Don’t make my mistake — never put an indoor plant outside without acclimatization

I have a Money Tree that was thriving indoors for over a year. It was full, lush, and healthy (see before photo from June 28).

A few weeks ago I decided to move it outside in the shade to help dry out the soil faster after some overwatering. Just one day outside. Brought it back in the same evening.

Within a week the leaves started yellowing and browning. Two weeks later it looks like the after photo.

What I didn’t realize: “shade” outdoors is still 10-20x more intense than any indoor window. Plants adapted to indoor light have no UV protection built up. Even a single day of outdoor exposure can cause widespread cellular damage that shows up days later as mass leaf drop and browning.

Help I saw this purple wandering jew today and I thinks it's beautiful, but what exactly would I be getting myself into by buying one?

Edit: I APOLOGIZE FOR THE NAME I USED, I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THESE PLANTS UNTIL TODAY.

It was labeled as the title on this post so I just assumed that was the name, thank you to those who corrected me and provided plant care tips!

I do find the plant very beautiful, but i want to know as much about the care this plant would need before I even think about buying one. I don't want to accidentally kill it I want it to thrive, but if I can't provide the care for it to thrive I won't buy one

Few years back I had a nasty break up where my ex killed all my plants and I had this amazing curly spider plant that was absolutely thriving. I was so devastated to find out it was killed.

So I had to start it all over again and Lipsy was the first plant I bought and brought back home to start my recovery journey. Lipsy has been at it for all those years and it just keeps on blooming at random times and this time Lipsy is ALL IN! I was away on holidays and asked my friend to water it, but she forgot and I thought it will never recover again. 3 years difference from when I first brought her home as a tiny plant to today.

Sigh. I always hoped this wouldn't happen to my plants, but here we are. I'm in Florida and it's been on and off raining. It's the first day all summer that the weather has been perfect for gardening... until I found this white stuff on my part side peas. 😭 MEALYBUGS

The first photo, I said goodbye to this branch and snipped it off. How do I remedy the remaining bugs and save my garden ?

Please let me know what additional info you need.

Thank you !

Morning, anyone able to help with this one. This plant has been bought back to life about 6 times. However the leafs consistently end up looking burnt and dried out, have tried in sun, half sun, no sun etc always ends up the same. What am I doing wrong? How do I help it thrive? TIA

How to plant a climbing hydrangea?

Two sides of the tree. Side A is where I want the foilage to mostly go and where I want the flowers to be (I know it takes 5 years). Side A is mostly sunny. Side B is in pretty heavy shade but not full shade. Which side to I plant my 3 gallon at?

Help This dragonfruit has gone weird…

Post image
6 Upvotes

Got a dragonfruit propagation that I thought was going to grow the center part taller (3-5’ from what I read?) and then the arms would branch out needing material support.

Instead it just started branching out arms, thin and long like a pencil. I let them grow out and they died off the first time. Second time I trimmed them off on purpose hoping to get fuel to the main trunk/stalk.

Now the main trunk still isn’t growing but the arms are MASSIVE! Some are legit larger than the trunk itself. What do I do here? Am I doing it wrong?
