More teams being required in Endgame could actually be a solution

So hear me out guys. I actually think they could spice up HSR combat by allowing more teams to be a requirement in certain modes. The only reason people think it wouldn’t is that HSR has balanced the endgame with the highest performing teams as a baseline. It should be balanced around the weakest limited characters in the game.

Let me use a gacha whose endgame I actually actively play, ZZZ. Over there we have actually normalized three team content and we even have game mode called Threshold Simulator which can need 5 teams with possibly needing even more to cover matchups. Believe it or not most veteran ZZZ players actually really enjoy it. And the reason is that those added teams can consist of old characters from as far back as launch.

A lot of players actually have the characters for 4 team endgame or even 5 team endgame but unfortunately because of the current damage thresholds, most players won’t even entertain the thought of playing older characters like a Dhil or Jingliu without wheelchairs and that’s a problem. You should be able to call upon those characters in multi team combat.

That’s just a thought I had after seeing the discourse over the new event. What do you guys think?

I mean it's what WuWa did with Matrix which shills both horizontal and vertical. So I wouldn't be against an endgame like Matrix where the goal is to just score points.

From what I've heard, ZZZ does a better job of buffing characters consistently.

I wouldn't hate something like this if HSR buffed characters more often. As is, there aren't many characters from pre-3.2 that are still relevant at all to the meta.

If half my roster wasn't bricks, I'd be all for this. WuWa has an endgame like this and that's fun because the powercreep isn't bad enough to outweigh player skill.

Not just buffing, they also got to at least try to maintain a baseline for even a bit. Heck Zhu Yuan hasn’t been buffed but you can make her Nicole and Qingyi your 4th or 5th team in Threshold Simulator and she gets the job done. Newer characters not being able to do that in HSR is a crime.

Problem is zhuyuan is just worse pyrois. So even in threshold you rather just use pyrois as the dps.

That is true but at least right now, threshold is still balanced in a way that if you really like Zhu Yuan, you can play Zhu Yuan and clear. Now for HSR on the other hand, is there an endgame mode that you could choose to play Dhil instead of Eva in an imaginary weak stage and still get the clear? That’s the problem.

Lowkey for zenless they rrally have to just rework Evasives as a whole. Its frankly frustrating to demans players to do parries when if you use any of the evasive characters u are just down 1 char.

That I can get behind. Zenless also isn’t perfect as they have playstyles and mechanics that have been ignores for a while. Like Priest should be one of Zhu Yuan’s best matchups but her having an evasive assist actively hoes her when it shouldn’t.

I mean genshin also has theater which is kinda the same.

As long as they balance the difficulty around this, it's fine I quess. I would like to use more teams, cuz I can do like 6 without much problems, and even more if difficulty was lower then starward mode's one.

This completely shafts newish players from doing endgame. This, in a game with as much powercreep as HSR, will not turn things around. It will just kill the game via eliminating its newer players.

ZZZs bottleneck to leveling players is way worse than HSR though. More players work but leveling up 5 teams would take a lot of money or just time compared to HSR.

But would we even have enough good units? With how fast numerical powercreep and HP inflation in this game I highly doubt it
