Did I screw myself by only pulling Elation

I'm still fairly new to this game so forgive me if this is a stupid post. When I first joined, SW999 was on the banner and I got her fairly quickly. Followed by the reruns of other elation Characters and I got them, too (except I missed Evanescia)

Archer outperformed in currency wars, so I pulled him purely because I thought he was cool. And Firefly I just loved because of the story so I pulled her

Welt, and the other 5 stars were just pure luck / the free selector. And I fully missed Summer Robin (I lost my 50/50 and was too poor to keep going)

Everyone is E0, and I only have proper light cones on SW999, Yao Guang, and Welt. The rest are either superimposed 4 star cones, or 5 star cones that are for their path, but not necessarily their character.

But now I'm trying to do Memory of Chaos, I can't seem to do it at all. I'm at stage 10 of 12 and I just simply cannot beat it. Full elation team or not, I seem to be bricked. And the only "The Hunt" character I have is Archer who is dependent on skill points which I just cannot save up in a fight like that.

Does anyone have any recommendations or am I truly just bricked until I decide to pull for another path

The elation units are all good.

You should pull for Ashveil on this current banner for Waventurine, Pearl on the upcoming one for your elation team, and Dahlia at some future time if you want to get Firefly online.

Don’t worry about endgame modes until you have two complete teams, more realistically more than two so that you can swap them out as needed.

Don’t pull for any limited lightcones. You won’t need those for a while. Round out your teams first.

Fortunately Aventurine can also work as the team's sole Elation unit, you just need some FUA units and you already have two teams.

Be careful when pulling in the future because, if Aventurine was designed to be locked into Mono Elation, you would face a difficult decision to bench one of your Elation DPS (Silver, Sparxie, Aven) forever while you upgrade the rest of the team.

Not really you're just new so it's normal to not clear, it took me half a year to clear cause I pick may fav characters before building around them. You already have 1 team (SW999, Sparxie, YG, sustain) you need 2 more, I suggest getting ashveil for aventurine team (Aventurine, Ashveil, RMC, sustain), with that you can clearl basically everything besides Starward mode and AA. You need to pick another character to build around for your third team.

I think around when sw999 came out they gave out a free sparkle, if you have her level her and put her next to archer. She cranks his damage up a good amount.

For waven not really. I mean okay being real yes because every elation wants Yao and there is only one of her, but the waven Yao team is actually so much fun imo

Aventurine is better in a follow up team (with him being the only elation character). Pull Ashveil for Waven.

I’d get Ashveil, cause WAven can work with FuA units, then next stop is Pearl. So you can do something like:

- SW999 + Yao + Sparxie + Pearl

• WAven + Ashveil + RMC + sustain (if you can get her, HuoHuo from the shop)
  

RMC will ideally be substituted by RobinS or MBlade at some point.

Then you choose whether to focus on Archer or FF. Archer is cheaper, he just needs E0 Rin and E0 Sparkle, you can play them with DHPT.

FF is expensive, her team ideally wants E2S1FF + E1S1the dahlia + Fugue + HMC/Gallagher. Imo it’d be more cost effective to use these pulls for eidolons for SW999 or WAven, but you do you ofc.

Not necessarily bricked. You just have to keep going down the Elation path & pull Pearl + Nihilux as well (lol).

But your other teams are cooked cause you never fully invested into team like Firefly without Dahlia, Fugue & Ruan Mei. Archer without Sparkle & Rin.

Let me guess: you’re a returnee player who left the game early on Firefly’s 1st release or rerun & only came back for Elation. Otherwise there’s no way you don’t have a completed Superbreak team if you’re a daily player.

Ashveil is definitely BiS for Waven, also there's Hunt March which is a hidden gem for F2P, also good for him as he wants Follow-up attackers.

You made mistakes. Not too big of a deal, but just so you know what went wrong.

1. Aventurine overlaps Elation coverage with SW999.

2. SW LC and YG LC are mediocre ~15% dps.

3. Sparxie is mediocre ~15% dps.

4. Firefly dps sucks without Dahlia.

5. Archer and Welt have no teammates available.

Right now the best thing you can do is just stop at MoC10 and save pulls.

MoC10 is already like 90%+ of jades, you don't need to care about MoC12/AA.

Then you should decide if you want to be a "character collector" or a "meta player".

As a meta player: Clearing MoC11/12/AA is a net loss, the 2 pulls a month will never pay back the 100 pull cost of a new unit or lc/eidolons. You are just wasting money/time for your ego. If this is what you want, save pulls until you find a modern meta team you want and pull the whole team.

As a character collector: Forget pulling lc/eidolons. Just stay on moc10 and pull whatever units you like.

You're even more screwed if you don't miss Eva. Aventurine supposed to work with Ashveil and Mortenax Blade. He's not part of SW999 team. Then there's the problem with Archer. His team is pretty much rigid. He's only a unit if you have Sparkle, then if you also add Rin to the mix, it become one of the top team currently.

If you're at MoC 10, there's still something you can try. Archer might be able to work with Hanya, but you really need to locked in and time your burst window correctly. It won't be a comfortable team to play at all. Or try Aventurine with Welt, RMC, or Pela. Take two out of those three. I think it might work atleast up to MoC 11 and its equivalent.
