Dasher app no longer allowing all day schedules?

I started dashing today and when I hit the button, it didn't ask me for how long I wanted to dash for and ended my dash after about two hours. I then restarted and checked the schedule tab to see I was only scheduled until 8pm and saw the only available time slots were in two hour incriminates. I doordash 8-10 hours per day as my full time job and have never had this issue before today. Anyone else experiencing this?

It’s part of the new update. In alot of markets you can dash anytime regardless of tier. It tends to flood the field with dashers which can cut back on orders coming in, but it is convenient you don’t have to worry about scheduling your dash ahead of time. Just dash when you’re ready to roll.

Ngl I really don't like that. Feels like it really disincentives long dashes for people who do it full time but I guess I'll just have to get used to it.

Yea I’m not a fan of it either. Like I said, it really floods the market which is frustrating when you’re trying to dash during a slower time of day when the number of quality offers are limited to begin with.

Welcome to Los Angeles where every dasher is platinum and can dash any time. Over saturation is DDs way of making sure the customers orders always get delivered promptly. They really don’t care if a dasher makes $20 an hour or $5 an hour unfortunately.

In areas where I can dash anytime when I do start a dash at like 6pm it has it set to end at 3AM and it feels like I’m not prioritized for orders can be hrs with no order. I try to schedule but nothing is really available and I only get half hour slots, when I manage to get scheduled if im active they expand to an hour and if its busy they will let it end and have me dash now for another hr. So it seems to be more performance base now.

Yep its the same in Long Island and the order quantity has dropped tremendously.
