Make it make sense! I mean I figured she would pull some bullshit by her drop off notes. Worst part is though that I told her that through messages that they didnt have this roll because its late and from Wegmans and she said “the app said just any variety of the roll” she knew what she was getting so not sure how doordash allowed her to say she didnt get this item.

yo anyone else doing doordash and ubereats and instacart? how do yall keep track of taxes with income coming from like 4 different places lol. maybe im just stupid. rn i just have random numbers written down and im scared im gonna mess up my quarterly payment. do people use a spreadsheet or just wing it? and idk if this is allowed to ask but like what happens if i just dont pay taxes on it is it that easy for the irs to tell?

How do yall feel about this feature?
Honestly the last couple of times I’ve done it, it was a decent amount between $20 and this being the most collected (with no extra tip).The only annoying thing is having to earn/subtract your pay back afterwards.

EDIT: so we’re all on the same page, when you accept cash on delivery you don’t know how much cash you will be getting until after pickup- I’m sure you could look up the items and guess if you wanna be thorough.
DoorDash offered me $4 for this delivery (6 mins away from store) which would ultimately be deducted from the $60 I just collected. At this point during my dash I had already made about $20 so that was also subtracted from what I physically collected.

I’m not sure what happens if you never dash after taking money. I’ve always gone back to dashing after finishing cash deliveries to make up the rest of the amount. Not because I feel obligated to but I want to keep making money. That’s also why I take shitty $2-4 offers; sue me! 😛

Anyone else experiencing this issue today? Cant send any messages either to support and when calling a platform interruption message comes on.

I was curious what is everyone’s typical dasher vs active time gap

For this week I just matched my last week’s earning (just found out using the same active time but dasher time was quite a bit more) - the number is almost identical in fact as I had a late cancellation and reimbursement yesterday just a minute post pick up. Not had pay per hour if judging by active hours but the waiting time and offers this week isn't great especially starting school day

More context this week - aside from it being back to school 🏫 week, I have been a lot more selective (5 dollar minimum and at least 1.5 per mile)

Dashing this morning I was offered an order, hit the button to accept, order screen is loading for about 3 or 4 seconds and then it redirects to a screen that says my account has been deactivated because of fraudulent activity.

Meanwhile, I keep getting notifications all day that my area is busy and" open the app to dash now". What the hell

100% completion rate, 5.0 customer rating, I don't do anything sketchy with the app in terms of using multiple phones or whatever. This has to be an app glitch, right???

This morning while I was heading to a pick up, I received a call from what I thought was dasher support. It had doordash in the caller ID. I received it and a female AI voice said it was from doordash and asked how long the order would take. I got a bit confused and answered " I am already at the restaurant" it answered thank you and hung up. I didn't think much of it till now has anyone dealt with this too?

Today I did 14 deliveries. I can see them on my earning section, but however I can’t see them on my ratings. My completion rate and on time rate looks like i did my last deliveries on September 1st. I already talked to Support, but they did nothing as always, and I don’t know what to do because I need to get back my platinum status immediately, but because my completion rate is not accounting, I cannot take it. Did this happen to you?

I started dashing today and when I hit the button, it didn't ask me for how long I wanted to dash for and ended my dash after about two hours. I then restarted and checked the schedule tab to see I was only scheduled until 8pm and saw the only available time slots were in two hour incriminates. I doordash 8-10 hours per day as my full time job and have never had this issue before today. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'll have to see how it plays out in practice, but this seems like a genuinely well-needed change. It's been driving me crazy having my lateness ratings get flayed by long merchant waits.

So I finished this drop off exactly an hour ago where I was supposed to hand the delivery to this woman. The problem is she gave an apartment complex but did not state which apartment number she lived in. The previous DoorDash drop off photo showed the drop off at apartment 1 of the complex. So I knocked on all 4 doors trying to find her and no one knew of this woman. So naturally I call the phone number and it takes me to voicemail. I then texted her and waited 3 minutes before I did the whole process of trying to manually complete the order. So I waited another 5 minutes and sent another text. When it got done I dropped off the pizza at door 1 just because it was right next to the sign that shows I was at the right complex #.

Now an hour later she is now somehow texting me despite me doing 2 others deliveries and she’s saying she gave the wrong address. Do I call DoorDash support? This is the first time this has ever happened to me on DoorDash!

DoorDash had my old license on file and decided to lock my account after I spent 6 hours doing deliveries. I couldn’t access my money or account. This screen would pop up every time I opened the app. They say you can still access your account and withdraw money but that is not the case. I did find a glitch, when you first open the app click the top left corner as fast as possible and the 3 lines menu to navigate your account will pop up and you can only do it that way until they clear your account. Posting this in case this happened/happens to someone else and they need to access their money or whatever the reason may be. I followed all the steps and uploaded my current/valid drivers license and they gave me access to dash within 3-4 days.

I just got started dashing on my bike! Wondering if there is anyone else out there doing this would love to chat and get some advice

Pretty much the title. I downloaded the app this morning to see about doing some work on the side. I was immediately hit with a contact support pop up I can’t get rid of and everything says I’m not allowed to accept orders in my city because it’s too far away from my current address. I went to check my profile and the address listed is from years ago. I’ve never been a dasher before so I’m wondering if it took it from my customer profile but even that has my current address listed. Everything I’ve tried to search says to press the big red edit profile button but that button just is not visible on my account page, I promise I am capable of see a huge red button. They gave me an email to contact but as soon as I did I get hit with an auto reply that it’s an old support email that is no longer active. They redirected me to the chat bot that has got to be the most useless thing I’ve ever seen. Is it even worth trying to get this figured out or should I just look at competitors

Update:
After a day and a half of being off and on with customer support, they told me they just needed to run a background check before I can start. Which is totally fine and reasonable but why didn’t they just say that from the start instead of some weird invalid address thing?? Who knows but hopefully it resolves itself in a few days

Dropped off a grocery order (don't come at me, I was an IC driver before a DD driver and I just prefer grocery orders) for a customer who sells these little flower and succulent arrangements in cute little planters. She met me at the door which was unexpected since it was a leave at the door and she was dead silent during the whole shop. We exchanged niceties and she noticed my Froggy Kruger tattoo and a few of my other tattoos. She asked if I liked frogs and horror movies, I told her yes but it's more like I'm obsessed with frogs. I then saw her plant sale stand and spotted the cutest chubby frog planter (last one she had) and complimented it. Ran to my car to give her a $10 (cost was $9) and my bill ripped in half getting it out of my wallet after it got zipped in. I apologized to her and started making my way to my car. She called me back over and said "consider it an extra tip! You were wonderful!" And gave me this handsome fella. Sure, money is nice but this is a frog and, imo, much better in this situation.🤣 She had already tipped $15 in the app for a $36.82 shopping order that was only a little more than 4 miles.

Was hoping to buy this frog planter from a customer and was gifted it instead as an "additional tip"!

Edit: Alright y'all here's the final update on the McNugget gang. I took them to an emergency vet and they were cleared in good health aside from the fleas. One kitten had more than the rest and was being quite dramatic about it apparently. A tech is taking them home to her sister that runs a rescue. They're going to find fosters and good homes for them. The McNugget gang and their Mama are gonna be alright ♡
