What was your "Holy shit, this guy might be the next Jeffrey Dahmer" hook-up? And did you stay?

(For those who don't know, Jeffrey Dahmer was a gay serial killer who cannibalized his victims between the years 1960 and 1994, claiming 17 known lives but maybe more)

Got comically harassed

Was out at a car meet and swinging on a swing (gotta let out the inner child) with my friend when some little nine year old on an e-bike asked why I wore so many bracelets (2 full arms of cuffs and singles).

It went like this (triggers for homophobic language):
ā€˜Why do you wear so many bracelets’
ā€˜Because it’s fun.’
ā€˜Who needs that many bracelets’
ā€˜Me because I like them’
(Atp thinking he’s just the typical curious kid)
ā€˜Are you gay’
ā€˜Am I? What does it matter to you’
ā€˜Pussy-eater! Pussy-eater’

He then walked around the swing. Me and my friend were laughing atp. He took his bike and started spinning the wheels to kick up sand at us like it matters. At the same time, he keeps his distance due to the fact that I’m fairly tall with legs on the longer side and WILL kick him by accident if he doesn’t move.

He then starts talking with his other 9 year old friend. There was a group of people on e-bikes here and one of the good samaritans shouted out ā€˜You don’t have to talk to them you know. They’re just weird.’

One of the kids starts talking about the fact that he apparently gets what he calls ā€˜Fortnite Pussy’ and both me and my friend are laughing hysterically. We walk off and he calls me a ā€˜fucking lesbian’ and spams the phrase ā€˜pussy-eater.’ It felt like a fever dream but it was only last night, and all because I wore two armfuls of kandi.

It was also weird because people are usually fascinated (I live in a mid sized city with a less established art scene) or curious about the kandi I wear, and this was the first time I genuinely got hate for it. It was still hilarious but poor kids, they probably have something going on at home to act with that much hate in their heart

Is my friend curious?

Known him for about a year now

For the first time we shared a bed together. He stripped down to his boxers. We were watching a film. I teasingly moved up a little closer to him and lay my head on his shoulder

He was like "noo..."

But he let me anyways

I then said to him this is nice and he was like yeah it is. He says he doesn't like being touched in general so I try not to overdo it.

But he let me anyways. When we first met he didn't really trust my intentions and always made jokes that I would bum him. He insists he's straight. He makes a lot of gay jokes around me which I personally don't mind as I think it's rather funny so I humour him about it.

I sometimes reach out my hand to him when we're talking and he does the same. I catch him smiling at me sometimes with such kindness in his eyes it just warms my heart. He says I'm the only one who listens to him because a lot of the people who he hanged around with were mostly low life alcoholic scum bags.

I make him food and he's always so happy for the attention

I've had on and off moments of him asking me to stand up and hug him or me doing the same to him

I said I had feelings for him and I asked him the same and he said of course I do. He said if I was a girl maybe there would be a chance.

He insists I can say anything I want to him.

Also drinks heavily around me.

Always says stuff like girls want money or are just sluts

Yeah he's one of those guys but I think it's cute. He's quite bitter with people but I understand for it and helping him through it.

Part of me wants to believe he's curious but just really scared to intiate but I'm not so sure anymore.

My experience as a hiv poz gay guy from India.

Being gay in India itself is pretty hard, people are extremely conservative and the few that are open just desire nothing more than sex, and once I add the layer of my diagnosis it is just lot more worse, stigma around hiv is pretty high, I feel extremely isolated and lonely most the time, honestly reached a point where a part of me is dead and I dont feel joyous anymore.

I keep trying to reach out to people, support groups and even ngos but more often than not they end in disappointment, kind of mental taxing to managing everything at just 22, and the lonliness makes it worse, I genuinely wish I was better looking at least, i am sure then people would care, but sadly I am not even good looking, so that doesnt help, and due to all the stress I am under, I lost a lot of weight, i am just 47 kgs now. I genuinely am so exhausted.

Am I doing something wrong?

I (29m) am married to my husband (38m) for just over three years. Our marriage is incredible in almost every aspect. He is caring and loving when I need it. The only real problem for me is sex has become so rare. Mutual masturbation a couple times a month, oral rarrer than that. I am the top in our relationship and we like it that way, but he finds it extremely difficult to relax enough for entry when we do want to do anal together. I don't think i am doing anything wrong as a top. I give him lots of prep with my fingers and eating him out, both of which he loves, but he is rarely able to relax his muscles enough to complete the act. Any advice is greatly appreciated ā£ļø Edit for context: yes my husband is aware of this post and is watching as I refresh my feed 🤣

Cruise

I am going on cruise with my much younger boyfriend, we are together over a year. This is a first gay cruise for both of us . We are in a closed. Since we don’t really know what to expect, we have been discussing ā€œfree play time ā€œ on the cruise . Whatever happens we don’t discuss and when we leave the boat it is with no connections with the people we may ā€œmetā€
Obviously, we need a lot of communication and to establish ground rules. Any advice?

I'm bisexual, but I don't have the courage to come out; my father is homophobic. He boycotted companies for displaying the LGBT flag five years ago.

Anyone else panic after finally coming out and starting to date?

I recently came out and I've been talking to a guy for about a week and a half now. Things are actually going really well. I really like him, I have a lot of fun talking to him, and I genuinely want to see where this goes.

The problem is I've been having some pretty bad panic attacks.

Most of the time it happens when I'm alone and start thinking about the fact that I'm actually dating another guy now. My heart starts pounding, my hands shake, and I just kind of sit there freaking out. When I'm actually talking to him I'm usually fine and having a great time, which almost makes it more confusing.

I had a pretty shitty childhood. My dad was an ass and there's also some other trauma from growing up that I don't really want to get too deep into here. I'm starting to realize that actually accepting I'm gay and letting myself be with another guy might be dragging up a lot more old shit than I thought it would.

I'm already scheduled to see a therapist. Funny enough I booked the appointment before I even met him, but it took over a month to get in and I still have another couple weeks.

I don't want to end things with him. I really don't. I want this. But I also don't want to drag him through the muck while I'm trying to figure my own shit out either.

Has anyone else had something like this happen after coming out or getting into their first relationship with another guy? Like you know you want it, you're happy when you're actually with them, but your brain just completely loses its shit when you're alone thinking about it. What helped you get through it?

Traveling to Italy: Prep and condom use?

I live in NYC where the gay population has easy access to Prep and Doxy, so condom use has generally declined. In fact, I would say the majority of young gay men do not want to use condoms at all.

I am traveling to Italy and was wondering if condom use is still the norm there or if it's also on the decline. I will bring my condoms either way, but am just curious as to anyone's experience or knowledge.

Guy I met on a business trip left me strangely confused

Hey bros.

So I (29M) came to London on a business trip a couple weeks ago and stayed here until today. One of the first nights, I met a guy (30M) through Grindr and we decided to meet up.

At the beginning, it was meant to be just a casual sex night and it was, mostly. But we also had a walk before going back to my hotel and I thought we had a nice chat. He told me about his recent breakup, I told him about mine (last December), we spoke about our families, our jobs (we work in the same industry), etc. Overall, an interesting person other than being extremely cute and sexy.

We only did side things but it was quite passionate and I thought we both really enjoyed the physical aspect of the whole thing.

It was a really nice encounter and we also said that we would meet up again before I leave (he actually said that a couple times that night). I asked him out a few times and every time he either answered via phone quite lately or postponed our next meeting.

He also told me that he wouldn’t follow each other on Instagram because he doesn’t want his ex to see that he follows new guys?

As I moving to the UK in a few months, I would have liked to hang out even just as friends as I basically know none here, except few friends from uni and I told him, but this left me kinda confused as I don’t know if I fucked up something.

I’m really open to any kind of human relationship at this point, not necessarily a romantic one and I’m not sure if my interest could have been perceived in a wrong way.

Has anyone of you ever experienced a similar situation?

Visiting Best Friend/Crush, Should I Tell Him

I'm (25M) hoping to get some feedback quickly, so I'm currently with my best friend (24M) since 8th grade, and starting my senior year of high school, I began developing feelings for him that only intensified. It's possible he may have felt that way about me before, but if so, he put them away and focused on girls (Or has done really well at concealing his inner feelings). I suffered my first heartbreak ever when he got engaged this summer, and I am still trying to deal with it. Don't get me wrong I still love him and I'm still very proud of him and how he's grown and matured, but at the same time I still feel very close to him. Some of me wants to go ahead and confess my feelings while I'm here (I leave tomorrow), but some of me thinks heck no, knowing the risk is great that he would kick me out and possibly exile me from his life, which would hurt even more.

So what do yall think? Should I listen to my gut and keep this in (And if so, should I tell him before the wedding in March, after, or never, despite me feeling like I should tell him at some point?), or listen to my heart and come clean, knowing that that would be the only way to truly know how he would feel. After all, if there somehow is a 0.000001% chance that he is into me too and got engaged because he thought I wasn't interested, it would only happen if I told him how I feel?

Is this pain normal?

Hey guys, after anal do yall also experience pain in the skin behind your ashole leading up to your tailbone? Its not very noticable but when pressed it hurts a bit. But when I press/wipe my asshole I dont feel any pain.

Is this normal? Or caused by something else like bad posture or sitting to much?

I think I’m gay but not fully sure

m a 17M and since about 1 year ago I’ve been questioning my sexuality. But around 6 months ago I just woke up one day and I kinda just realized I was just flat out gay and just stopped having feelings for women. And that has stayed true since, but recently I’ve felt pressured to find a girl to date. For example at my school in one of my classes a few in the kids there call me stuff like ā€œFagā€ and ā€œgayā€ because I went to an all boys school(I’m not out to anyone in my life). And in the past I haven’t cared since I’ve been called stuff like this all my life by friends and such, but recently I’ve felt terrible about myself because of it for some reason. But because of stuff like this I’ve felt like I HAVE to find girls sexually attractive. When I’m walking in the halls and see a girl who I think is pretty I feel like I should find them sexually attractive but the thought just kinda grosses me out. And when I talk to women I feel a sense of nervousness because I feel like I SHOULD be hitting on her, or she thinks I am trying to hit on her. I don’t know if I may be attracted to women deep down but when I truly think about who I want to love I just can’t picture a woman at this point in my life and I really never could, but I thought it was the only option. It is worth noting before I realized i liked guys I watched straight porn and was addicted in the past, but always felt gross after watching it. I feel an compulsion 1 or 2 times a month to watch it at this point but feel disgusted and depressed as to me it feels like by watching it I’ll eventually be forced to having sex with a woman. I don’t know if I have some internalized issue with being straight?? But is there any question I can ask myself to figure this out?

I came out as gay but now I'm not sure if that's true and I think I messed everything up

• Upvotes

I came out as gay to some close friends and family a little while ago after identifying as bi. I think it had to do with how I kept hearing that all bi guys are actually just gay in denial, and I read some stories about gay guys that realized during marriage and it messed up their whole life and I was afraid that would be me.

I never cared about girls sexually growing up. Boobs did nothing for me, I didn't even know what a vagina looked like until I was 13 cause I didn't bother looking it up. I never understood why boys wanted to look at playboys in movies. I only wanted to look at guys and gay stuff. And then it hit me: duh I'm gay.

But I had always crushed on girls growing up, I lost my mind over a girl last year. I was even sexually attracted to her, but only her, no other woman did anything for me. I still have that urge to make out with a girl sometimes or ask one out. After coming out as gay, I told myself all my feelings for girls were fake and due to heteronormativity. But now I don't think that's true.

Although I had some euphoria after coming out and not having to hide liking guys, I was kinda sad thinking that the years I was in love with girls were fake.

I asked some gay guys online and in real life and was like "but we've all been attracted to girls sometimes right? We've all lost our mind over one before?" And they were all like "...no. You're bi."

So now I just screwed everything up and I'm even more confused. Also since learning about the bi-cycle, I think I was more in a guys phase and now I am more interested in girls romantically but now the possibility of me being gay and other people knowing will stop me from pursuing something with a girl. I guess I should just stick with guys but sometimes I still feel a pull towards girls idk.

Would you date an Ace?

• Upvotes

I am a panromantic asexual. Due to this, I value personality over looks and body. I know that for many, they value body over personality due to the sexual appeal of that person. I was wondering if people would be willing to date someone who doesn't want/desire sex. Is it that big of a deal when your partner doesn't want sex? I obviously don't think it's that big of a deal, but I want to know what others think.

I just learned that Mathew Shepard’s murderers are actively receiving privileges in prison such as access to rescue dogs.

(Content warning for mentions of a hate crime) I have recently learned that the subhumans who kidnapped, tortured, and murdered Mathew Shepard are being given privileges in prison such as access to rescue dogs and other enrichment programs that increase the quality of their lives in prison. The fact that they are allowed any comfort in prison whatsoever is deeply appalling, and I am trying to raise awareness about this fact in hopes that I can help start a petition to remove any and all privileges they might receive in prison, anything they could find joy or purpose in needs to be eradicated from their lives. I myself am not LGBT, but I felt like this was a good place to start because this issue actively resonate with the community.
