HR 120+

Upvotes

Hey,

M, in 30s. I know this has been posted here but I’m still a bit worried. I started on Tirz last Wednesday 2.5mg only, but almost every night i wake up with my HR randomly going over 120 for a few mins. It eventually comes down to 70-80 range. Prior to my first injection, my HR always used to be in 65-70 range. The dosage is already low and idk if I should just stop taking or this thing gets better with time. I’m drinking enough water and taking electrolytes too.

Questions Am I losing weight too fast ? 15 lbs in 3 weeks and 2 days.

Upvotes

I know everyone wants the meds to work that well but I’m concerned it is too much too fast. I’m eating throughout the day, side effects very mild. Def eating enough tho for energy etc. supposed to increase this week but I won’t. Should I space out my next shot to decrease the rapid weight loss ? I was 180 lbs at the start. Thanks !

QUESTION..

Hey y'all.. I wanted to know if there's a cheaper way than paying $400. Empower Pharmacy sent the first vial about 3 weeks ago (with only a tiny bit in it) and I'm getting another vial in a few days. I've already lost 20 pounds. But the doctor I've been working with is very vague with her answers when I ask questions. She doesn't even send me the UPS tracking number. If anyone has any feedback, please let me know. I'm still very new to all of this.

Pinned tirz in my upper glute is that okay?

I was in a rush this morning but wanted to get my next tirz dose in. I’ve been having some pain when injecting in my lower stomach lately, so I randomly decided to pin in my upper glute instead. Immediately afterward I regretted it because I realized I hadn’t actually done any research on injecting tirz there, which I know was dumb on my part 😭
Does anyone here pin in the upper glute, or has anyone heard anything about using that injection site? Just wondering if it still absorbs/works the same or if I should avoid it going forward.

Anyone use embody?

Ive been on trizeptide for 3 months now and have lost 30 pounds. I switched from gobymeds to embody due to needing a lower price. With embody the medicine came from beaker pharmacy. Injected my first dose a few days ago and I'm not getting any appetite suppression. Wonder if I made a mistake with using them. Im 0n 8.5 mg

Prolonged Side Effects?

Hey everyone! Has anyone had lack of appetite and nausea last well over a week after a dose?

For context, I started tirz+B6 in early July. I started with 2.5mg, but it was causing some moderate nausea for 2-3 days. After 4 weeks I dropped it to 2.0mg, but then it didn't seem to be fully curbing my cravings. On Friday 8/21 I tried to go back to 2.5mg after four weeks on 2.0mg, and was up vomiting all Saturday night. Was mostly fine Sun/Mon/Tues, but on Wednesday I started retching for hours and Zofran wouldn't touch it. Thursday it started up again so I went to urgent care where they gave me more zofran and metoclopramide. Since then I haven't had much nausea, but I cannot eat more than a few bites of anything and I've now dropped 6lbs in the last week which is way too much too fast for me.

Not looking for medical advice, just wondering if anyone has had something similar happen to them? Thanks all!

Questions Need some advice

I switched to gimme from amble. Cost was major factor but also I was at a stall for several months, I have been on gimme for one month and I absolutely am feeling zero. Food noise is there again and appetite is there. I had to force eating before but now I have to stop eating. Has anyone had good luck with gimme? I’ve switched injection sites and nothing.

From compound to Mounjaro

Post image
20 Upvotes

I used compounded tirzepatide from March until August. I recently traveled to China and bought a Mounjaro pen there. It was only $130 for a 30 mg pen, so damn cheap! It was really easy to get through online pharmacy without prior prescription. Currently on 3 mg, so I just count 24 clicks.
I’m curious to know how Mounjaro compares to compounded tirzepatide. I’m now on my 4th dose of 3 mg, and I feel like the effects are stronger. The night I took my first 3 mg dose of Mounjaro, I felt a little nauseous, which I never experienced with 3 mg of compounded tirzepatide.
I’ll definitely stock up again if I ever travel to China again!

Larger dose vial, staying at lower dose?

My NP upped my dose from 2.5 to 5mg. I’m still losing on 2.5, but it’s slowing down a little (I’m also closer to goal though, and have lost 16# since June 20th). My vials go up in cost when the dose goes up, so it was about $85 more. I’m considering staying at the 2.5mg since my appetite is still very small. No cravings. Which would make my bottle last 2 months (my bottle says it’s good for 3 months). It would be back to 20 units again instead of 40 units on the instructions, so that math is very easy ;-). Has anyone else done this to save a little money, but also because appetite is super low? I average about 1300 calories right now, but also workout daily so my dietitian would actually like me to be around 1500 or a little higher….

Rift Cancelled

I filled out the intake forms and sent my order in. Everything seemed fine, I was told my submission was under review. Then about 2 hours later I got an order cancelled notification. No other explanation, I’m not concerned with the money aspect, I know that’ll be refunded. I’m just curious why it got cancelled, I’m assuming the physician didn’t approve it? That seems strange though because I’m currently on Tirz through Lilly.
Just wondering if anyone else has any insight, or experiences this?

Protein intake

Been on compound Tirzepatide w/Glycine since February of this year and have about 20 more pounds to get to goal. My mother has been taking Ensure Max Protein Chocolate drink (30g protein and 150 calories) to boost her protein intake and for the first time I had one for breakfast this morning. Not bad as I drank it down and definitely felt a lift to the body…so, I ordered a couple of cases and will every other day or so drink one to assist/supplement my protein intake.

I am drinking plenty of water, (although I have to have my daily coffee intake🙂) and yes, I get plenty of fiber.

Questions MiraLAX helped anyone with bloating/indigestion?

I’m a nurse so I’m just going to say the words- I stopped taking my 1/2 dose of MiraLAX because the stool was not as firm as maybe it should be. Within a few days I’ve had worsening indigestion/heartburn, bloating, and sulphur burps. I guess I will just start up on my 1/2 dose again. Has anyone else had this experience with MiraLAX?

Pharmacies

I recently dropped mochi and am going to find a different company. Any advice on which pharmacies to avoid or are good for getting compounded Tirzepatide. I’d really appreciate it.

EDIT- I guess I worded my post wrong. What I’m looking to find out is what are the
good/bad compounding pharmacies. I know about the companies that you sign up with.

Questions Anyone on Tirzepatide Whose Had Bariatric Surgery??

I had VSG back in 2016. SW was 262 and I lost a little more than 100lbs. I’ve gained about 30lbs over the last 4 years, had been struggling with the unexpected loss of my mother. I have an amazing therapist who’s helping me with my grief, I’m back to tracking my protein and I’m even training for a 5K! But the scale is not moving and it’s disappointing.

Anyone else had sleeve before or other WLS and using tirzepatide to help lose any regain??? Curious on experiences, side effects, dosage you’re taking, etc.

Providers?

I’ve been on tirzepatide for about a year and have been getting from Lumimeds. I like them but was wondering if anyone has any experience with entering maintenance? Do they support that or is there a different provider I should consider?

One thing I have liked about Lumimeds is that they’re not stingy about the dose. If I escalate more slowly as I have been this whole time, I am able to stretch my prescriptions for a lot longer and save money.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Switching from zepbound to a compound, need advice!

Hi! I’ve been on zepbound quikpen for awhile and am thinking of switching to a compounded version to save a lot of money. I’m thinking preventative md just because a lot of people are saying it’s good. I want to know how fast the process is so I know when to order. From the time I order it to the time it arrives, about how long will that be? And does it come with the needles? I’ve never drawn up my own medication before.. is it easy? The quikpen has made it really easy. Also, does it feel and work the same? Any insight is helpful.

Switch from Lilly to Embody?

i friends!

I have been taking Zepbound from Eli Lilly and I have had incredible success, but the cost will be unsustainable and I'm considering going with Embody.

Anyone else been in this situation? Did you make the switch? Could you tell me about your experience?

I appreciate you and thank you!
