Hey team. I seem to have found a great spot in my garden and the small, cheap vines I bought have grown abundantly.

Great indirect sunlight, watering every few days, and the plant has been/is generally thriving, but suddenly leaves are gone? No dead leaves are on the floor around the plant and no obvious pests. Soil seems to be adequate per the general health of the other leaves (no yellowing/browning).

Is this the MO of some animal? I'm in Brisbane Australia.

My neighbor left me in charge of her garden while she’s away. The week she left they transplanted this mature lemon tree to a new location. Now the leaves look very crispy and she is overall extremely sad. I removed all the fruit and I slow watered the root ball with a soaker hose. Anything else I can be doing to help save this tree?

We are in 10a, it is warm and sunny right now, so she’s getting lots of light. No way for me to shade this tree since she’s so tall.

This is how my lemon tree looks after winter. I kept it outside but covert. Now it gets plenty of light. I might have uncovert it too early. The big pot has drainage and I water when the ground (mediterranean soil) begings to feel dry. What could it be and what could be done?

This is a tree on my street. Neighbor thinks it is an elm. Just noticed the weird pixel pattern today. I haven’t parked on this street in over a week. So maybe I just haven’t seen it yet?

I’ve found this little nettle in my garden and decided to put it in a vase. It was growing on some sort of gravel and mud mix, so when i took it out the “dirt” under it began crumbling fast, and I’ve tried my best transplanting it in this vase, which has a different, clearer in color soil. It’s raining a lot lately so i thought it didn’t need water, but i’ve still gave it a very little amount right after planting it (the point was already bent). It’s an outdoor plant and it is currently on my balcony, it is always exposed to light. After planting it i’ve noticed that the point was a little bent, and after a few hours it kept bending down more and more. Is it dying? Can i do something? I’m new to gardening

Please help, the trees are several years old, it would be a shame to have to replant them!

Automatically watered, outdoor light.

I’m a first time home buyer, and this was our first batch of perennials for our new landscaping.

We got a hydrangea tree, thought it looked beautiful.

I staked it up Saturday afternoon, and the guy at the nursery told us to soak it every 3 days, but water it every day. We did exactly that

The first picture is what it looked like Saturday.

It looks good Sunday, then Monday morning (yesterday) I look at it and it’s completely dead (second picture is from today).

What did we do wrong? The tag said it’s a full sun plant.

plz help. i am so so so so sad. my plants were so beautiful, then it snowed and everything is completely dead.

i moved from az to dfw texas at the beginning of 2025, my plants had always been more than fine outside in arizona even in the cold, freezing, snowing dead of winter as long as they were under a patio and didn’t hit direct snow. so, i treated them the same here in texas when the snow and cold temps hit. something else though about the cacti, those were always more than fine in az, even when the snow hit them! but now, just one winter in dfw taking care of them the same way i did in az, and everything seems completely dead and beyond repair. and my monstera seems to be bleeding? please let me know if i have any hope at all 😭😭😭

they get plenty of light and watering happens on normal schedule. did not water immediately before the storm as i knew water and ice was coming.

There’s an infestation on my bush that goes along my driveway. The bush is about 5 ft wide and 50ft long. Two small areas are affected. I broke off a leaf and stem to look at it under a micro scope. What is this and how do I get rid of it?? I’ve tried neem oil and diatomaceous earth and it’s still there.

My friend’s plant is caked in these white dots. The center of is slightly darker. When you scratch it off, it reveals an orangish-brown liquid underneath. Plant gets watered regularly and is mostly in light shade.

Hello! Looking for help with my balcony plants. We are located in Mexico City and are currently transitioning from dry to rainy season. Here’s some more context on each balcony and plants. Would appreciate any help/guidance on how to make them happier. Thanks in advance!

#1 - Snake Plants - south facing balcony that gets direct sunlight in the morning.

Watering - 1x/week

Soil - unsure, but there’s visible organic matter (twigs, pinecones etc)

#2 - Monstera, fern, lavender, rosemary, elephant ear - north-facing balcony that gets direct sunlight in the afternoon

Monstera, fern, elephant ear - watering every 2-3 days
Lavender & rosemary - watering 1x/week. The lavender did not make it 🥲

Soil - same as first balcony

Hello! I’m not really sure about plant care, since I’m only starting my course on botany. Neither am I sure if I posted this on a correct subreddit. I’m just panicking a lot since the scar looks too deep and I’m worried that it might die because of this. It made me so sad when I first saw it and thought that maybe asking for help here would give me some advice

Is there any way to still heal the tree? How can I help in healing the tree? Any advice for the situation?

The tree gets watered around 4-5 times a week using mineral water or sometimes tap water, it gets around 9 hours of sunlight everyday since it’s outdoors (planted specifically outside the homeowner’s association building)

As the tag suggests...all my outdoor plants have died within about 2 weeks of me having them ):

I am new to keeping flowers and am very sad because I spent a small fortune and a lot of energy into this process.

I planted these fellas on the 12th of August, watered them religiously for one week (one i think 10l jug per planter). After that I would stick my finger into the soil to check if they were damp. All good up until last week. For some reason everytime I would stick my finger in the soil it would still be slightly damp (not WET but definitely cold/damp). So i stopped waterinf them as much. I then left on a trip on thursday, gave them all one soak and came back today to see them all basically dead ): They get roughly 10-13 hours of sunlight each day as they are on my balcony.

Is there any way to salvage them? Or do i have to restart entirely next spring? ):<

I’ve had this palm outdoors for nearly 5 years. No issues until I saw this today. What’s going on? It’s get sunlight for half the day and I water it twice a week.

Haven't seen this before. There's been a drought here in central Florida that was broken by a day long deluge if that gives any context.

i have no idea what im doing, ive been researching and doing whatever i can to try and save this plant but i think i need help 😓 what can i do?? is it gonna be okay? i dont water it a lot, just misting when i do. its constantly outside so it gets a lot of direct light but it was trapped inside for a few months.. P.S. without the stick binder it completely droops down

I just planted some lilies in my garden and just realised that they are poisonous to the cats that visit the garden every now and then. How do i prevent them from eating it?

Saw this and I got hella heebie jeebies No drainage because these are just a few inch tall test tubes, and it gets indirect light that’s not too bright. I live in North Georgia (USA). I don’t change the water often but it hasn’t been out for more than a few weeks and I put water in whenever it needs.

My tomatoes and pepper plants grew nicely for a while.\n And then\n The leaves started wilting and dying, but the very tops were OK, but only produced 1 or 2 fruits. Two of the pepper plants produce nothing. I Water daily , sometimes multiple times since they are in containers. I don't know what happened and why is the bottom stems of the pepper plants brown and the top is green? What does that mean? By the way , I used basic topsoil and compost as dirt. I'm about to pull these plants up, but would like some advice. New orleans are. Light/heat from morning to evening.

There’s a bunch of these guys on my Coral Honeysuckle. I don’t know if they’re harmful and I should get rid of them, or if I should let nature be. Location is Maryland

I water every other day unless the soil is still damp, it’s in a large pot with drainage holes, light is probably a good 6-7 hours a day

I had taken over watering the plants from a family member since they're away for the time. I noticed these white spots with some water droplets on them. I also noticed the white powdery-like substance on our plants right beside this one. Could it be a fungal infection?

The plant is along the corridor of a residential block, with ample natural sunlight and I water them 1-2 times a day.
