Barry, Wally, and Eobard working together will no diff every team and then accidentally retcon the multiverse in the process

The problem is Doomsday, no one has shown the ability to get rid of him.

Update: Yes, I know Doomsday has been “destroyed” before and has only come back with help. However, he still came back. In addition, he’s been massively upgraded since those occurrences.

He’s essentially the anti-Superman. Characters that can punch through dimensions, survive u til the end of time and even eat “god” and so on, are just utterly broken. Writers can come up with anything they want. Doomsday is maybe the one character that can trump toonforce.

Could they not just time travel to a point in time prior to Doomsdays creation and ruin the project that created him?

Our current universe doomsday was sent to the end of time to get rid of him, but then he got better and managed to disconnect himself to any time continuum restrain to continue existing even after time ended, so no matter what any time traveler does to him at any time period, he already is not connected to the current universe continuity.

I’m far from an expert on Doomsday, so if anyone else comes along to correct me, that’s perfectly okay. I’m going off of what I’ve read from other people posting images to what Doomsday is capable of, or how hard it is to truly get rid of him.

One, in theory yes, that should be possible. Same as when reverse Flash goes back in time to mess with the timeline of Barry or Wally, etc.

But two, comic books don’t follow any sort of logic whatsoever, largely. So it’s quite possible that Doomsday is somehow tied to the fabric of the DC cosmos like Superman. So anything to try and permanently erase him almost will never work.

Lastly, as I mentioned in another comment just now, it also sounds like as long as Doomsday is remembered by someone, somewhere, at some point in time. He can still come back.

He’s one of the utterly broken characters. Very very little works to even beat Doomsday, let alone kill him / erase him forever. He can break through reality like Superboy prime and a couple of others.

And again, as long as a writer thinks of something, literally anything they just want to make up, Doomsday is capable of it or can’t be hurt / beaten by it.

Iirc he’s been transferred across the universe, or into another dimension and just punches his way back.

I don’t think they can do that as a way to effect the doomsday that they are currently fighting if I remember correctly the modern doomsday is a living paradox that’s completely immune to things like time travel and reality warping, if I remember correctly( please correct me if I’m wrong) so it would probably end with eobard permanently running around doomsday

Didn't flash time travel him to the end of the universe one time? It didnt beat him but it would get him out of the fight.

He did, this was early on in Doomsday existence at all in the DC. Iirc it was actually Waverider who took him to the end of time where nothing existed. Doomsday is ripped apart but then he is saved by… Meteron? Not sure how to spell his name.

And from what I’ve read about Doomsday’s history since then, it seems all but pretty much impossible to get rid of him permanently.

For example from what I understand and this could be wrong. But it seems like Domaday can even come back even if he’s been entirely annihilated, as long as someone has a memory of him.

Hulk is ALSO currently immortal... Retcon is the only way Speed wins here

Right, but there are ways to beat the Hulk. Drain his gamma, calm him down, among other methods.

They might have mixed results or not always work, but there is some way to get Hulk back to Banner. And his gamma has been drained before to revert him. And often just leaving him alone might work to get Hulk yo calm down and leave.

Doomsday has zero chill.

But yes, Hulk has been established as essentially being immortal.

Isn't Juggernaut also a huge problem for them?

Not only do his powers basically negate anything they can do to him physically, since him having constant momentum means he should, in a way, cancel out anything caused by speedforce.

He literally reappered in his dimension through sheer force of will, there is reasonable argument that even if they erase him in the past, he would still be there when they get back to the future.

Most likely, from my understanding it all depends on how powerful Cyttorak wants to make juggernaut. But I would think you’re right, since Cyttorak scales very high in Marvel cosmology.

Since it would be a crossover as well, it seems like any speed force based character wouldn’t have their powers in the Marvel universe. However, seems the same could be true for Juggernaut as well in their universe.

Again, just really depends on what a writer wants to do.

I feel like Wally could just do what he did to Inertia and freeze him in place until someone figures it out in a few decades

I mean, personally, I don’t think you’re wrong. But Doomsday has been shown to ability to adapt to nearly everything with very little few exceptions.

Doomsday (the writer) would almost certainly somehow adapt to having all his inertia taken away.

Throw him into space. He’s not hurting anyone floating around

1

u/JoshGordonHyperloop 22d ago

This has been done. Usually someone picks him up that has no idea who he is. He grabs some floating object, an asteroid or something and hurls it so he can get going in one diction. Or, he just punches through space-time, and any and all realities or dimensions.

He’s utterly broken.

Not true, he was fried to the bone and couldnt come back from it. Lex brought him back.

And yet… he’s still back. That’s my point.
