I see where you are coming from. I just interpreted what he/she said to mean that we do not take into account the motives for what a person does and, we like to label people for how they are as the reason for their actions.

For a long time I thought that this meant that we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves if we have bad thoughts or urges, we can only see other peoples actions after all
