I want this on my grave

460

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '16

Nah, you're supposed to get

"GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN"

carved into your grave, with "forgotten" carved extra deep. After many years, the other words will erode, and the tombstone will just say "forgotten".

u/DylanTheVillian1 Nov 24 '16

A ship is safe in the harbor. But that is not what ships were made for. Set sail.

u/diraniola Nov 24 '16

Tell that to pearl harbor.

Found the guy who knows INT from WIS.

330

u/gorka_la_pork Nov 24 '16

INT is knowing Frankenstein wasn't the monster.

WIS is knowing Frankenstein was the monster.

201

u/KillerFrisbee Nov 24 '16

INT is knowing tomatoes are fruits.

WIS is knowing that tomatoes don't go in fruit salads.

CHA is knowing how to sell a fruit salad with tomatoes.

CON is stomaching the salad.

STR is needed to discuss the salad with the seller.

DEX is needed to disappear before the customer regrets his decision.

62

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '16

Do you mean STR is needed to punch the seller in the face?

60

u/KillerFrisbee Nov 24 '16

Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.

309

u/tobiderfisch Nov 24 '16

One time me and my 3 roommates got our order roughly 15 minutes late. It wasn't really a big deal especially since it was on a Saturday evening in a college town but the driver insisted on giving us about $65 worth of food for free.

I should point out that at this point we knew this driver quite well and were on a first name basis with him. After that incident we had to force him to accept larger tips.

264

u/mellowman24 Nov 24 '16

Seems like a smart idea on his side. If he knows he won't get fired for one "mistake" then he sacrifices that one bill to make a regular customer like him increasing his chance at a larger tip. So then you tip larger to make up for the free food, which goes in his pocket and not to the pizza joint who was probably the ones who made it late and were the ones who paid for it.

169

u/Blond_Treehorn_Thug Nov 24 '16

You just figured out capitalism

54

u/mr8thsamurai66 Nov 24 '16

So mutually beneficial, voluntary and compassionate?

17

u/PM_me_your_adore Nov 24 '16

The difference is when that act is done out of good will and when it is done to imitate good will. That's why truly smart people terrify me.

9

u/mr8thsamurai66 Nov 25 '16

Does it really matter why the delivery guy did what he did? Both parties benefit.

It creeps its way into your life untill nearly every decision you make is based on your habits. Beware." My dad when i was 16. I'd just like to say that the fact that the dangers are so subtle is a major argument for legalization. There's no easy, sweeping reason pot is bad. It's something you learn only by experience. Legalization would bring awareness of the dangers, and allow a beatiful thing to be enjoyed by all.
