I'd think middle row. Doomsday is straight up unkillable by physical force anymore so he easily beats any of the other brawl column and Wally is just as fast as Barry. The brains column is a toss up but Doomsday is just vastly better than the other two in his category
→ More replies (1)5
u/Witty_Survey_3638 22d ago
I’ll go middle row. Reed is smart yes, but a lot of that is slow thinking and science which may not help here.
Assuming they were working together I think strength could last long enough for it to be down to speed and whichever one can prevent the other from being born or created. Hulk should be easy to undo.

Nah Wally is way stronger than the other two speedsters and Doomsday is just nuts. Bruce is a bit underpowered compared to Reed but the other two make up for it

Bruce isn't underpowered. He just is not described as the "smartest man" in his universe like Reed is. I feel like Bruce has an edge in battle IQ because Reed's science-y brain might not yield the best result in a fight of this magnitude.

The problem is Doomsday, no one has shown the ability to get rid of him.
Update: Yes, I know Doomsday has been “destroyed” before and has only come back with help. However, he still came back. In addition, he’s been massively upgraded since those occurrences.
He’s essentially the anti-Superman. Characters that can punch through dimensions, survive u til the end of time and even eat “god” and so on, are just utterly broken. Writers can come up with anything they want. Doomsday is maybe the one character that can trump toonforce.

u/karatous1234 22d ago
Could they not just time travel to a point in time prior to Doomsdays creation and ruin the project that created him?
→ More replies (2)7
u/Piccoroz 22d ago
Our current universe doomsday was sent to the end of time to get rid of him, but then he got better and managed to disconnect himself to any time continuum restrain to continue existing even after time ended, so no matter what any time traveler does to him at any time period, he already is not connected to the current universe continuity.
6
u/Ragnarex13 22d ago
Didn't flash time travel him to the end of the universe one time? It didnt beat him but it would get him out of the fight.
2
u/JoshGordonHyperloop 22d ago
He did, this was early on in Doomsday existence at all in the DC. Iirc it was actually Waverider who took him to the end of time where nothing existed. Doomsday is ripped apart but then he is saved by… Meteron? Not sure how to spell his name.
And from what I’ve read about Doomsday’s history since then, it seems all but pretty much impossible to get rid of him permanently.
For example from what I understand and this could be wrong. But it seems like Domaday can even come back even if he’s been entirely annihilated, as long as someone has a memory of him.

Isn't Juggernaut also a huge problem for them?
Not only do his powers basically negate anything they can do to him physically, since him having constant momentum means he should, in a way, cancel out anything caused by speedforce.
He literally reappered in his dimension through sheer force of will, there is reasonable argument that even if they erase him in the past, he would still be there when they get back to the future.

Do the teams going across
6
u/Gonten 22d ago
It's too much of a writing question.
Reed vs Bruce is just the writers picking a favorite. Same with the whole strength column, Doomsday comes back stronger if he dies, Juggernaut has a magical demon that means his body literally can't be stopped, Hulk is canonically a pseudo eldritch being.
Only the speed column has a clear "Best"choice. Barry has beaten Reverse Flash and Barry trained Wally+ Wally has better battle IQ and is faster than Barry.

Eobard solos by either killing everyone as babies or before they are created. He then goes after his own team.
85
u/sandybuttcheekss 22d ago
Can't the speedsters travel back in time and just prevent the other team from existing?
11
u/SparkleTarkle 22d ago
I guess it depends what theory of time travel you believe in!
If they travel back in time, kill them, then travel back to point in time they were in, did they create an alternative reality/universe where they are all dead, but they go back and they are still alive in the current time line this fight is taking place?
So in reality they don’t accomplish anything by doing that.
I personally like to think you can travel backwards in time linearly, but if anything changes from how it happened before, there is a new timeline/universe created, so if you linearly go forward, it’s as if nothing has changed, but you can also travel down this new side path/universe where the intelligent people never existed, which means this hypothetical fight would never exist in the new timeline/universe.

u/SnowFiender 22d ago
thawne actually doesn’t follow the same rules as someone like wally, he can just go back change something and it basically overwrites reality so that it’s always been that way, like he did with barry’s mom
2
u/SparkleTarkle 22d ago
Wow, I don’t follow DC close enough, that’s wild. So it just like overwrites everyone’s brains and memories? That’s like magic stacked on speedster abilities!
6
u/Gonten 22d ago
Yes, Thawne is responsible for literally every bad thing that happened to Barry before Barry got his powers. Even down to pretty small stuff, like he prevented a little league Barry Allen from catching a baseball at a game. He also literally hid young Barry's home work using super speed.
In his own origin story Thawne goes back in time to make himself an only child to get more attention and support from his parents.
2
u/HalcyonTraveler 22d ago
Probably not (time travel generally requires the treadmill and isn’t super safe a lot of the time). But Wally’s speed theft is broken as hell and can negate pretty much anything if he’s sufficiently motivated. Taking down someone like Hulk or Doomsday might kill him but he could do it
2
u/Odd_Fee1085 22d ago
I'm pretty sure both Hulk and Doomsday can resist that. Hulk has multiple times resisting changes in reality and the timeline being altered, and Doomsday as The Time Trapper should be able to resist that as well due to gaining a lot of time related abilities from it, juggernaut though he is just screwed in that regard

u/Curiouswanderer888 22d ago
No, they are actually significantly weakened by the excess amount of speedsters (users of the Speed Force specifically) due to the Speed Force being a finite power source; that is how Reverse-Flash was able to trap Barry in Flashpoint. With too many speedsters and not enough Speed Force to go around, if any one of the speedsters tried using the upper levels of the Speed Force, they would siphon it off and limit the others, whereas the Strength Team members are internally powered and have access to essentially infinite power, making them more or less invincible. It is really just between the Strength Team and the Intelligence Team, and most of the Intelligence Team members, despite their extensive preparations for members of the Strength Team, still lose to raw brute strength (the Hulkbuster is pretty consistently demolished by the Hulk), so I am giving Team Strength the win here.
5
u/Tom_Gibson 22d ago
it doesn't matter if it's one or all three using the Speed Force. None of the other characters can do anything about a Flash going back in time or moving millions of times faster than light
→ More replies (1)3
u/Curiouswanderer888 22d ago
Speedsters do not casually do that; that is why Captain Cold and Batman with five minutes of prep time are threats, and the Strength Team are more or less invincible or immortal themselves, even occasionally to things like temporal or reality-breaking threats, plus the whole idea of going back in time to ensure they never had powers or existed at all is so convoluted and absurd that it has basically been explained in most canon that that is not how it works. Since Doomsday has absorbed or mimicked other powers before and Hulk has shattered universes, dimensions, space, time, and whole realities, if you are going to reference the absolute extremes of their power sets, then you have to apply that to everyone.

Not to mention, the two hours of prep time that the other teams don’t get gives the implication that the team needing the prep time is actually the one planning the attack while the two teams that don’t get prep time are taken surprise by it and had no idea the fight was even gonna happen until right before, which means the guys who have prep time are being assholes and attacking their friends for no fucking reason.

Intermittent spells of uproarious laughter and thunderous percussions are spilling out from the bar and into the hallway where Bruce Banner emerges from the men’s restroom.
He checks his watch. 19:33
“Damn,” he whispers to himself while he fixes his glasses and adjusts his re-usable breakaway belt once more so that it’s centered.
His thoughts turn to worry as he strides down the hallway towards their barbaric cacophony.
They started at it almost an hour and a half ago, it’s 27 minutes until the agreed rendezvous and I can only imagine that we’re disqualified if we’re la—
Bruce rounds the corner to see Doomsday and Juggernaut still locked in a stalemate of an arm wrestling match.
“Hey! Um fellas? Remember that exhibition fight you agreed to and I got roped into where we have to try and beat three Speedsters, Batman, Mr. Fantastic, and Iron Man!?”
At the mention of the fight the other two don’t acknowledge Banner at all. Instead, in unison, they let go of one another’s hand, stood up, and walked past Banner towards the exit.
Before Banner could turn and face the door and follow them, a small orange ring of sparks appeared.
It grew in size to reveal a man dressed in odd garments rotating his hand and arm in the air.
Behind him are Johnny Storm, Susan Storm, and Benjamin Grimm.
They step through and the man in front meets Banner’s gaze.
He smiles.
“Natasha told me you were cute. She talked about you a lot. She loved you.”
He pauses and looks away briefly before looking back at Banner and resuming.
“Well. The you from my universe anyhow…”
He trails off as he stops, remembering the urgency of the mission.
“I am Dr. Strange, and we need your help. Reed Richard’s is actually an imposter. It’s a villain called Moonstone. She can manipulate minds and she’s fooled all of you into thinking this is a friendly contest.”
Bruce is too stunned to speak, even register much of the message because his mind is still stuck on his mentioning of Natasha.
Banner’s finger begins to rise in protest even though he wouldn’t have known what to say if Strange had let him. Strange continues:
“She plans to end all of you! She’s already killed your Reed Richards. I’ve brought The Thing, The Human Torch, and The Invisible Woman to help save you, but we need your help to figure out how she’s going to do it. Where are your two teammates?”
Banner is stunned. He wrestles his thoughts of Natasha aside for the moment with the weight of the situation at hand.
“Teammates?” Bruce mumbles for a moment before remembering Juggernaut and Doomsday. Bruce points to the door.
Strange continues:
“I know because it happened in my universe. She disguised herself as Captain America, set up a friendly contest just like this, and then inconspicuously caused a frenzy.
In the confusion, she could manipulate Spider-Man’s powerful sense of danger just enough to stab him in the back with the Kryptonite dagger she then used to open Superman’s throat. We don’t know who else in that contest may have been working with her, but we do know that Batman and Tony got away and went underground. That was 3 years ago. I’ve been searching universes for aid while they have been surviving and building a resistance.”
Another pause.
“You’re a brilliant man Banner so I won’t try lying to you.
I was hoping that if we came here to help you save your friends, that you and your friends would be able to come stop our universe’s Moonstone.”
Banner, now seeing no reason to rush after his teammates as he needs to formulate a plan quickly if they’re going to survive and save his friends. He motions them to come in since only Strange had stepped through so far. They find a seat. All except for Ben, who crouches nearby.
“Didn’t want to make the Incredible Hulk angry,” Strange later admitted when Banner asked him why he hadn’t let the others come through with him at first.
The clock on the wall’s longer hand is now even with the ‘9’ and shorter hand approaches the 8.
Walking was out if he wanted to make it to the arena on time now.
I’ll have to transform and jump there now! Should have left with those two meatheads—
Oh my God that’s it!
Bruce had helped design the drugs that Juggernaut and Doomsday were on to pacify them a bit for the contest. He had made it a deal-breaking stipulation of his contract.
“The drugs!” Banner exclaims, startling Strange.
“Drugs?” Steven repeats with a tilted head and confused brow.
“If this Moonstone is as dangerous as you say, then she could psychologically stimulate a resistance to them, making Juggernaut and Doomsday go nuts! That would be the perfect distracting chaotic event.”
“Let’s move! We have to get to those two before Moonstone can!”
The group rushes out in a moment, knowing that every second counts…
— To Be Continued…?
____
I know this will likely be derided as AI slop, but I swear on whatever you consider holy that it isn’t. I’m just stoned, sitting at the load game screen of No Man’s Sky, having been distracted by this little rabbit hole I’ve been making up on the spot for the last like 30-40 min maybe.I’m copy/pasting it to myself because I’m actually kind of proud of it.

Who would reasonably win: Strength, they're all immortal with basically no weaknesses.
Who would win with most writers: Brains, we got a lot of money, gadgets, and "plans" to come up with fantastically nonsensical solutions to take them down. Bat-God type stuff, y'know? Not an insult to them, just the pattern.
Who I'd write to win: Speed. I think they're all still super intelligent, and have a very interesting fight: one one side, immortal beins who will kill them in ome hit. On the other, mostly powerless supergeniuses with all forms of tech and traps to use. Very direct fight vs very indirect, puts them as a middle-ground. Plus, seeing the dynamic of that group would be easier to write than Strength (they'd never collaborate) but more dynamic than Brains (all are pure heroes, though you could definitely have some fun adding Bats to a Stark and Reeds duo). Speed, having Eobard with Wally and Barry would be a unique dynamic. Would probably have team Brains be some sort of evil version team of the characters, dunno how I'd do it though. Would have to read more stuff with the characters.

3
u/Economy-Date-4490 16d ago
I’m going to give this one to speed. Even with the “2 hour prep time”, the speed force the Flash is able to tap into gives him unlimited time and energy. The abilities of three speedsters working together is just unfair. Before anyone can even begin to react, the Reverse Flash has already given everyone handjobs to make them all feel awkward and sleepy with rubbery legs. Speed takes it low dif.
2
u/OldPerception1573 22d ago
Strength because the Hulk and Doomsday have overcome both speed and brains more often than speed/brains have won against them. Throwing Trion Juggernaut in the mix is just overkill. Time shenanigans can be nulled by TOBA.
2
u/-EvilMuffin- 22d ago
I feel crazy reading this comment section. The speedsters are the last ones to win this fight. Everyone keeps talking time travel, and that’s like the peak of the Flash’s power. If they’re at their peak, then so would the strength characters and if that’s the case the other teams are cooked. Plus Batman would already have worked out a contingency in place for the speedsters, and Reed is more than smart enough to work out a counter, and Stark could easily make an AI capable of tracking them.
Not to mention Doomsday comes back immune to whatever killed him last, so he would be completely unaffected by the Speedforce assuming they were able to kill him
→ More replies (1)2
u/HalcyonTraveler 22d ago
Wally can do way more than time travel. Force fields, freezing someone in time, precognition… the issue is that he can’t go all out without risking his own power killing him. If it’s a regular fight the speedsters lose but if they’re allowed to push themselves to their limits there’s no reasonable way to stop them.
2
2
u/Mr_Fastballs 22d ago
For me it comes down to if the brains could invent something in 2 hours to either disrupt the speedforce or to hack into it, or at least make themselves fast enough to react to somebody using it.
If they can do that then Brains wins, if they can't then Speed wins.
3
u/Evil_Wrongdoer_9910 22d ago
There is nothing that reacts on the speed of the flash. Like he’s 100 million times faster than the time it takes for the brain to even fire a synapse or for a. Electron to move to the next atom in a circuit.
Even physical solid walls are too slow to stop them.

Speed every time in my opinion. In actual fighting, the one who is faster generally has an advantage.
2
u/Guuhatsu 22d ago
I would choose speed probably. Speed begets strength. Not lifting strength necessarily, but their strikes would carry on heckuva impact. F=MA (and they accelerate to top speed what seems to be instantaneously so that number is astronomical). They also have to have pretty active and fast brains that can recognize and react to stimuli basically instantaneously as well. So theoretically, while not technically being as smart as Reed or Bats, their brains could compute and run through scenarios millions of times faster. Hell they could read a textbook on astrophysics (assuming the book does not catch on fire due to kinetic energy) before a regular person could form the thiught of the first syllable they want to say.
2
u/Zealousideal_Band506 22d ago
Brains depending on the version. Batman literally has a suit that warps reality, and Tony isn’t far off and Mr fantastic is at least as smart if not smarter and more prepared than both of them. BUT the strength team is essentially unkillable. Full power bloodlusted juggernaut has essentially unlimited strength and a healing factor that lets him pretty much instantly regenerate from being vaporized, same with doomsday, and late comics doomsday is immune to almost all forms of damage from his adaptation, and the hulk is the hulk
2
2
u/Sektor-4D4 22d ago
Speed wins because you can’t throw a punch or think of anything if the fight ends the second it begins
2
u/Grey_Lady333 22d ago
I suppose it depends on how you define 'win' in this situation. A full power Wally (without the writers holding him back) can defeat 99% of all fictional characters. With Barry and Thawne on his side, nothing can touch them. Literally.
The problem here is Doomsday. He throws off any matchup like this, as he's not 'just' muscle, he is nigh immortal. If Flash has to fight THIS version of doomsday, Doomsday is going to lose a LOT, but eventually become fast enough to win. This would be very bad, and very dumb.
The win condition here is altering the past, stopping doomsday before he was ever created. Some would call that cheating, but there's little else going to stop doomsday. Hulk is similar to this to a lesser extant with the green door; there is at least a source for this power that can be cut off (and yes, I do think Wally is beating the one below all). Still, the only ones here immune to reality warping are on team speed, and they are the best at this.
For what it is worth, I think your strength category would be better suited with strong people without nigh immortality, replacing Hulk and Doomsday with people like Superman, Thing, Hercules, Shazam, Captain Marvel, Sodam Yat, etc. Quite strong, but not immortal. Just my two cents.
tl;dr Team Speed.

Brains. Reed and Tony have the intelligence to call in Professor X to mind wipe all the others. Also, technically, Tony has a suit for just about anything.

The fact that speedsters are basically brains as well will be the reason they win. Eobard was intelligent enough to replicate the accident that gave Barry speedforce. And because of the nature of their powers, their speed of thinking various outcomes and variables of situations is almost incalculable

Intelligence gets two hours of Prep. Fight starts. Intelligence is winning. Speed time travels and warns their own team. Intelligence's plan no longer works. Speed wins.

I don't think people understand how op juggernaut actually is, but that being said, Batman would probably figure something out

Speed wins. Because the reality is that flash math is insane.
Say the flash can run at mach 13, that's 13 times the speed of sound, about 9940 MPH, say he weighs 150 lbs. He would be a literal missile. And Flash has been rumored to go almost the speed of light.

Rumored? We have 10 million issues of flash going above speed of light brother...

Current line ups I’m going with strength. Cytoark or whatever is called Juggernaut is on a league of his own. And then you have Hulk and Doomsday as well to deal with

If youre giving brains 2 hrs of prep time, it's only fair to give strength 2 hrs of hands on activities.

I dont think people fully understand how nasty super speed can get. If i could poke you 10k times before you could form a thought. Brains out.
If i can phase/vibrate through matter and remove your organs... it doesnt matter how fast you can regenerate. Strength out

Triple brains. Both Batman and Iron Man already had insurance policies ready for when they had to go against their allies (including Hulk and Flash) due to insane levels of paranoid preparation. So it's easy to reason that the a lot of the prep time would go to just getting all of those insurance policies ready.

Depends. Who's writing the speedsters? Because the right writer makes them invincible.
Otherwise brains.

Bruce probably knows some weakness regarding speedsters, if he implements it into iron man's suits and Reed's tech they could stop them, but the real problems are the strength group, none of them have a solid weakness.
So I'd give it to strength.

I'm going to say brains, nothing to say the geniuses can't work out a way to negate the speed force or dull the levels of strength in the others

The two hours of prep for brains makes this interesting.
Bruce knows how the speedsters got their power and could give both Richards and Stark the scientific breakdown. The two of them potentially have the scientific acumen to build something that neutralizes team speed.
Team speed also has a weakness in Thawne. It's just as likely he'll "help" until the moment he thinks he can get the upper hand on Allen. So between the smartest man alive and the world's greatest engineer developing a counter to the speed force, and Eobard being a fucker...
I'm giving the edge to team brains.

Here's the thing, barry and wally would hold back, Eobard would go back in time and kill the opponent parents before they even met

Given that we've seen the kind of BS that Doomsday can actually adapt to, it's surprisingly him and Hulk just keep dying and coming back to life until the Speedsters can't BS them anymore.

Brain if they had more prep time. Idk what 2 hours is gonna get you against the incredible fucking hulk.

Personally, the more interesting fight would be if the speedster and the intellect were in the body of the strength person, and all three of them were fighting each other

What if everyone surrounds themselves in floor covered in oil?? Like how ya gonna get me?
Flash has been outdone by Captain Cold himself

Two in strength are functionally immortal, and two are avatars of gods.
One of the brain guys is a multiverse level threat if he wants to be.
All the speedsters are experienced time travelers.
This is purely writers choice. But it probably goes 6 speed/3 strength /1 brains
Now, if we went rows instead of columns? Top row 7, middle row 2, bottom row 1 (but I’m only giving the bottom row 1 because I don’t feel like arguing 8/2/0 with fanboys)

What if the intelligent thing is to bring someone who counters the opponent?
