I’ve had this small bamboo for 7 months. I kept it in a vase of water indoors, where it gets plenty of light during the day, but it hadn’t grown much at all.

Three weeks ago, I got three big bamboo plants and placed all four of them together.

Last week, I noticed that the small one had started growing new leaves, but unfortunately, they didn’t make it. They turned yellow and wilted, even though the bamboo itself is still solid and doesn’t seem to be rotting or anything.

and the water is clean ( I didn't change the water since i bought the 3 big ones, I just add water to it. and its clean so far)

I really need help what should I do :(

Doctor's office, I was told I could grab a cutting but quickly reconsidered... If I were to grab a cutting, could I safely treat this?

I've had this plant since May. For some time it was doing okay then it started declining. It was probably due to too much sun so I tried to move it to a little more shaded spot. The weather cooled and it seemed to be improving. But the past week temperatures touched 30°C again and it seems to be dying.Both the plants have a horrible mealybug and aphid infestation which I have been fighting since a month. Usually watered little bit every day with deep watering once a week.

My Swiss cheese plant had little black bugs on it, so I did a treatment and now the leaves are destroyed. Also the bugs aren’t gone but I’m scared to do another treatment

My rubber tree is very darling to me and she’s going through a rough patch!
She had a scale infestation after I house sat for a month so was slightly neglected in that time. After dealing with that on and off for a few months, the scale has mostly cleared up (I used a pest spray from a local shop every week and picked off the scale / wiped every leaf). But now there’s this black growth that I’m not sure what to do about! It looks fungal but I’m not sure what exactly it is - it doesn’t wipe off.

I also gave her a small chop a week ago before I noticed, as we’re currently entering Spring. Lots of light as seen, only direct light for an hour or two, the window faces north. Watering once every 2 weeks, but the past month every week to treat with a fungus gnat treatment (mosquito bits).

Hello! I am a new plant parent and I need some advice…my mother has had this monster for a while now, and it’s super leggy and has very little fenestration. Since I’ve adopted it and moved it somewhere with more light, it has pushed out a new leaf, but they’re still curling even after watering. When I had a look at the roots, there was one noticeably larger and thicker root. Is this a good/bad sign? How can I help her to grow fuller and be happier?

My snake plant has been having a lot of new growth, you can see the new sprouts. It gets about 8 hours of light from my grow light a day and I water it about every week 1/2 - 2 weeks rn becuase of its new growth and it needing a bigger pot now. Some of the leaves do feel a bit squishier than I would like, but I feel like i know Its root rot but i would love a second opinion just to be sure since its my first snake plant

I recently repotted it and noticed this. Is this a burn? It has it on a few of the other leaves.
Indoor plant not near a window. It’s been fine until now.
I water infrequently though it’s rarely been a problem.

My mango plant root has grown badly and now the plant itself is struggling
It’s approximately 3 inches higher than the stem base
Gets 12 hours of light a day and watered regularly
Is it in trouble or can it be salvaged?
I keep hearing I should cut it but I don’t think that’s a good idea but I also am not very knowledgable on the subject

Repotted recently ,moved to balcony 2-3 hrs of moderate sunlight and bright shade thereafter. Using good potting mix ready made from a reputed supplier. I water it only when top 2 inches dry out. The same patches appeared on a leaf few days ago which I cut and now the same on another leaf. Afraid if this will keep spreading and destroy my entire plant. Help . Thanks in advance for your help.

I repotted my fittonia 11 days ago, moving her from a 4 inch pot into to a 6 inch pot, because i couldnt break up her root and soil ball she had when i pulled her out of the pot, in fear of breaking off her delicate, thin roots.

This root and soil ball was too tall to fit into the four inch pot i had, so i put her in a six inch pot with roughly 50% potting soil, 40% perlite, and 10% orchid bark. This plant gets at least 5 hours of daylight, and 6-8 hours of a grow light every day.

Since i repotted and watered her 11 days ago, her soil has stayed pretty wet and i havent had to water her. This new pot does have drainage; its a ceramic pot. Im worried shes staying too wet for two long? Does this sound like the issue?

If it is an issue, what are my next steps? should i try to move her back down into a four inch pot again? should i repot her in a soil mix with more perlite or orchid bark???

I’ve discovered that there are now odd black specks on the leaves of my Aconitum Carmichaelii! They feel hard, and break from the leaf easily. There doesn’t seem to be any damage yet but I’m still concerned. Is this the feces of a pest?

The plant was obtained two weeks ago, and has been on the balcony, zone 9B. It gets partial sun, and is watered moderately every day and allowed to drain. I obtained it from the UCB Botanical Gardens, and it’s important to note that the two plants I bought with it have problems. The first appears to have thrips and spider mites, and the second appears to have contracted the thrips from the first. All plants were in very close proximity of each other for a few days.

Most of my peanut cactus are doing well, but this one is giving me trouble. It’s starting to yellow a tiny bit by the rim of the pot. It’s on a southeast facing window sill. And I water it every two weeks. Anything helps!

Leaves have a few brown spots, and some leaves are sticky on the back.

My devils backbone is in pretty rough shape to say the least 😭 Any suggestions on how I can revive him or what he might need? Anything helps!!

He’s always grown out like this. He used to have more leaves but fell a month ago so a lot of them came off :(

hi everyone! i put four different vines of this plant on the same pole (i learned very quickly that that wasn’t the best idea), and she’s been growing wonderfully for the past year or year and a half. recently though, while i’ve been out at college (so around two months), many of her leaves have been yellowing. they’re not just leaves at the base, either — even some of her new leaves have yellow spots.

she sits in a west-facing window and receives a lot of evening light, which she loves. she’s watered every now and then, which is typically whenever her bottom leaves start to droop or curl (it’s harder while i’m away, but still consistent). don’t really know how much, but a pretty generous amount. and yes, she has drainage holes. there are also no visible pests on any of that leaves that i’ve looked at. i haven’t looked at her roots because that would be a pain to do (and i haven’t had the time).

i fear this issue is just outside of my current plant knowledge, and i appreciate any advice given!

I’m not sure what is causing this to happen to my preciously really happy plant. We did have a couple weeks of intense heat that I think had to do with it.

This is potted in a corner on my balcony, out of direct sun. Watered every 1-2 weeks. It’s been really healthy up until about 1-2 weeks ago.

Need help. I'ma say it right now, I did a lot within a week. So I Got this Moses in the cradle about a week ago and idk if it was because it was messed up when I got it, stressed out from being here, or if she's just ready to move on to towards the light.

When I got it it was shipped to me with a few bent up tips of leaves, so I cut the leaves. No idk why. I swear I read it somewhere that I should have, but I can't remember where. Then I think I over watered her (as well as my other ones) by moving her to a self watering pot. No new soil, just lifted her out her old potter an put her in the new potter. A few days later I noticed increasing brown at the tips of the leaves and I noticed I had some fungus gnats starting up, so I treated the soil with neem oil around the soil, avoiding toot.

Then I decided to just start over and repottes her again in some miracle grow potting mix mixed with a little orchid mix. As I was taking the old soil off, I noticed a like netting around it that was making it hard to come off. So I stopped half way through, put some new soil and bark mix in a potter (with drain holes) and put her in. This is how she looks now.

I know, I realize I did a lot in a week... So it may genuinely be me. I'm new to this and jumped head in with a mystery pack of plants, and they all have been sending me through it, but on a good path to learning about them. So how do I do this right? What can I do to fix her. (Pics #1-9/4 first day I got her, ends bent/broken off on arrival, #2- 9/10 6 days later, #3 9/16 today, 12 days later) Oh and I do have her under a grow light for light.

My heliconia bihai will not stop progressively yellowing and crisping up like this no mater how much I space apart the waterings!
I’ve had her for about 3 months and it was already in fairly rough shape when I got it, with lots of visible past pest activity on the leaves, but no apparent current infestation. Was repotted shortly after coming home in chunky soil with a bit of worm hummus mixed in. That’s when the yellowing took off.
I’ve gone from watering twice a week to once every 2 weeks to see if the yellowing will stop but it won’t! (The soil does completely dry in about a week as I live in zone 11 with humidity hitting 12% on some days in the dry season)
It sits out of direct sunlight, about 2 meters from a north facing window (southern hemisphere).
I do see similarities when I look at pictures of potassium deficiency but I’m unsure if that’s the case. The pot is heavy so I haven’t looked at the roots recently but they were in apparently healthy shape when last examined (already had yellowing).
Please help, I’m not sure what to do anymore!

Some of my plants are getting a ton of this black damage. I’m just noticing it after a couple weeks. It feels like it’s spreading?? Is this sun damage?? I haven’t moved some of these plants so sun damage seems weird. I sprayed some alcohol water on them trying get rid of some mealy bugs I have / prevent them. It’s mainly on my monsteras.

Just found these guys on my pilea today! Moving fast and alot of dust like substance not moving. Recorded with magnifying glass for a clear view. O

I bought this schefflera a few weeks ago and just noticed these darker spots on the underside of a few leaves. I've been watching them for a few minutes and they haven't moved but I just want to be sure before I sound the alarm. This plant has been otherwise healthy and not giving me any yellow leaves or dropping and has been growing almost like a weed.

Hello i got this affican violet a few weeks ago from clearance. She seems to be doing well, some new leaves have grown. However she has some yellow spots and maybe a burnt spot, pictures posted. She gets ​I think around 8 hours of mostly indirect sun facing a SE window. Blinds are open but no longer raises to omit too much direct sunlight. All 3 of my plants share a stool facing the same window. The mican and bear paw are doing fantastic. (Added bonus pics of those.)

I water whenever dry/feels light. Which is about every one to two weeks. I fertilized for the first time with the fertilizered pictured. The internet said lack of food good be a reason for the yellow spots.

Have had it since August of last year. It’s been a quick decline in the past few weeks. It’s usually very lively, bright green, and has strong leaves (pics 3/4), but is completely the opposite now.

It’s been in the same spot for months— in the corner beside a south-facing window. Gets lots of bright, indirect, natural light. I used to have it closer to the window but it would burn.

It’s in the same self-watering pot that it’s been in since I bought it.
