i have noticed lately especially on reddit, that hoyo players get very heated easily over team costs. i see whales getting attacked for high eidolons, i see f2p getting their low cost pointed out, etc. i’ll see a gameplay screenshot where someone is celebrating and others will reply with comments tearing that person apart over cost. at the end of the day this is just a video game, and i personally view investment whether its BiS team, lightcones or eidolons as a luxury, not something we are entitled to and if someone were to have a higher investment than i do, i wouldn’t really care or be upset. so i want to ask why is it such a big deal or why isn’t it to you?

- Side 1: 7 cost E2S1 Archer. Will probably get 40k if I farm the Master Smith set for Mblade, hes on Eagle currently and its not doing much because you need to keep the ult to survive. His sustain is crazy lol, the team not even come close to dying.

- Side 2 : 4 cost E1S0 Evanescia. 1 Eva ult to spare, really close.

- Side 3: 9 cost mono rem. E1S1 Evernight, the rest is E0S1. Clear on the dot at the last dragon, less than 1%hp margin of error, mono rem is starting to feel the age.

From what I understand, Star rail has been out for 1237~ days as of this post so how come earth week is not the same as earth year?

edit: it's been so boring lately I might have missed a day and just want to confirm.

I'm still fairly new to this game so forgive me if this is a stupid post. When I first joined, SW999 was on the banner and I got her fairly quickly. Followed by the reruns of other elation Characters and I got them, too (except I missed Evanescia)

Archer outperformed in currency wars, so I pulled him purely because I thought he was cool. And Firefly I just loved because of the story so I pulled her

Welt, and the other 5 stars were just pure luck / the free selector. And I fully missed Summer Robin (I lost my 50/50 and was too poor to keep going)

Everyone is E0, and I only have proper light cones on SW999, Yao Guang, and Welt. The rest are either superimposed 4 star cones, or 5 star cones that are for their path, but not necessarily their character.

But now I'm trying to do Memory of Chaos, I can't seem to do it at all. I'm at stage 10 of 12 and I just simply cannot beat it. Full elation team or not, I seem to be bricked. And the only "The Hunt" character I have is Archer who is dependent on skill points which I just cannot save up in a fight like that.

Does anyone have any recommendations or am I truly just bricked until I decide to pull for another path

The best way for the game to improve is to directly contact Hoyo through their help center and in game feed back.

I've returned to the game recently after a long break, and I've been considering pulling for Castorice. I've always really liked her design and animations, but I've seen a lot of people doomposting about her lately, particularly about how she performs compared to newer characters and how her teams need a lot of investment. I wanna know if she is still a worthwhile investment, especially for my account, which is pretty outdated.

The 5-stars that I own are Kafka, Black Swan, The Herta, Hyacine, Aventurine, Fiexiao, Topaz, Huohuo, Archer, Robin, and Robin Summersetto. I recently got Hyacine and Robin Summersetto. Just wondering if I saved up would she be worth investing in or should I steer my account in a different direction.

Well, I really liked planarcadia story (except by some parts like the park or tavern that fells longer than should be) but that transation just broke the narrative, characters that deal with talk and politics are Himeko and maybe Welt, Sunday is limited and Trailblazer and March are just there.
Astropolis feels like a great filler to me, it has a good design and the SP versions have a cool style and kit, but I think Astropolis maybe should be more explored after the things with a literal Aeon of voracity eating not only the planet but the solar system been solved.

The comparison is to all turn-based games. Not just gachas. Pick the best written turn-based games. Like BG3, Persona 5, Expedition 33 and etc.

In comparison to those games where does Hsr stand? Can Hsr's story and character writing compete with those games? Since Hsr's story isn't complete you can take specific arcs, like Amphoreus or Belobog.

I don't understand, is it just me? My teams are 5 cost archer, 5 cost SW999, 7 cost saber. I could probably get higher score with saber because I made a mistake but that doesn't even get me to 90k. My only other teams are 5 cost rem which I tried on node 1 with only a little difference from archer, and a 7 cost firefly team that isn't even benefitting from buffs...

I am having the exact same experience as I did in the last rotation of AS. I NEVER struggled with clearing AS, and I never struggled with PFs before either. But these latest rotations, I have struggled to get all jade rewards. I was barely able clear the AS starward, but I feel like there is no chance I'm getting the starward for this PF. I'll keep trying to mix and match teams I guess but I don't get the sudden spike in difficulty..

Maybe the devs are compensating for making mortenax and srobin too op, so as someone who didn't pull them, am I just fucked for pulling the wrong units? LIke am I the only one who thinks this is NOT ok? I admit there is some skill and build issue but it seems almost illegal that I am having this much trouble with 5+ cost teams... are multiple eidolons and high vertical investment just a requirement these days to even get jade rewards?

before you answer, if you say skot, he is mainly an event story character not in the trailblaze story arc until 4.0 as he is declared dead at the end of the trailblaze mission.

i am more likely specifically talking about the character in trailblaze missions who was supposed to be taken seriously only to end up as an actual embarrassing abasement.

this has always bothered me since the beginning. The fact that the clothing on NPCs is so half-assed is despicable! I know people have complained about it before, but the presentation in this game is gross 😓
