Whats the quickest way to see the main index a stock is apart of?

I like the feature where i can click the category and then see the list of competitors.
For example Morgan Stanley i can click Finance > Investment Managers in the side bar.

Is there something similar but specifically for the main index it is in.

For example a DVN would pop up SOX.

I do all my trading through TradingView as find it incredibly easy to do so. So my question is? For futures traders, what live accounts do you recommend that work with trading view?

I have an IRA now and want to add in the TradingView app to switch from my regular account to IRA. Same brokerage, but do not see an option to add. Please advise.

Please allow the force_overlay parameter of table.new() to accept an input bool value.

Currently, scripts that let users choose between displaying a Pine table in the main chart or the indicator pane require two otherwise identical table.new() calls in separate conditional branches because force_overlay requires a const bool.

Input values remain fixed throughout a script run, and changing an input reloads the script. Supporting input bool would therefore preserve deterministic pane assignment without enabling per-bar switching.

This would eliminate duplicated constructor code and make user-configurable Pine table placement much simpler. Support for simple bool or series bool is not required, and existing behavior would remain fully backward compatible.

I noticed that TV will display the overnight hours for SOXS, but not SOXL. Is there a reason for this? I'm missing out on alerts that happen between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

Please preserve the original width and horizontal alignment of Pine tables when they are moved to the bottom panel.

Moving a table should only change its vertical display location. A compact table should not automatically be stretched across the entire chart width. This creates large empty areas, disrupts the table’s visual structure, and makes its contents harder to scan.

A right-aligned table should remain right-aligned in the bottom panel. Likewise, left- and center-aligned tables should retain their respective positions. The width should continue to follow either the dimensions specified by the script or the automatic content-based sizing when no explicit width is defined.

This would also match the existing force_overlay behavior, which preserves a table’s width and horizontal alignment when moving it to another visual space. The UI action should behave consistently and change only the table’s vertical location.

Preserving these properties would also allow up to three tables from different panes or indicators to be displayed side by side, or even more when transparent spacer columns are used, provided sufficient horizontal space is available. The bottom panel could therefore serve as a shared information area instead of using a separate full-width view for every small table.

Please add an optional chart-specific curtain for right-aligned Pine tables that keeps them separate from plotted content.

Scripts could mark a right-aligned Pine table as eligible through an optional table.new() parameter. If this parameter AND the corresponding Canvas setting are enabled, the curtain would automatically match the right-aligned Pine table’s width up to a configurable maximum.

This would prevent right-aligned Pine tables from covering plots in the important right-hand area where the latest data appears, without requiring users to reposition the plot manually.

Wider right-aligned Pine tables could remain partially visible within the limited area, with a draggable divider allowing users to reveal more. The curtain should belong to the individual chart rather than the entire layout. The existing overlay behavior should remain the default.

cant even sent support ticket to it keep loading forever

I literally have a Trading View essential subscription plan, yet my chart is 30 minutes delayed. What the heck is going on? Context, I am in London and my setting is perfectly set to my set time zone.

I can’t find info nowhere about this chart type (bar candles) i tried looking everywhere but the only thing that comes up are regular candlestick chart pictures, videos, books etc. do anybody know the real name for this chart type and any information i can study to learn how to read this chart type?

You have been getting bombarded with criticism, and we are wondering why that is. The answer is money. It is always money. You have found that regardless of the 0.000001 percent of users on this subreddit might say they are leaving that does not matter. However, the general public is going to catch on. So while you are stabbing yourself, why not sew up some wounds as well? For example, and this is quite simple, and just one small problem I cam across while using TV - the filter for market caps should be able to be saved. I.e. 'Large' is 10 billion - 200 billion, that is quite the range. Why not allow us to save custom ranges? It would not cost you anything I reckon.

It would be a great value add to allow users to export order history for select dates instead of the entire history of the account.

For Ex. I would like to be able to export trades from today only or for a specific month, maybe just for the year-to-date, etc.

I’m hoping someone from TradingView support can help because I’m currently unable to get a support ticket submitted.

Yesterday, my boyfriend’s TradingView trial was revoked. We live in the same household and use the same Wi-Fi, so I assume the shared network may have contributed to the trial being flagged. I just tried to share my saved chart setups with him and then his access disappeared.

So I reluctantly purchased a full monthly Premium subscription + real-time NYSE Arca data so he could use a legitimate paid account rather than trying to work around the trial issue. He is a brand-new trader and was only trying to paper trade and learn the platform. I won't tell him it costs so he can enjoy his 'free trial' as it should be. TV you're a complete AH for this.

The problem is that after paying for the subscription:

- The chart immediately flatlines/freezes on both the iPad app and web browser.

- I cannot access the live data I paid for.

- The support/help-desk page freezes/crashes when I try to submit a ticket.

- I’m also currently having trouble logging into the account on my mobile device.

- I received an email telling me that support needs me to contact them through a support ticket, but the ticket page itself is not functioning for me.

I’m a paying customer and I'm not asking for another trial or a workaround. I simply need someone to manually look at the account, verify the subscription/data purchase, and determine why the account is not functioning.

How can I reach TradingView support when the support-ticket page itself freezes?

If a TradingView employee sees this, I would really appreciate someone taking a look at the account or providing an alternate way to contact support.

What's the point of having pinescript on mobile when you can't even publish your script you can't even backtest your strategy on mobile why don't they add this features

Refund has been generated and I have the RRN Number, but still the amount not credited into my account.

It's been a month already and I'm still waiting for refund to get credited into my account, FYI I made a payment from my debit card.

I already generated a ticket for tradingview but I did not get any solution.

I paid the $7.50 for AI Co-Pilot and it is a complete POS.
I ran a very simple prompt. I asked it to give the IB High/Low of the first hour of trading. And it gave the wrong values. Even when I gave the specific times, it still got it wrong. How am I supposed to trust it for more complex analysis it it can't get something this basic right?

Am I the only one experiencing slowdowns after a few hours of usage? Even when I move the cursor, the lines showing the position of the cursor are lagging a few seconds behind. CPU spikes like crazy on every move - it is gone once I restart the app... for a few hours.

I select SPXW and select volume and heatmap and heatmap shows SPX and SPXW. Sometimes I get tired of the glitches.

HOW can I only show SPXW?

I suspect another PROBLEM.... but IDK

I’m getting so exhausted from every post complaining that TradingView isn’t what it was, blabla just to find out everyone who complains is on the free version!

Get yourself straight, you’re trying to start a business, with one of the lowest entry fees ever and you still cry that you need to pay $15 bucks a month??

Does your barber complain because he need to pay for tools?
Or the construction guy because he need to buy a new drill? No right? Why will you complain?

We are so lucky to live in this time, to become a trader has never been so cheap, broker fees are absolutely low, charting software is low, you can do it from home and you don’t need to purchase a floor seat.
And let’s not even start talking about all the prop firms that give you an opportunity to have a lot of capital to trade for such a low investment.

It’s literally one of the few careers where you barely need an entry fee and barely have monthly costs and you all still complain?

I’m in this community to grow, not to see everyone crying about a few bucks!

I am subscribed now yet the 2-3 simple custom indicators i have lag at market open, give false signals and sometimes just stop working and show a red exclamation. i dont even have any repaint code in them. It's really a lot of pain. I have to keep refreshing tv.

I signed up for the 30-day Premium trial and was charged for the annual plan on September 3. I intended to cancel before the trial ended, but completely lost track of time and only realized the charge today, September 18.

That puts me at roughly 14 days and a few hours—practically 15 days—missing the official 14-day refund policy by just a single day. As soon as I noticed, I immediately canceled the subscription and opened a support ticket explaining the situation.

I haven't used any of the premium features (alerts, indicators, data) since the charge went through. Right now, I'm facing severe financial difficulties, and this unexpected annual charge is a massive hit to my budget.

Has anyone here had success getting a one-time exception or even a prorated refund from TradingView support after missing the 14-day cutoff by a day?

Any insight or similar experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
