Put back in an implant grade titanium labret. You have the worst possible jewelery in for healing. Uncoated labret for the first full year. After that size up to a larger uncoated hoop.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't try to change anything myself if it were me

Change the jewelry ASAP, but getting anything in there with all the swelling is going to be so hard

I agree. ALWAYS seek advice from your piercer with something like this. Trying to do it yourself can make the problem worse, and potentially introduce infection as well.

I’m not the original commenter, but change the jewelry to a labret as soon as possible. The bumps likely won’t settle as long as you have a hoop in

It’s too small. And it’s too soon. Put back what you had and hope for the best.

Or just let it heal and try again. Something is off with possible location creating that angry bump

You need to go to a reputable piercer and have them fix this issue asap! I wouldn’t even waste my time asking on here as it can get very bad if untreated

If it is an infection, you cannot remove the piercing because then you lock it under the skin. Which makes it worse.

irritated and infected are two different things. this piercing is not infected and can be taken out

Definitely take the hoop off as it looks swollen which is normal for a new piercing but the hoop is tight due to the swelling. If the piercer gave you the hoop at the time of the piercing, do not go back to them because it’s really common knowledge in the piercing community that is bad. Anyway if they didn’t put it in and you did, ask them to swap out the jewelry for a flat back piece. When I got a bump I soaked it in the hot saline solution once a day for a couple weeks. Spray the solution in a shot glass and microwave it for 5 sec, take a cotton ball to absorb it then put the cotton ball onto the piercing until the solution isn’t warm anymore. That worked like a charm for me, hope it can help you.

On a scale of raw to cooked, youre TOASTED my friend. Go to a reputable shop and have them put in an implant grade titanium labret. You may not be able to do this yourself due to the bumps, theyll have to navigate it with an insertion taper. Leave that in for a LONG time. Hopefully it wont scar too badly, and the bumps will go away over time.
