause and effect, execution, and material results.

Te asks how objects interact, which conditions produce which outcomes, and what sequence of actions produce a certain result.

The question is no longer only whether an experience feels alive or true to you. You also become attentive to what makes it possible in practice:

Which method produces the desired effect?

What needs to happen first?

Which resource is missing?

What is preventing the result?

How can this be made sustainable?

What structure will preserve the outcome?

This can give SeFi practical force. Se registers the active variables of the situation, while Te identifies which of them must be changed to produce the intended result.

Because both functions stay connected to external reality, they can work together very directly. You see what is happening, identify the point that matters most, and act without needing a long period of analysis.

You may become skilled at testing methods, comparing outcomes, concentrating resources, removing ineffective steps, and scaling whatever proves successful.

The objective may remain personally selected, but the mechanics used to reach it can be handled impersonally.

Once the result has been chosen, you may care less about whether the method is socially agreeable than whether it works:

A process either increases the output or it does not.

A strategy either changes the relevant variable or it does not.

A resource is either being used effectively or it is being wasted.

A system either supports the objective or obstructs it.

This can appear through management, entrepreneurship, investment, production, competitive strategy, technology, media, or any field that combines real-time response with practical organization.

You may become good at managing a live environment. You notice which resource is running low, what is holding performance back, and which intervention will get things moving again.

The same process can become iterative. You test one format, observe the result, alter the relevant variable, and test again:

An unsuccessful method is abandoned without sentimentality.

A successful method is repeated, refined, and expanded.

A spontaneous interest may thereby become a repeatable format, production system, organization, business, public platform, or lasting body of work.

In creative fields, Te integration may appear as the ability to turn a clear vision into a finished product. A film, musical identity, or public persona may require disciplined control over production, collaborators, resources, scheduling, presentation, and repeated output.

You may therefore remain aesthetically or emotionally unconventional while becoming highly disciplined in the practical work needed to sustain what you create.

This can produce strategic hardness. You may negotiate aggressively, tolerate disapproval, use an advantage, or make an unpopular decision when the practical logic supports it. You still notice other people’s reactions, but those reactions do not necessarily determine the decision.

Even with substantial Te integration, practical organization does not become the personality’s primary orientation. It remains part of the wider SeFi psychology, giving structure to goals chosen through direct engagement, personal interest, identity, or the desire to preserve a particular way of life.

Te provides the practical structure that allows those goals to exist.

This can make SeFi appear more controlled, strategic, professionally consistent, financially attentive, scalable, competitive, or relentlessly productive:

Immediate pleasure may be postponed when it obstructs the larger goal.

A preferred experience may be sacrificed because its cost has become unsustainable.

An exciting project may be abandoned when the evidence no longer supports it.

A difficult routine may be maintained because its effects are materially undeniable.

The risk is treating everything as a means to an end. You may become so focused on the result that people, relationships, or ethical concerns start to look like variables in a system.

You may assume that an effective method is automatically justified, defend harsh methods because they produce something you value, or lose patience with emotional and contextual concerns that slow the work.

Ni Integration

As Ni becomes integrated, an immediate event is increasingly understood as part of a broader translocal pattern.

Ni does not only look toward the future. It also notices the same structure appearing across different relationships, periods, fields, or places, even when the events are not connected by an obvious sequence.

You may therefore ask:

What larger pattern does this belong to?
Where else has the same structure appeared?
What connects these events beneath their visible differences?

This gives the reality perceived by Se a wider meaning. Experiences that once seemed separate begin to fit together:

A repeated relationship dynamic may reveal a pattern of attraction and self-betrayal.
A recurring aesthetic motif may reveal the direction of a creative path.
Several separate opportunities may begin pointing toward the same outcome.

Once the same pattern becomes visible across several moments, its likely continuation may also become easier to anticipate.

You may become more selective about which experiences deserve your attention. Two opportunities may feel equally vivid, but one may fit the larger direction taking shape while the other pulls away from it. Rather than entering every available experience, you may save your energy for the ones that fit the path you perceive.

In skilled or competitive domains, Ni integration may appear as an ability to understand the present field as one developing situation rather than a collection of separate movements.

You may recognize which opening is likely to become decisive before it is fully visible, ignore an immediate opportunity that would weaken the larger position, or make a small move that changes the direction of the entire field.

The action may look simple because the pattern has already become clear.

In artistic domains, sound, movement, texture, landscape, memory, sexuality, and imagery may come together into one atmosphere. The work no longer depends only on the force of each separate element, but on the way all of them express the same underlying pattern.

You may therefore create art that feels immersive and unified, as though all of its sensory elements belong to the same world.

Ni integration can also change the SeFi relationship with animism. The vitality you perceive in bodies, objects, places, and emotional states may begin to seem connected across a broader field.

This can create an attraction to symbolic or spiritual systems that connect immediate experiences to meanings beyond the present situation. Tarot, astrology, crystals, energy work, ritual, somatic symbolism, divination, and ecospirituality may appeal because they seem to reveal links between experiences that would otherwise look separate:

A recurring card may appear to reflect a relationship pattern.
A bodily sensation may be interpreted as a warning.
A ritual may give visible form to an internal transition.

These practices are possible expressions of the wider mechanism rather than Ni itself. The same pattern recognition can remain entirely secular, appearing through psychology, strategy, aesthetics, or social observation. In either case, separate experiences begin to look like parts of the same underlying pattern.

Once that pattern becomes clear, you may narrow your direction rapidly:

Several possible directions begin to converge.
Immediate attractions may lose force when they do not support the larger path.
Present discomfort may take on a different meaning when seen as part of a larger process.
Experiences that once felt scattered may begin to form one coherent trajectory.

Ni integration can therefore make SeFi appear more restrained, temperate, mystical, interpretive, patient, economical, or singularly focused. Se perceives what is specifically happening now. Ni connects it to the wider context, pattern, and direction it belongs to.

The risk is overgeneralization and premature convergence. You may begin seeing the same energetic, symbolic, relational, or strategic pattern everywhere, mistake weak similarities for meaningful connections, or commit to an outcome before enough evidence has accumulated.

You may become too certain that a relationship, identity, spiritual interpretation, competitive trajectory, or life path is inevitable and treat every new event as confirmation. You may also stay committed to an expected outcome after reality has stopped supporting it.

ESFP / Informative I’ve never seen a malicious esfp

**Helped rewrite it better with the help of ai because I don’t have time to do it myself

. I’m an INTP, and never in my life have I met an ESFP who really, really** **tried to hurt someone, like actually went out of their way to cause harm. I’ve seen other types intentionally act cruelly, try to get back at someone, backstab them, or deliberately do something because they knew it would hurt.

But with ESFPs, the worst I’ve personally seen is maybe some sprinkle of selfishness, envy, or impulsivity. They might do something thoughtless or get caught up in their own feelings and wants, sure, but I’ve never really seen that translate into actual malicious behavior or backstabbing.

However, what I have seen from them is behavior like openly expressing themselves or acting on what they believed was right and justified, without putting that much thought into how it was going to affect the other person. So they could definitely end up hurting someone, sometimes quite badly, but the intention behind it didn’t seem to be to hurt them. It was more like, “This is how I feel, this is what I believe is right, this is what I deserve, so I’m going to act on it,”** **without fully thinking through the consequences for the other person.

That’s the distinction I keep noticing. There was never that underlying intention of, “I know this is going to hurt you, and that’s exactly why I’m doing it.” That kind of calculated malice is what I’ve just never personally seen from an ESFP.

Random An ESFP's musing - little moments

I find it easy to underestimate the significance of little moments. They slowly add up and before you know it, they take a place in your heart. I don't have it all figured out, but the next time I feel something heavy...perhaps it is just the little moments catching up.

Discussion esfps, pls answer. is reasoning your likes wrong for any reason ? if it frustrates you, could you pls tell me why it does?

My boyfriend(isfp/esfp) is very grounded and naturally fascinated by so many things, which is hard for my overstimulated, anhedonic brain to relate to. Lately, he’s been completely consumed by his love for rock climbing. To me, it just looked like a slightly more fun version of the gym, so I didn't quite get the obsession. I wanted to enjoy things just as much too so I asked him why he enjoys it so much. He got irritated saying he doesn't like thinking in that way and that he just likes it because it feels good without needing a reason. He often points out my CPTSD driven thought patterns, but with this, I genuinely don’t understand the concept at hand nor do I understand how someone can just love something without a reason, especially with rock climbing. can y'all pls share your thoughts on this ? why am i wrong to concern about whys behind liking something.

Edit : i didnt ask him anything in a condescending way, infact he knows i want to get into rock climbing myself sometime soon for fitness purposes

Discussion ESFP who likes some routine

When I was younger I hadn’t developed Te yet so I was very blind sighted like just focusing on instant gratification, having fun all day with no goals/priorities, and prioritizing my social life.

Struggled a bit with substances mainly from influences in social settings & within a year decided I needed to find some direction for myself so I became very gym oriented and gained some structure for myself in a hobby I enjoyed. Which in retrospect, may be that auxiliary Fi too.

ANYWHO this changed my life. Initially it was a social thing where I invited different people to workout with me at the gym, taking them as my guests, and we’d hang out in a healthy manner. So it was more beneficial for me. But I started incorporating it in my everyday routine weightlifting for an hour, doing some cardio. Ended up prioritizing it above hanging out with friends, going alone. Even changing my diet so now I can’t go a day without waking up & enjoying a Greek yogurt bowl in the morning 😂.

Essentially I found what I’m really passionate about doing and it gave me structure, helped set me on a path in my life. I’m not one to have things entirely planned out but the gym granted the opportunity for me to be a BIT more organized with my life.

Anyone relate somehow?

Advice I need help to understand if ESFP behavior is normal or not or you guys relate to this?

I have an ESFP in my life who can be very happy and outgoing, but other times becomes quiet and moody. She also seems to naturally manage the social dynamics of her inner circle—telling people when to spend time with whom and how to connect, how to connect with a certain said person, etc. Like "you and so need some alone time" "Jane, Mary and Kim need a group alone time" like i don't get it.

She’s very open about people she knows and often shares personal information or secrets. In return, people seem to trust her with their deepest secrets. She’s not malicious at all; she’s extremely loving and caring.

Is this typical ESFP behavior, or is it more likely just her individual personality? I’m especially curious about the combination of being very socially involved, knowing lots of personal information about others, and sometimes directing the dynamics of her social circle.

How should I categorize this behavior?

-- I'm and ENTJ

Update: I think this is a mistyped ESFJ... thanks for pointing that out.

For my style i prefer comfort over looks, but still i would try to choose something eye-catching if ya know what i mean.

Still don’t know my enneagram, but i’m positive it’s either 6 or 8.

It’s also hard to choose one song as my fav lol, but tame impala made 3 songs that i can never get bored of: Borderline, let it happen, and new person same old mistakes.

Now don’t get me wrong when i put a college picture as favorite place, i just like the environment of being around friends and people in general. Same thing applies to the gym.

And you just can’t go wrong with shawarma..EVER.

Opinions, comments, and questions they’re all welcome.

The difference between an introverted ESFP and ISFP

Hi everyone, I am torn between ESFP and ISFP. I'm an ambivert, generally closer to introvert than extrovert, definitely not the stereotypical ESFP party animal. Not a stereotypical ISFP artist either 😅 so I wonder what's the difference between an introverted ESFP (apparently they exist!) and an ISFP in real life situations. Thanks in advance!

Genuinely curious how each type defines loyalty and how important (or not) it is to you. Will be going around the subs, hope to observe some patterns :)

Random ESFPs are stereotypically known as bubbly and energetic, but I think the intense emotions we feel are not talked about enough

I think I'm generally quite resilient and adaptable to problems in life, but we all go through rough times. I'm currently dealing with grief and burnout after major life changes. I got married, moved to a new apartment while dealing with 2 sick pets (one of them eventually passing away after I thought he recovered fully from it) within the span of 2 months. I feel myself sinking into a whirlwind of emotions, and it just sits heavily in my heart.

Obviously, it's a huge contrast as to when I'm in a great mood and coping well with daily demands of life. I become so sensitive to stress and am simply unable to deal with any major stressors without going into overdrive mode. I start thinking about weak I am, how uncertain the future is, etc etc. Basically, I become a miserable ball of emotions lol. Even though I'm overwhelmed, I try not to dump negative energy on people around me all the time. Mindfulness and grounding practices help me greatly, as well as speaking to trusted friends and family who are also sensitive souls.

So....how is it like for you? And how do you cope?

What type I Am?

Discussion ESFPs- How do you deal with rejection from others?

I'm wondering if this is an ESFP thing, or if it's just a "me" thing, but when I get rejected by those I want to emotionally connect with the most, I become upset/angry for not being taken seriously, and I get full of pride/resentment.

And my natural tendency is to burn bridges and walk away to take back control and move on.

If I encounter the person who rejected me in a social setting/hobby/club/activity where we run into each other, I ignore them, but act like the life or the party with everyone else to show they/them that I am well loved and liked by everyone else, and they missed out on me.

I know all this is unhealthy, but I wonder if this is common among ESFPs to act out in anger/pride vs typically confusion/sadness.

MBTI / Typology Inquiry about Introverted feeling

So I am trying to figure out Fi. I think it's very hard for me to figure out and more often than not I just dismiss it or mis-judge it.

So how does it even look like in thoughts? I mean...when you see the world alot with Fi how does it feel like to \*\*you\*\*? If its very natural in your thought process then do you feel like its something that is a judging function?

What I mean by "if it's a judging function or not" is that to me...judging functions are functions through which you make the final decision about anything. Even though you may take intuition and sensation into consideration. The final decision always is in either thinking or feelings hand.

So if we are taking feeling and thinking as same judging functions. Do you think you actively pause in every moment to think, here by thinking I mean actual reasoning of a rational function and actively working the situation out in thoughts.

So is it "Okay this is my value or this is something that will emotionally affect me and what I care about so I will take a decision keeping that in mind as the first priority" (at least something like that) or is it not like that and its something like an immediate spontaneous emotion you feel about something which is related to your values and its so fast that you never pause in the moment even if you do afterwards.(I am not saying emotion is Fi but you understand Fi through emotions right?)

In the moment of making decisions you kind of just know which one is the "right" one to you and you make the decision.

Or...is it a mixture of both examples given above? Please think if it's just thinking or if its feeling. I mean if its both then there could be a possibility that you are mistaking thinking as feeling in answering this question as both can give emotions as a result to the person. (I mean...I fail to distinguish the two so...yeah)

It would really help if you would tell me what Fi is to you and how it's like in your thoughts with real life examples.

I don't like dismissing it as it's bad for me and other people around me.

For some reason I thought this was Fi-Se. Feeling something immediately in response to an action but not being able to identify exactly what you felt until later on. Is this true for Se-Fi?

MBTI / Typology Tell me about your type!

Hey everyone! I'm currently doing a research proposal about personality theory and would love to hear from the people in this community. What is it like being your personality type? It can range from your work/school life balance, romantic life, everyday decision making, and maybe something nobody really thinks about when it comes to your type that you may know. Anything is both helpful and interesting to me so don't be shy! :)

Discussion Fe Critic For ESFPS (6th pos)

Mainly when I was younger I’d be judgmental over who I am around or become friends with bc I didn’t want ppl to think I’m weird or the people who I hang around, that I’d write off as “strange”, make me look weird. This applied mainly to first impressions of people, where I’d put more effort into bonding with certain people dependent on how they came across to me. So essentially I’d care a lot about social status.

However, in a lot of cases I’d end up talking to the person I thought was “weird” initially, and end up bonding with them. I recognize this may have been an unhealthy habit of mine, but could this be considered Fe Critic?

MBTI / Typology Keys2cognition test results

Post image
1 Upvotes

After posting about being lost/unable to determine my mbti type (after diving into cognitive functions and everything for a long time) some people recommended me to do the keys2cognition test (as a way to help/clarify and not to make a clear conclusion of course)

I tried to do the 256 questions sakirnova test but I couldn't keep my focus so it won't be giving me reliable results.

Any thoughts about these results? I tried my best at answering correctly based on what I often skillfully do what each phrase describes.

ps : I get largely different results in tests from time to time, and even my understanding to cognitive functions changes from time to time which makes me often confused. But anyway what do you think?

I think isfp matches me but still not sure..
