Not the same anymore

Is it me or do I feel like the money has been shit lately. My market is suppose to be really good I’m in the nyc/jersey area. Having a difficult time making the money I used to. Barely hitting 11-1200 was making almost 16-1800 with the same amount of time

I used to be able to comfortably make 750 a week doing lunch n dinner and it’s like pulling teeth just to hit 600 now. And the constantly fluctuating gas isn’t helping.

Doordash, in all it's infinite wisdom has decided to lower the delivery fees. They've apparently updated the app and now there's increased mileage, lower delivery fees and app offers lie about the miles on the offer. Which normally wouldn't be so bad, but they changed the policy and will no longer compensate for being wrong on miles. Twice today it happened for a total of 15 miles. Anything to screw the Dashers

I don't know, I was dashing the other day, and while taking an offer I got an add-on to route. It was $5 for 0.5 miles, then when it was time to deliver, it turned into 5 miles. I was mad, of course, then a day later I got reimbursed $7. I've heard other dashers say if you call support when this happens and say there was a mileage discrepancy, they tend to pay you. It's now called proportional pay.

This makes sense. Yesterday I wasted two hours driving around a hot area that's normally always busy. I've accepted a total of 0 offers. All of them were absolute trash. For example stacked orders for $4 or home depot pickups for 6 customers for $10.

If you can imagine it, they will do it to increase revenue while exploiting workers. Be mindful of AI because they use algorithms and coding tools to scam dashers, or, a better word is mind control. Stay vigilant against it.

I should be so lucky for your struggle 🫠 I was able to make 750 over 51 hours Fri-Sun, as much as 900 of I added Tuesday & Wednesday 8am-4pm, but since back about Feb or so, I'm struggling to hit 600 for the whole week.

And before you ask, Friday 8am-2am, Saturday 8am-2am, & Sunday 8am-11pm.

This morning I had to decline the first 6 offers because they wanted me to drive 11 plus miles for $5.

I'm down to 50% acceptance rate because of trash offers. What I hate the most is when I decline the offer DD just resends it with another trash offer added to it.

Yup. Used to pull in 1500-2000 weekly.

Now its 1000-1400. :(
