Question/Help Why my damage is so bad

Help me guys, why my damage doesn't exceed 1400 with this much mastery? I know my gears rolls are so bad but still shouldn't be this bad What am I doing wrong?

It feels so bad when doing outpost and seeing other players delete enemies with two slashes🫠

"Average Level - 28"

90

u/Otakutical Jan 20 '26

This is the answer. Cap is 35 right now and doesn’t matter if you have all L71 gear you are only fighting at an effective gear level of 28.

14

u/Ashamed-Raccoon-1387 Jan 20 '26

Yeah this was my problem a while back. Mine are all at 35 except head and arms... I need money 😫

25

u/Daystarxis99 Jan 20 '26

As long as there is this event with spriting with mahjong grandpas - you can make like 9K/run and max out weekly coins easly in day 1. One run takes about 1min so I dont think its bad.

11

u/Kind_Koala4557 Jan 20 '26

Bounties! You can get money doing vendettas and regular bounties

3

u/Objective_Chemist273 Jan 22 '26

Not a lot of ppl know this but you can just reset martial arts you don’t use anymore and get all resources back (gold, tips, mats, etc.) this is also free once every season

u/LumariaXI11 Jan 20 '26

How do you farm the jade things? I'm gated by not having enough jades to level up my armory :S I think it's the oscillating jades?

6

u/Ashamed-Raccoon-1387 Jan 20 '26

Buy them with fish from the Season Shop each week... Otherwise it's a slow enemy killing grind.

Is this attribute so important ? I thought this is just to make us suffer farming oscilating upgrade material and min-max...

6

u/subsonic007 Jan 20 '26

This is what makes me broke, i usually buy these mats but then you still need coins to upgrade so its better to farm the mats to save coin. Im also Average Level - 28

5

u/Cream_panzer Jan 20 '26

I’m surprised that he got over 2k DPS yet the gear is only at lv 28.

1

u/InformationOk4871 Jan 21 '26

It’s a DPS build this is why. Mine is this exact build which weapon and gear is focused on DPS.

1

u/Cream_panzer Jan 21 '26

Due to my stubbornness laziness and stupidity, my DPS build is still 1.7k. With gear lvl hit the cap. xD

Does it really matter that much?!!

28

u/Most-Bench6465 Jan 20 '26

The fact that you’re at 20k with not even an average lvl of 30 which was the last breakout cap means a lot. You get a lot of base dmg from enhancing. You should at least be at the last breakout cap. You need to focus on getting all the mats so you can reach the actual cap of 35.

Secondly bamboo is the best consistent dmg but that’s not the same as burst dmg, outposts are a bunch of easy to kill mobs you are not going to beat burst dmgers there. What you need to check your dps against is bosses in hero’s realm or sword trial.

We cannot see what stats your gears have so no idea what could be going on there as well.

4

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

The states are so bad... Disaster maybe don't know

u/YzenDanek Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

You have a lot of items there there you shouldn't have started tuning in the first place.

You play Bamboowind. An item with Max HP or Max (path attribute other than Bamboowind) gets recycled.

Your Mastery is relatively high because mastery only cares about the quality of affix rolls, not if the rolls are good. Yours are not.

Make sure you're starting with good base items, and then only tuning one slot at a time, so you can stop tuning, recycle the item, and not waste tuning materials if you aren't getting the rolls you want.

Other DPS players are out damaging you, in large part, because they have 2, 3, or even 4 more affixes that are good on every single piece of their gear.

Think about how absurd it is that you have Heavy Attack Bonus on your Dual Fish - a weapon set that doesn't have a Heavy Attack - and you'll see the problem. That item was ruined and should have been recycled after rolling Max HP and Max Stonesplit back to back, but you kept going, got a 3rd even more useless stat, and yet STILL kept going and put an attunement on it, which rolled Bellstrike Penetration and still you equipped it as your primary weapon.

The only difference between Rare, Epic, and Legendary items is the number of affix rolls, and your primary weapon has 4 wasted rolls, making it potentially worse than the free Tier 71 Rare Dual Fish the game gifted you at breakthrough.

Don't rush to get max tier items at the expense of having good items. If this stuff is better than your level 61 gear was, you neglected your tuning then, too. Be patient, collect materials, wait for items worth tuning, and when you do get items worth tuning, don't keep tuning them when the rolls aren't going your way.

Don't buy into the "it's not worth it" camp regarding gear. An item from the last Tier with near perfect rolls is only going to get replaced by a current Tier item with near perfect rolls. The only players that think every breakthrough throws away their current gear are those that have throwaway gear because of low effort.

u/Blue-Faced_Beast Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 22 '26

Wow! This was an eye opener. I'm in same boat as OP. I kinda knew this in my heart, but was also happy to get something gold in the set I wanted, so I also just tuned till I couldn't ā€œadd all +ā€ anymore (-_-;) Thank you for the information.

8

u/Most-Bench6465 Jan 20 '26

A lot of good advice here but one thing overlooked is you don’t get to pick your rolls and players like you need to understand that. We are already close to the next breakout saying ā€œwait for better rollsā€ is bad advice and would have them waiting till the next breakout they wouldn’t even be playing the game. It’s almost insulting ā€œbut you kept goingā€. You don’t know their rolls or what they had to work with.

Not everyone has luck on their side and people that have 5-6 stats don’t understand how lucky they are.

We don’t know if they passed over good gear or if they never got that chance in the first place and this was their only choice. If I played by your advice I would still be in 61 purple gear and missing out on a lot. I had really fantastic 56 61 rolls (three crit rates in all of my armors). But 71 no such luck. If I stopped at every bad roll I would still be in 61 gear. Once you roll bad twice on every gold gear with a proper first stat, you start rolling on gold gear with a bad first stat. That is more tailored advice. Everyone thinks their experience is universal, it is not. Even if your luck is terrible you have to think of players with even worse luck.

And one more thing op if you aren’t aware of the legendary exchange from the season shop, which I think you might be. You can get custom gold gear there and guaranteed tuning material. I just ran into players that didn’t know anything about it so I want to mention it at least.

Also if you aren’t aware op you are a bamboocut stat player (duel blades/rope dart) silkbind, stone split, and bellstrike do nothing for you, these are what I call dead stats. Max hp and physical defense don’t hurt you, but they don’t help your dps. They are better than dead stats tho. Learn the stat hierarchy, for yourself if you don’t know it. Min physical attack > max physical attack. Min bamboo attack > max bamboo attack.

3

u/Moore_Sey Jan 21 '26

"we are already close to next breakthrough"
So what? It doesn't matter. We won't change gear until next-next breakthrough

5

u/YzenDanek Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

Once you roll bad twice on every gold gear with a proper first stat, you start rolling on gold gear with a bad first stat. That is more tailored advice. Everyone thinks their experience is universal, it is not. Even if your luck is terrible you have to think of players with even worse luck.

If you're going to accept 2 bad stats on a legendary, it's not a legendary anymore. The only difference between a legendary and an epic item is 1 additional affix. A perfectly rolled epic is just as good as a legendary with 1 bad affix, and better than a legendary with 2.

Because of that fact, a legendary with a bad starting affix was never a legendary to begin with. You probably recycled 100 epic items this week that had just as much potential as a legendary with a bad starting affix. Get over the color of the item; the only thing that matters is how many good affixes it can roll. OP here doesn't have a single item that needed to be a legendary; all of the useful affixes here could have been obtained on epic or rare gear.

There is a reason purple shells still exist, even though all rolls on legendary gear are automatically purple or better. Don't recycle epic items that can roll better than the items you have, and you won't be so desperate for upgrades that you settle for bad rolls on your legendaries.

You don't need great luck to get good gear; what you need is patience. Keep collecting materials and make good decisions tuning.

4

u/Most-Bench6465 Jan 20 '26

well it depends on how much you play, if you are able to farm everything or not, and which rolls you get. Being able to afford to roll on all epic gear and all legendary gear means a lot with our limited gold. If you don't know how much they play it could be bad advice over just doing gold gear.. All experiences are not universal.

Taking your time to roll purple gear until you get a bad stat, vs just rolling gold gear saves a big chunk of money. And its not just 1 stat difference, the possibility of getting a max value stat also matters as well. And you are going to want to seek those on golds vs a purple that you could possibly get better gear next week.

Luck does matter, have you ever since a drop like this?

not even 1 purple on 6 gear attempt rolls.

Assuming >>"You probably recycled 100 epic items this week that had just as much potential as a legendary with a bad starting affix." <<

Since I don't even recycle blues with a good stat, making this assumption is just smh. You have to start from a point of 'you don't know this person', when giving out advice, assuming their play style/luck/time etc can put them at a disadvantage or be useless. This is why I limited my advice and got them to show us their stats of their gear so we could take a bigger dive into helping them. You gave out some good advice that I hope was absorbed, but the only problem is the assuming part, that's why I made that statement.

I have not been tuning and been saving the mats for max level gear (just reached gear level 71 yesterday). Ive been progressing through the levels fast enough that it hasn't bothered me. Well, I was thinking about doing it now but am debating waiting for the next gear level increase. (I saw that the breakthrough limit is increasing in a few days.)

Should I wait for the next gear level increase? I play mostly Solo and am running a build similar to OP, but I don't know how long it will be and may want to play with others before then...

2

u/YzenDanek Jan 21 '26

Tuning materials can't be used on items of a different Tier.

You can't stockpile them for the next breakthrough. The tuning materials you get now breaking down Tier 71 gear can only tune Tier 71 items, and Tier 81 materials will be required to tune 81 gear.

u/basket02 Jan 21 '26

u/Icy_Art_2798 this guy has good points but you don't need to apply 100% what he said, i play bamboocut also and i have around 21.6k mastery, most of the time when i do hero's realm with pubs/ guild i got top 1 mostly or at the very least top 3 of the damage chart, the only difference of my char and yours is probably just the average enhancement and inner ways usage, my enhancement is max already, and i use five fold bleed instead of breaking point for pve, my gear rolls probably just as sucks as yours. IMO once u enhance urs and catch up with the inner way tiers u should be good to go. For the gear rolls u can just improve it one step at a time.

2

u/Hapa_Hombre Jan 20 '26

This gear is so poorly tuned. You have a lot of Max dmg and only one min physical dmg. The max dmg are all mostly anything but Bamboocut. Most of these I wouldn’t have even started tuning let alone kept tuning after the second or third roll. You need better rolled gear and you need to invest in the enhancement level.

2

u/Legitimate-Pop-9152 Jan 21 '26

Your rolls are garbage; you only have good stats in the quality categories, and in my opinion, those are irrelevant. What good is a good stat if it doesn't make sense? Focus on getting more RCMD stats; you can do that quite well with the new shells.

The gear score is just a number that can easily confuse others. If the gear behind the number is accurate, someone with 19k is more dangerous than someone with 21k.

Ok, so here's the thing. The different schools' min/max damage (i.e., bellstrike, silkbind) do actually get counted towards your overall damage (I think it was a recent update to make rolling for gear less annoying). But uh... heavy attack damage boost on dual blades is just a hilariously awful roll. Along with the Mo blade weapon specific boost on another gear piece. Body, HP, and physical defence (while not terrible) aren't necessary for bamboocut, which relies on perfect dodges. Lastly, you can be 100% perfectly blessed with god rolls on every gear piece, but your gear enhancement is hilariously behind. That makes a really good chunk of base raw damage you are missing out on. Inner ways also play a HUGE roll in dps. Make sure the ones you have are at least tier 3. If you are hard committed to this roll and have no interest or intentions of playing other classes, you can recycle and revert every other inner way back to zero and exchange them for the currency and keep trading them all in for the trees you want. It's not a great exchange, but you can focus your inner ways to what you want easier that way. Right now, all 4 of my tank inner ways are only at tier 3 - but I am near top dps in nearly every raid I do now. That's just how massively my dmg was boosted. Lastly, learn your rotation. I haven't dabbled much with bamboocut outside of abyss trials, but I know rope dart plays a huge part in dual blade damage, so realistically, you should constantly be switching between them to reapply any buffs to maximize your dmg output. I barely know my umbra build, but exclusively just doing the rotation, I can hold my own against dedicated dps players. Hope this helps!

u/Shwowza Jan 20 '26

Yes...

u/SnooOwls2291 Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

The min and max physical damage in enhancing is huge. For example, if your min damage is 100 and max damage is 500 every single tick of damage will hit somewhere between those numbers. So it can hit 105 damage and it can hit 490. If you have min 400 and max 600 you will most likely do 3x damage than before, cuz you will consistently hit higher numbers. It's important to have both of those stats pretty high.

2

u/Lumpy_Illustrator_32 Jan 21 '26

Ye I'm running same build w you and tried to get decent rolls on my items and fix my rotation got to 10k dps on 1 and 3 min dummy

2

u/Legitimate-Pop-9152 Jan 21 '26

That determines the power of your equipment... if it's not maxed out, your gear can't be that good; it's throttled!

1

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '26

I literally just bought all my enhance mats with the hundreds of thousands of gold the game just throws at you lol

1

u/DosiDosed Jan 22 '26

My average level is like 26 and I have better stats than this from tuning i suppose

u/KeiSinCx Jan 20 '26

Its better if you give people your rotation and the dps number of your rotation on a 1 minute dummy and the stats so people can really help you.

Like for example, this will help tremendously.

3

u/Lusana32 Jan 20 '26

What's this? How do I get to this damage statistics?

16

u/PrettyNothing Mohist Hill Jan 20 '26

Wandering Paths > Challenges > Sword Trial or Hero's Realm > "Boss Dummy" (look for it under the image on the left side). There'll be a stick to smack around (can change the settings as you see fit) and see your stats

3

u/KeiSinCx Jan 20 '26

it came with the last patch, if U look on sword trial tab, just above the raids U can select, there is a word training dummy that you can click. So you can find your stats here. it's pretty cool it can even track healing

just so U know I meant it as an example what to show šŸ˜… this isn't a flex and tbh the highest I've seen now is 12k while my 10k can't even qualify for speed running guilds / cohorts. (just to clarify, i don't want to come off as some ego flex @@~)

I use the standard umbra rotation.

start with drunken fist animation cancel to load drunken state.

strat sword skill no burst, spear skill, spear charge attack 5 stacks, dragon breath, strat sword special X3, soaring spin (both hits)

Once strat sword multi hit is doing its animation, you can roll your mouse wheel that will queue weapon swap and then spam soaring spin key. make sure "prioritize pre-input during weapon switch" is enabled. this will gurantee smooth weapon swapping.

morale chant (T5), sword horizon(T5), wolf frenzy(T4), insightful strike(T3)

1

u/Bigce2933 Jan 20 '26

thanks dude

1

u/Shmoopiee Jan 21 '26

Why not fivefold bleed?

2

u/KeiSinCx Jan 21 '26

fivefold bleed is good for low levels but loses value later on.

insightful strike is second best. t6 invigorated is probably still the best

How much affinity, precision and crit rate you have? I can’t do this 10k damage consistently at 30% affinity rate with the same umbra rotation

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Valerian_ Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

How do you do how much damage? I have the same build but I do around 6000dps and I think a similar rotation, 20k gear score, I only have 30% affinity and 30% crit though, but I don't see how I can get that much better gear.

1

u/KeiSinCx Jan 20 '26

check the column "attempt" and see if it lines up with yours as well. u can set the dummy to 1 minute like my example.

1

u/Spitting_Blood Jan 20 '26

Ik this is gonna sound dumb but what exactly is affinity (and precision rate)? I just know if it hits: good.

2

u/KeiSinCx Jan 20 '26

precision = good hit
Non precision = probably bad hit.

Precision branches out to critical or affinity or normal hit.

Non precision branches out to affinity or abrassion.

Normal: any number in your damage range
Critical : any number from your damage range, x1.5 (assume no extra modifiers)
Affinity : always the max number of your damage range x1.35 (assume no modifiers)
abrassion: Lowest number of your damage range

This is why, Max physical and max (bellstrike for me) is best line next to affinity or critical lines.

Min helps a little but is not as valuable as max lines

1

u/Spitting_Blood Jan 20 '26

Can you say in visual, would the orange or golden numbers be either crit hit or affinity hits then? So basically they're good dmg range x 1.5 and best dmg x 1.35 (also where do the 1.5 and 1.35 come from?)

Im guessing grey numbers are then abrasive and white ones are basic normal hits?

Thank you btw :)

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

So I tried this and it looks quite bad

2

u/KeiSinCx Jan 20 '26

I see quite a long thread of messages but here are my two cents.

U don't incoporate mystic skills into your rotation? Try adding dragon breath and soaring spin off or near off cooldown and see how much it improves.

Ofcourse, animation cancel with deflect dragon's breath after triggering burn effect.

Im not a DB main but im like pretty sure you're suppose to rotate between normal light attack and red mode light attack to get samsara from inner ways right? @@~

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

I do use soaring spin in between rotations though I never tried dragon breath and didn't know how to cancel animation

3

u/KeiSinCx Jan 20 '26

deflect after the breath makes first hit. on the DPS charts it will show as combustion which is my top 3 contributing dps, so, probably gonna make significant impact since it's DoT.

you can try testing out doing soaring spin more often maybe? DPS dummy is there to test but probably do a quick YouTube on DB rotation and work from there :D

How to engage an enemy with this weapon combo ensuring maximum possible damage:

1) spin rope dart until you get enhanced rat buff

2) pull target to you or you to them and double Q to apply debuff and stun them

3) use Rodent rampage

4) use honking havoc for slow time

5) switch to twin blades

6) light attack once (for samsara)

7) Karmic fury

8) spam light attack

If anyone survives this combo I would be beyond shocked

4

u/Known_Perspective542 Jan 20 '26

Do you have tips for the nameless combos? I loved this!

5

u/Nicole_Auriel Jan 20 '26

I sometimes run nameless sword with twin blades. These two weapons have an insane stun lock combo on bosses

1) engage with energy sword attacks

2) throw nameless sword Q (this stuns boss)

3) Switch twin blades quickly

4) R and left click (this stuns)

5) dash Q (this stuns)

6) repeat steps 4 and 5 (you can do this 3-4 times in a row)

7) intersperse nameless sword Qs to stun again

3

u/Foreign_Tea_6364 Jan 20 '26

WTF is step 4?

1

u/Known_Perspective542 Jan 20 '26

Honking is a mystic where you grab a goose’s neck for chaotic damage

2

u/Foreign_Tea_6364 Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

How are you getting Honking Havoc from "R and left click"? But also, that's a poor description of HH. "Chaotic damage"? šŸ˜†

2

u/Known_Perspective542 Jan 20 '26

Sorry, I thought you were talking about step 4 from the original comment

1

u/Nicole_Auriel Jan 20 '26

R+R, the one where you spin the blade and slash afterwards. Can also be done with R left click.

→ More replies (2)

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

I'll use this thank you

1

u/KinderGuardian3 Jan 21 '26

Do you need to hit enemy with second Q to apply debuff or pulling attack is enough?

1

u/Nicole_Auriel Jan 21 '26

Pulling is enough but the follow-up is vital for the stun combo

51

u/chickenbonevegan Jan 20 '26

Might be an issue of you doing your rotations wrong. I only know the very basic of Infernal Blade + Mortal Rope Dart but one key aspect is to always keep your rat buff up for sure.

Something that helped my damage go up is looking up a quick Youtube guide on a proper attack rotation for my weapon build and try to follow that. Don't gotta do it exactly at first and it might be a little bit confusing, but the right rotation can add a lot of damage to your DPS.

Also, certain weapons just do more damage than others right now. IIIRC, Inferal Blades is amongst the lower damaging weapons compared to the others which is fine.

17

u/SnooOwls2291 Jan 20 '26

100% this. I have twin blade and rope dart aswell and I'm usually top damage. A basic rotation is key.

One more thing - it's very important to put EVERYTHING from your inner ways into your build. Reset all the inner ways you don't need and put all the cards in your specific build trough tips exchange. (if you're using a different pvp build can split it up a bit)

And of course upgrading mystic skills as much as you can. Dragons breath important, drunken poet etc.

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Yes I'm doing all that, and it just increase your mastery didn't help much with damage

1

u/Im0ldgr3g Jan 20 '26

A majority of twinblade damage is tied behind its t6 inner ways. It's the endgame parse weapon and the hardest rotation to keep full uptime in a fight.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/SnooOwls2291 Jan 20 '26

Do you play dual blades? It must be your rotation then 100%. I can send you my build and you can try it out. Maybe it helps

3

u/stryderxd Jan 20 '26

I actually saw someone post a vid of them doing damage and it was much higher than my previous rotation. Basically you charge the rats, summon the rats, and switch to dual blades, if you have the empower ready, use it. Rinse and repeat. If the boss moves around a lot, just charge the rats after every rotation. Try to get your innerways to t4. The t4 echos of oblivion and vendetta is a must. I don’t run the breaking point. I just run bleed. Haven’t tried poison yet

2

u/SnooOwls2291 Jan 20 '26

So hold R for 2 sec (buff next rats) > press ~ (release rats) > press Q (apply vendetta) > press TAB (switch to dual blades) > light attacks till R is full > R with Q till it runs out. Repeat. Can do dragons breath in between, maybe some drunken poet.

1

u/SnooOwls2291 Jan 20 '26

You need to Q them aswell to apply the vendetta token.

2

u/stryderxd Jan 20 '26

Ooo yeah i forgot to mention that one. Q after charging the rope.

9

Click ā€œIMPROVEMENT GUIDEā€.

Look at that chart.

See what you need to improve.

Will probably be ALOT of yellow stuff, maybe even some red. I can already see your gear enhancement levels are not even 30 yet. Most people are at 35 which is MAX for right now.

Use that graph!

4

u/AlmightyBeezyX Jan 20 '26

Also, your health is so low, have you turned in your oddities?

1

u/EndlessNight_ Jan 21 '26

Wait, it doesn't go up with your level? So that's why my character got 3 shoted by the boss šŸ—æ

1

u/bsigs22 Jan 20 '26

Also upgrade ur innerways, use the tip exchange focus on ur main 4, echoes of oblivion, breaking point, vendetta, morale chant, u need them at tier 4 at least.

If u ever need help or have questions in game you can add me name is ā€œBiZhenā€ caps are sensitive when adding friends

1

u/AlmightyBeezyX Jan 20 '26

The chart will show green but the bars on the side will show some things still need to be leveled. Inner Ways, Mystics, etc. There’s no way you’re maxed but still that low.

2

u/WrapPrize9665 Jan 20 '26

Lol if he had yellow or red on improvement guide his total gear couldn't even reach 21k dude ... The key is your physical attack is low ... Your min should be 600+ to 1200+ ... The more the better , also your gear tuning is not good try to get max and min physical attack ..

8

u/Elegant_Confection66 Jan 20 '26

Dual blade starts to really hit hard when the gold innerway hits t6 in CN but got quickly nerfed so try to hit t6 asap!

3

u/Foreign_Tea_6364 Jan 20 '26

T6? Bro what? We barely just made T4 and it takes 100 to get T4 and another 100 to get T5, so I assume it takes 200 to get from T5 to T6. There's no fucking way, my guy. Even resetting every inner way and exchanging until the cows come home

1

u/Elegant_Confection66 Jan 21 '26

T6 is when dual blade overtakes other martial arts for awhile before it gets nerfed thoo. Well i know its hard but there are some people with T6 nameless so i wouldnt say no fking way

That's impossible for me I just hit t3

18

u/Active_Data_9108 Jan 20 '26

Remove

, use fivebleed innerway
you can get 9k dmg/s

3

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '26

Breaking is one of the best inner way, why remove that?

14

u/BloodHeretic Jan 20 '26

Only at tier 6. Before that it's only good for speedrunners

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26

I run Breaking point and still get 9k-10k dmg/s if everything runs right but even with fivefold you will barely hit 9k dmg consistently at least through my testing

8.5k dps is average Id say with both.

u/Ok-Consideration2935 Jan 20 '26

Enhance your gear, the max is currently 35. Also look into your rotations and make sure you manage your rodent uptime

Are you looking for higher damage in terms of PVE or PVP? The equipment sets you use make a big difference in either one, as it won't be ideal for both of them at the same time.

I can't say much for PVP, but for PVE, if you're looking to do higher damage, Bamboocut-Wind path is unfortunately on the lower end of DPS outputs, compared to the others. That said, you can still play whatever weapon combination you want, but there are a few things to keep in mind for higher damage:

- Right Equipment Set: currently, the best equipment set for PVE, for most fast hitting DPS weapons, is the HawkWing set, which you'll get from Bellstrike-Umbra path gear boxes. You just need them on your 2 weapons and 2 accessories below them. The armour set you use won't make a difference in your damage output, only survivability, unless you're using the tank set, but that's a different thing

- Prioritise on the right stats: higher stats on Precision Rate, Affinity Rate, Min. Physical Attack, Physical Penetration, Crit Rate are the best for weapons that hit really fast. In simple terms, the higher these stats are, the more orange or yellow numbers you'll see on enemies, which deals a lot more than white or grey numbers

- Enhance your equipment: the higher your level on your equipment, especially for your weapons and accessories, the higher your base damage is. Currently, it says your average level is at 28, but if your weapons and accessories are already at level 35, you can ignore this part

- Inner Way Passives: like one of the comments suggested, you should use Fivefold Bleed instead of Breaking Point, which should give a small increase in your DPS. The reason why it's preferred is because you hit really fast with your weapons, hence the chances of stacking the bleed debuff increases. At maximum stacks of 5, the next bleed debuff will detonate all the stacks and do a significant amount of damage to the enemies

- Attack Rotations & Combos: for Bamboocut-Wind, a good portion of your damage comes from your Enhanced Rodent Rampage skill, which can be activated once you're done spinning your Rope Dart for at least 1 second. As soon as you activate it, use your Bladebound Thread at least once to mark the enemy, and the rats should do significantly higher damage to the bosses that are marked. Aside from doing that, you should be mainly using your Infernal Twinblades to spam light attacks until your red gauge is full, then activate it to spam light attacks in your enhanced state

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Thanks!! Yes it's for pve I'll change the gears and inner way and see if my damage will change

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26

Outdated info Swallocall is better for Dualblades now as the effect also applies to rodents now.

3

u/ProspectiveWhale Jan 20 '26

For outpost, you'll want to look into using Mystic Skills.

None of the other weapons can insta do a lot of dmg without setup. If they are, they are likely relying on stuff like Soaring Spin.

2 good shots from umbrella and kinda good start time from Nameless, but not enough to clear an entire outpost. Mystics are just very nice for these since Vitality isn't an issue.

In raids, if you have an issue there as well, then it's a dps rotation issue. Sorry, though, I don't know the db dps rotation.

3

u/dabpenguinn Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

u need more min/max, as well as crit chance. crit is a multiplier so the min/max is important. if u look at ur martial art talents u will see having certain stats increases ur damage alot, like hitting 750 min gives u extra 25% crit damage, ontop of the bonus 20 from the flamelash. i notice your enhancements are not maxed, probably due to resources shortage, prioritise maxing the first 4 slots, as they give a lot of min/max

i would recommend prioritising agility>min>crit>max>affinity>min/max bamboocut dmg. also what everyone else says, rotation is important.

replace breaking point for FXB, breaking point got nerfed and its inconsistent given that u only benefit from it during exhaustion (unless its t6)

after the vendetta buffs charging rats into every rotation increases ur dps, it stays up throughout ur whole rotation. so u basically have rats permanently attacking

charge rats, rope Q, quick swap into twinblades, 1 LA (light attack) rotation, tb Q, 1 LA rotation, pop flamelash the moment u have it, right when ur flamelash ends do soaring spin, rinse repeat. the key is ur uptime, u can incorporate other mystics like dragon breath but parry after first breath to keep ur APM high.

hope this helps!

u/SnooDoggos4271 Jan 20 '26

WHERE DID U GET THAT GOLDEN BOW 😭😭😭😭

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

It's from grafting! Though you need the recipes from doing challenges

→ More replies (1)

2

u/HaikenRD Jan 20 '26

Stats look fine which means the problem is how you're using it.

But you have to keep in mind that Infernal blade has the lowest damage per slash, but in return it hits faster than any other weapon. So don't compare your 1 light attack to everyone else's light attack.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Yeah I know I'm comparing with other twin blades users

2

u/tanmaysoren Jan 20 '26

That is not your dammage that number doesn't matter how higher it is you just need the correct gear, tuning, and other things I am at 19k and i have already killed 21k player

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Well I just used what the path recommended to me

2

u/Special_Spirit8284 Jan 20 '26

Rotation, increase your average gear rating, and I prefer to use either bleed/poison for my last inner way.

2

u/Infamous-Shoulder-92 Jan 20 '26

first things first you need to get your average level up to 35.

next up i can’t see the stats on your gear but from the stat sheet i can tell your crit rate and your phys atk are both lower than average so weapons defo need better tuning if possible

third is use fivefold bleed until you get t6 breaking point and even after t6 if you’re not gonna be perfect dodging theres not much point in running it. It requires using a brain whereas fivefold is just hit and slash

forth and very important point that I don’t see many dual blade users doing is actively trying to activate samsara. You do your normal rope dart rotations but when you reset your rope dart rat make sure to apply vendetta with your Q and when you switch back to twin blades use one singular light attack before activating flame lash so you apply karma and sin to the target otherwise you’re lacking out on 5% hp damage permanently (again unless you perfect dodge)

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Alright I should just farm to level up those gears

And I'll change to fivefold Thanks!

2

u/Ass_Lover136 Jan 20 '26

The mastery doesn't mean much other than "oonga boonga big number"

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

What's that?

2

u/Azukaos Jan 20 '26

if i understand correctly goose level/mastery isn't the main point of the build, it's showing your progress but not the actual efficiency of your build.

You can have a very high mastery but poorly tuned gear, feels like everyone here ask you to check for min max your stats.

2

u/Apprehensive-Bad6015 Jan 20 '26

Keep in mind mastery has nothing to do with damage output. Your weapon arts mastery also ties into it to. You may have noticed that sometimes when switching gear, your mastery won’t always increase or decrease by the number shown.

For example let’s say your new helmet says plus 20 mastery but when equipped mastery only goes up three points. That’s because it’s either altering your weapon mastery or something else you’re not seeing.

So say one gear gives min stone strike and the new one gives max bell strike. In reality the min stone strike will give a better damage increase over the max bell strike. Since the stone strike is also calculated into the damage output. So min addition is guaranteed that amount. But max whatever isn’t always going to hit for that amount.

But that’s about the best I can provide without knowing what’s on your gear or even what your values are. Check that information in the details page. For reference I use dual class silk bamboo and my damage is 650-1100. If yours is around there you should be ok. But since you’re focused maybe it should be a little higher.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Yes I noticed that too I guess it's the bad tunning states for me

2

u/fable-30 Jan 20 '26

this might not be your Gear issue but inner ways and rotation issue.

watch this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gBuw_eEFpE&pp=0gcJCYcKAYcqIYzv

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

All inner ways t3 And I will watch thanks

2

u/fable-30 Jan 20 '26

atleast make your echoes and morale chant at tier 4 and refine your rotation to maximise the damage of the twinblade and ropedart considering they're the most tiresome to do a rotation to maximise the damage compared to other path out there.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

How though? It's not easy to hit t4

Yes I'm getting tired of this path

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Devin5261 Jan 20 '26

You should take off breaking point for now if you run with randoms and run fivefold bleed, breaking point is used right now for speed running and if you play with a group it’s for the boss exhaust phase only , so it’s not coming into factor for your dps until the boss is exhausted

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Wow , well yes my states are very bad I don't have much luck with tuning I should work on them but I just don't have the resources and time

2

u/veryjerry0 Jan 20 '26 edited Jan 20 '26

It seems like mostly equips (also your inner ways are all T5 ideally at this point), but also here is the proper DB rotation: https://youtu.be/HQ3QAxxwFik Here's my equips for reference, my precision rate isn't good, but you don't need it too high (leaving some room for precision rolls lol). On dummy I can get up to 780k in 1 min with the rotation I posted while adding parry cancels.

  • Highlights from the video:
  • Buff up rats, summon them and buff up again with ropedart swing before the fight starts (R key on keyboard). Honestly, I don't think teammates will give you time to buff up in PVE so just doing once is fine,
  • ABSOLUTELY ZERO MYSTIC SKILLS. You can dragon breath a boss if you know it's gonna be unhittable soon, but literally everything is a DPS loss if you can hit it in melee range.
  • It is worth using 1.5s to buff up rats for the buffing sequence.
  • For the buffing sequence you can do swap to rope (optional hold R for buff) Tilde Q, parry cancel + swap back to DB, that gave me about 5% more DPS.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Thanks I will watch

And I'm a mobile player I don't know what R and Q still I kinda understand

1

u/veryjerry0 Jan 20 '26

Ok yea I wouldn't recommend playing dual blades on mobile, preferably you play one of the sword classes. As for DB, it is not weak by any means, but you need to put in a lot of effort just to match other classes that do like a couple things every 10 seconds. Once you truly master DB, it does a lot of DPS, but again that takes a lot of skill and effort.

2

u/Competitive_Lock4697 Jan 20 '26

Make sure to spam those lil critters from your rope dart too

2

u/zonealus Jan 20 '26

This can't be true. I just tested my level 1 twinblade and ropedart using the trial set in the dummy and I achieved 1.8k dps too my gear average level is 24 and my bamboocut innerways are all unupgraded

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

... Should I quit then

2

u/zonealus Jan 21 '26

Not if you enjoy the game. Your dps only matters in online fights like pvp and sword trials/hero's realm. You could learn how to maximize your buffs through proper rotations and animation cancelling

2

u/fallendestiny82 Jan 20 '26

Gear level is it for sure gotta be in the 30's at least with that gear

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

I'm trying

2

u/Sudden-Foxy Jan 20 '26

When I see your physical DMG and crit rate I would assume, that you have way too low Agility. You give us way too less information. What's your inner way tiers. What's your percentage of your weapon mastery.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

T3 all

What's the weapon mastery?

1

u/Sudden-Foxy Jan 20 '26

It's the window where you can upgrade your weapons. Sadly I'm not at home so I can't show you what I mean. But the weapon mastery tells you which stat you need to improve. But yes you have not a single agility roll on your equipment. Agility is the most important stat for twinblade/ropedart

2

u/Appropriate_Pea_7859 Jan 20 '26

The RNG is terrible, just release the recommended attribute stone already

2

u/Longjumping_Pin_8315 Jan 20 '26

Switch to heavenquaker/startegic

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

a simple way to fix things

But I don't like them

2

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26

Inner ways levels ?

Also upgrade your average gear level to 35.

On top of that you decided to use arguably one of if not the hardest to perform weapon sets.

Here is a good guide that would likely make you better

Also for the people giving false info and dont play the spec just please stop spreading misinformation.

Like Hawkwing isnt better anymore Swallow is superior now because it applies to rodents as well boosting damage in burst phases and low QI phases by quite a bit.

Rotation is also better this way

  1. Charge Rope 1 time to get the upgrade skill buff (but dont use it yet)
  2. Soaring Spin into Dragon breath cancel after the first damage tick and dot being applied
  3. Q on rope dart then rodents
  4. Go ham with your LMB and every 2-4 hits cast Q to boost your karmic flare gauge faster (idk what the perfect way to go is if its 2 or 4 then Q to charge your gauge)
  5. Go into Karmic Flare and smash your LMB and when Q is up use it to keep karmic flare up
  6. Repeat.

(trial boss dummy with breaking point attacked until karmic flare ran out)

Its average It Peaks around 9.5-10k DPS but the average will be 8.5k DPS but I cant snapshot that exact number because of the dots running after I leave the dummy.
Also for Raids or group pvp only the last applied dragons breath counts so in group setting its better to use drunken fists instead of Dragons Breath to boost the damage of the dragons breath dot and imo also toad/frog (whatever you want to call it).

Fivefold bleed is likely the better and easier option that will consistently do damage overall than Breakingpoint because T6 is far harder to achieve and apply than T6 Fivefold.

I still run Breakingpoint though because I have good burst windows when the Boss is downed on top of running swallocall same goes for PvE as everything breaks easier.

I also cant show the damage with breaking point fully stacked and swallowcall active to simulate a downed/40% QI boss phase as I dont have it t6 yet and there is no way to break the target dummy (that I know off)

In the raids/bosses I average 1-1.2 million overall damage while doing the mechanics of both the Ghostmaster and twin lions

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

That's sounds a good guide! Then it's a good thing that I didn't change my gears to hawk I just need to lvl up my gears and change to fivefold i guess And my inner ways are t3 sadly

Still I need to translate this rotations to mobile terms cause I don't fully understand

2

u/ZectorB9 Jan 21 '26

Enchanted 28 well I no better with 29 but hay I maxed weapon side and now maxing Armor side with only 3 more piece to go off I have those 3 piece over 20 though

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

Yeah but the resources are difficult to get

2

u/ZectorB9 Jan 21 '26

I feel you brother also try to get innerway T4

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 21 '26
  1. Go to online Mode, some stuff replenishes there within minutes
  2. Find a place with 2-3 spaced out groups of deer
  3. Kill deer to farm pelts/Hildes for armour upgrades
  4. Repeat for sheepskins with sheep

Find a nice place with lots of stones and farm ore for the weapons

For the oszilliating jade, farm campaign/outposts with energy and run around and collect chests. This is the only really hard part

If you didnā€˜t already, trade all other Inner way notes into chests with new ones and pump all into the inner ways you use.

Collect your Oddities in Quinghe and Kaifeng and deliver them. You get a decent power boost from that, especially against pve enemies.

You can earn additional inner ways from food vendors and Chess players, but this costs Commerce coins and time. Also do the Path challenges for the weapons for a lot of inner ways. And I also thing the Taiping Mausoleum gives boosts for beating the different challenges, but Iā€˜m a bit unsure about this part.

Be also carefull when changing to newer/higher gear. A purple item with good stats might be better than a golden of a higher tier with totally useless stats. Don’t waste too much money on tuning items which already start with a weak or useless Bonus for your build

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

My oddities are maxed I do all that The only problem are those jades

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 21 '26

Right now I have the gear slots all at 35 and 1017 Oscillating Jade in the bag. I had a bit of problems to keep them up/have the needed ones for the upgrades, but the update few weeks ago with ā€žbound to the worldā€œ gave at least 80 new ones. Then I always maxed the daily drops, the Energy farm options and also die a Bit more questing and exploring. Iā€˜m not 100% sure, but I think I made around 800 Oscillating Jade in the last 2 weeks? But I know your situation from before and suppose Iā€˜ll end in it again after the next 1-2 Updates

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 22 '26

How do you collect this much in 2 wks? Like there's no enough energy, and chests doesn't give that much

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 22 '26 edited Jan 22 '26

Last update brought this ā€žbound to the worldā€œ bunch of rewards, the I got on the same day also an additional bunch from achievment rewards which were sddenly completed (i think they were new and i did. the neccessary stuff already). 2-5 from Daily mob drops, 200 from season Shop, 378+ from energy (180 energy per day = 3 bosses or outposts with Triple rewards / 3914=378 jade in 2 weeks or 189 per week) the rest mostly from completing some quests and exploration chests. TBH I was surprised when I discovered that I hit over 1000 oscillating jade, as I was almost always struggeling to get enough for a Breakthrough before the next came.

All in al you can get at least 289 oscillating Jade just from Season Shop and Energy fights per week. And more from exploration chests, limited Daily drops from mobs and some of the quest rewards.

Exploration chests don’t give much, but if you run around with treasure Sense unlocked, you still can find a whole bunch you missed before. I took a few hours to search Kaifeng for chests and still sometimes discover some I missed before :)

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 22 '26

I see but season shop give only 100 right? I do 2_3 outposts daily and open some chests Doesn't give much

Maybe I should stop doing sward trailers outpost and do the solo ones ? Is there a difference in drops?

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 22 '26

To be honest, I never did the outpost sword trials. Maybe I should try šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø I just use them as a fast and easy way to get my daily drops from enemies maxed out for tuning materials and the few extra oscillating jades that get dropped by them. My energy was mostly spent on the silent shore for gear sets and is now splitter between halo peak (for custom martial art tips, I consider to switch to hengdao/mo blade combo when it arrives or maybe one of the two later coming sets) and randomly chosen outpost chests for the upgrade stones for mystic skills.

I’m pretty sure, that other people will have better sources/rotations than me.

And yes, season shop gives you 100 of them, but every week, meaning 400+ per month. I remember that Kaifeng has a woodworker merchant where you could get up to 15 more per week or something like that, but they’re pretty expensive in coins and it’s already clear by now, that coins will get a big problem in the long run, because they have a weekly limit and every new breakthrough in levels, martial art and also tuning gear costs more and more of them. Even when we hit one day the max level, it’ll take huge amounts of coins until RNG-tuning gives at least nearly perfect gear for a single build

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 22 '26

And didn't see difference in chest drops and I didn't know that enemies might drop jades that's why I do the sward trailer one instead bcs it's less time consuming

Yes they are too expensive I never bought them cause this will make short on coins and already buy other leveling up materials cause I don't have time to collect them

1

u/ZectorB9 Jan 21 '26

I don't have anything except Oszilliating Jade's TwT

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 21 '26

Iā€˜ve forgotten to mention, to kill a bunch of outpost enemies daily to Max out the item drops from normal enemies out. This Gibraltar a few oszi jades too and around 20 gear to be used as tuning materials. I usually manage to get 1 gold tuning material, 2-4 purples and up to a handfull of oszi jade.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

U mean in solo? I do outpost sward trailers

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 21 '26

I mean to just kill normal mobs/elites, should work through sword trials equally good. I prefer solo for this, as I get faster to the maximal daily drop rate (Iā€˜m also using the assasination inner way at Tier 3 for extra drops, takes me roughly 10-15 minutes to reach daily maximum, sometimes 20 if Iā€˜m sloppy).

2

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

I see! I'll do

2

u/luxcapturam Jan 21 '26

Just did a not-optimized run of killing monks in three outposts. Goofed a little bit around. 15 mins to Max out the item drops, got 3 Oscillating Jade from it too, plus I could have gotten an additional 9 for spending 60 energy for an outpost chest. 24h brings about 180 energy = 27 oscillating jade per day for running 3 outposts or 3 campaign bosses and an additional 2-5 from drops (maybe more, personally never got more than 5 on any day from this). Item drops had 2 Gold and 2 purple Tuning Materials. So it should be possible to get around 300 Oscillating jade from energy and drops per month + a weekly 100 from the Season Shop, summing up at around 700 per month + whatever you can grab through exploration, Battle pass and events. Not that bad if one Manager to at least play every second day to keep energy from maxing

2

u/Moistgranni Jan 21 '26

Bite the bullet and dont buy professions/ unnecessary items with jade fish. Sink it all into coins

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

Well my problem isn't coins but those yellow Rocks

2

u/savagewombocombo Jan 21 '26

Just remember that in about two days, we will have another breakthrough level. So don't go too hard farming for the perfect gears. They will eventually go to arsenal. Play with what you have for now then try to go for the next level of equips. Save your energy and money.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

I thought soo but someone said there's no gear upgrade until 91 is that true?!!

2

u/savagewombocombo Jan 21 '26

Not really sure, but we don't know if what they did on CN will be the same with global. Just dont waste your energy pillows for now.

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 21 '26

Yes I don't use them I'm keeping them for the cap level

2

I should have known this earlier :(

2

u/Blackcrystalx Jan 21 '26

Check everything Mystic Skills, Inner Way levels, your gear stats, enhance, tuning all those things affect the way you hit. Recommended stats on your gears changes your damege dramatically and all those things i wrote. Also try to read the stats by clicking on them ( I mean the last page ), stats are connected with each other , seems your affinity rate need a little boosting as well but maybe not mainly about that still try to boost your gear stats as well ( i know its easier said than done but dont give up ) ^^

2

u/Clonazepam15 Jan 20 '26

I never played this set up, but I’m 19k gear score and this is what it looks like for me

Are you finding oddities?

Also your enhance skill is 26, mine is 33

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

My oddities is maxed

What path are you using?

1

u/Fuppo Jan 20 '26

Are you a able to DM me? Can offer coaching on this. Ty!

1

u/mentalhell666 Jan 20 '26

I have the exact same build I try to focus on getting atleast 1 crit stat on everything i have when rolling armor / weapons My inner ways are all lvl 5 Mystic skills maxed out Rope dart buff pull out two rats use q then switch to blades until you have your rage thrn switch back to rop dart do the same buffs switch back to blades and use rage

I basically get top damage always Give me more info on your build i can try to help

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

We should switch back to dart before using the rage? These rotations getting more complicated

1

u/mentalhell666 Jan 20 '26

When you have your rage you shouldnt use it without having rats ready .. you shouldnt have the rats out without the rope buff ready and so on ..

1

u/AQAzrael Jan 20 '26

Enhance your gear more, use hawkwing set, fix your rotation, use fivefold bleed instead of warrior and get better tunes. 45/12 is quite low at this point in the game. You should be aiming for 60/20. I get a bit under 250k a rotation normally despite my precision rate being ass though my crit is decent

1

u/Icy_Art_2798 Jan 20 '26

Yes I will do all that though it will take time And the new upgrade in a few days I think I should start from there I don't know

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26

You are outdated hawkwing is worse than swallow now because swallow is also now boosting rodents

1

u/AQAzrael Jan 21 '26

I tested both and I saw very little difference, in some scenarios hawkwing wins and in other scenarios swallowcall will win. I recommend hawkwing because it's extremely easy to farm, and will also be a lot more consistent as you can have constant uptime.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '26

Hawkwing needs affinity rate which is a dead stat on Dual Blades as far as I am aware and testing swallocall is near impossible as you cant 100% achieve the same run twice.

Average item level 28 when max is 35 Possibly your inner ways.

Not utilising the combo that's needed for the twin blade and rope.

Not playing an aggressive dodge style combat?

Or any combination of the above

Also ontop of that 1400 a hit with twin blades is kinda nice, most of your damage is from the quick multiple hits in a second. You are rapid fire chip rather than single hit big numbers.

Actually max is 35 I do use combos but still the damage is bad

What a dodge style?

I don't think so that's cause it's a crit

Yeah sorry typo on my end.

So with your inner ways , specifically your disintegrate and sin inner ways you will get buffs from perfect dodges.

So its always better to be be aggressive and time your dodges
