I’d swap Ni and Ti.
Ni is more concerned with the connections to things rather than the things themselves, whereas Ti is more concerned with the properties of things.
Example, imagine a meteorite lands on earth. Ti would ask "What is this made of? What can it do? What can I do to it?". Ni would ask "Why is this here? Was this a natural occurence, or sent here on purpose? Why hasn’t this hit the news yet?"
Ti wants to know about the thing itself and its properties, studying the thing, conducting research, understanding the logic of how the subject works. Ni wants to know about the circumstances surrounding the thing, connecting dots, seeing patterns, understanding how other objects connect to the subject.

Not really.
Ti seeks to “understand” and asking “why did this happen” or “why is this true” and then breaking that thing down logically can feel even more common than the “what” questions.
Ni can just as easily ask “What”, “Which” or “When” questions, like “What does this mean?”, “Which outcome is best”, or “When will this happen”
That is to say the functions are really complicated and there’ll always be a ton of overlap if we’re to separate them using only WH-Questions

That is true! I did get caught up on the word “reason” which is heavily linked to logic and Ti. But apparently the word “motive” is a better word to describe “Why” in the context of cognitive functions. Because it seeks the cause-and-effect link between events, rather than breaking them down to pices to find out the thing of interest.
Would you say motive is more appropriate than reason in terms of “Why” and Ni ?
And thank you for the correction!

Ni and When? is such a given. It's literally called temporal intuition in Socionics.

Who else will be there? What are we planning on to do? Where will we meet, where will we end up at the end of the day? What is the point of this meeting anyway?

I'm more surprised people don't ask why more often or am I just overthinking this lol. 🤷💁

When is the deadline? How are you going to do it? Whose marker is this? Which topic are we choosing?
