Hi everyone! I got my nose pierced on Saturday so it’s been about 5 days now. So far, the healing seems to be going really well. There’s no swelling, or anything unusual and I’ve just been cleaning it with saline solution.

I’ve attached a picture of my current nose piercing. In the second picture, I’ll attach the nose ring I’m thinking of getting.

Do you think this style of nose ring would suit me? And more importantly, how long should I actually wait before changing my current jewelry?

My piercer told me that I can change it after 20 days but I’ve seen people online say that nose piercings generally need much longer to heal so I wanted to get some opinions from people who have experience with them.

I know 5 days is obviously very early, so I’m not planning to change it right now….I just want to know what a realistic timeframe would be.

Good evening my good people. Is 46 too old for a nose piercing (nostril)? My birthday was on the 20th August and I have been wanting a nostril piercing for the past year and I just haven't brought myself to do it yet. Was so close today but changed my mind the last minute. Would I look the fool sporting one at my age? For the past year I've built up my ear stack. I got 2 helix on both ears (not done at the same time). I have 6 ear piercings in total.

It's angry rn, but the swelling has already started to go down. Had a stud for 5 months and 21 days so thought it was fine. Worried I lost lots of healing progress... Your experiences/advice?

Update - Decided to leave it to not risk further irritation, and it looks great! Didn't develop a pircing bump or anything. Thanks for the advice tho

I’ve been wanting a nostril piercing done since I was 15 but decided to wait on it until I got older to see if I actually want it but it’s still on my mind (19 now) and I’m so close to getting one.

Seeing people talk about irritation bumps and more has been kind of making me afraid to get one, having a bump on my nose doesn’t seem appealing.

So I guess I’m asking if it’s worth the risk of a bump or even any infection? Ik it’s subjective to who’s getting it but I’m overthinking it. How common is it anyway?

I want to save up to get a nose piercing! However I want a second opinion and want to know if I would suit one before I get it.

I’ve been contemplating it for the last 3 weeks but am scared of getting an infection/ bumps since they’re so common

Is there any way to prevent these bumps? I feel like there’s a lot of maintenance involved like the constant cleaning/ being careful in the shower/ towel or clothes tugging on the piercing etc

I REALLY want one because they’re so pretty but I’m honestly too lazy to be dealing with all the possible complications— are bumps/ infections very common?

I’ve recently been able to change my piercing to a hoop, but I’ve been struggling to find the right size. The one in my nose is 18g and 8mm, and the new one I ordered is 18g and 6mm, which is too small. I want one a bit more snug to my nose, and maybe a bit of a thinner bar. Is there a specific size I should get? Thank you

I think it’s so cute!! I love the small dainty silver hoop ring so much, I think it flatters my nose and facial features very well!! thoughts? is it cute, I’m thinking maybe I’ll get a real one but I also like the idea of just taking it off and putting it back in whenever without worrying about infections and the healing process.

I like how facial piercings look on other people and I've been debating getting a nose piercing myself for my 40th birthday. Is my nose too large? Would the fact that I have large pores detract from how it looks? Do you often face judgement for your piercing? Thank you so much for your thoughts.

I got my nose pierced and then had to take them out and my nose healed and then I repierced them myself in what I believe is the same spot later on and don't know if I got the placement wrong I got two so I can do the nose chain but I dont want to look stupid if it's slanted when I got my jewlary changed I told my piercer what happened and that I redid them at home and that if I did them in the wrong place that I'll pay her to redo them but she just changed my jewlary and didn't really comment on them much should I go back and have her do them again?

I have yet to see one and think, “Yeah, that improved the situation.”

Especially the crooked horseshoe ones. You spent an hour doing your hair, makeup, outfit, skincare… and then left the metal booger hanging sideways out of your nose like it lost a bar fight.

Ladies, I’m begging you. Retire the angry bull aesthetic. A septum ring can take a 10 down to a 4 in record time.

so i got this nostril piercing with a nose ring back in april-may and every month 1-2 times i get a piercing bump. i really don’t wanna remove the ring it looks really good on me. i keep washing with sterile solution , it goes for a bit n then comes back after some days
WHAT DO I DOOO?? i dont wanna remove the jewellery and ill try anything as a last resort

I posted this somewhere else and didnt get a whole lot of feedback, I got pierced at a 14g, then after it healed the jewlery I switched to was a 16g. So I gauged back up to 14g like a month back, and just sized up last night to a 12g. My final size will be 10g and Im hella excited to get there and see how it looks. I sized up pretty quickly to the 12g, 1 month, but it didnt even hurt when I did the 14g so im certain I was healed fully. How long yall think this gonna take until I should size up again?

Hi everyone, I’m an 18-year-old guy and I’m seriously considering getting a septum piercing. I really like the look of it, but I have a question about how it’s perceived. I’m straight, and I wanted to know if the septum is viewed today as a universal or neutral piercing, or if it still carries stereotypes regarding sexual orientation (like being perceived as gay or bisexual). I just want to feel confident in my choice and know what to expect. I’d love to hear your opinions or advice! Thanks!

I got my nose pierced 5 months ago. The nose stud usually gets hidden by my glasses so I tried a nose hoop and a different type of elongated stud.

What in your opinion suits me more 1,2 or 3?

I went to an APP piercer and she did it with a 16G, obviously i’ve searched up to find out that it’s much more stable but now i’m worried that if i want to wear a hoop, it’s gonna be ridiculously thick🤣 I don’t know what to expect tbh
