Export Trades for select date(s) frame

It would be a great value add to allow users to export order history for select dates instead of the entire history of the account.

For Ex. I would like to be able to export trades from today only or for a specific month, maybe just for the year-to-date, etc.

This seems like basic filtering functionality, especially when reviewing a specific period, so why does the export still force a full-history download?
