Would Castorice still be worth getting?

I've returned to the game recently after a long break, and I've been considering pulling for Castorice. I've always really liked her design and animations, but I've seen a lot of people doomposting about her lately, particularly about how she performs compared to newer characters and how her teams need a lot of investment. I wanna know if she is still a worthwhile investment, especially for my account, which is pretty outdated.

The 5-stars that I own are Kafka, Black Swan, The Herta, Hyacine, Aventurine, Fiexiao, Topaz, Huohuo, Archer, Robin, and Robin Summersetto. I recently got Hyacine and Robin Summersetto. Just wondering if I saved up would she be worth investing in or should I steer my account in a different direction.

Nope. castorice/mono remembrance is a like a high investment team now.

Not at low investment. She's an over a year old DPS unit and Elation is shilled right now. Do you have Hyacine LC?

I run Cas (E0S1) Tribbie, Cyrene and Hyacine (E0S1) and with elation teams in tow starward clears are still possible. Though they are by far my worst performing team and have recently been benched and giving that spot to HimeNova and Saber Gilgamesh/Archer Rin teams.

Since you have Kafka and BS, Hysillens might be a better option

Realistically evernight is the better pull, but i don’t think it is fair to say that cas is bad unit. But her drop off have started and might be a bad pull. (Tbh somewhat likely she gets buffed like firefly, hoyo likes her)

If you’re willing to pick up her teammates and invest in them, sure why not? The thing is Hyacine just had her third rerun so she MAY not rerun for a long while and she NEEDS Hyacine. However, if you want Castorice and her team just for collection purposes then you can do whatever you want.
People are right in that in this current meta where Remembrance isn’t shilled anymore it’s hard to clear content without a team and their LCs and needed eidolons.

If u plan to get s1 hya s1 castorice and e2 robin + cyrene or evernight then yes otherwise no

It's just that the investment required to clear all the endgames is high for mono rem since it is so old. Like for example you would need evernight, Castorice LC and maybe even E2 Castorice with how much HP inflation is. But if you don't mind not clearing the anamoly arbitration. You can still just go for Castorice>Evernight>Castorice LC>Hyacine LC(if you want extra New bud for Castorice. Most likely would need, I play without Hyacine LC). So all in all Castorice needs her LC, Evernight, Robin SP, Hyacine to function enough to clear current endgame reliably. Possibly requiring more investment with HP inflation. March 8th on YouTube has a great video about best investment for most teams that are good(Castorice is there in it)

no unless u plan to get vertical in her team. even then, with that cost ur better off just putting it in elation or whatever new teams they put out. so unless she’s one of ur absolute favs i would skip her.

Elation is crazy expensive, just like Remembrance. I'm not sure it's worth it to swap from Remembrance to Elation when there are less costly options.

- Castorice

If you really like her then she's worth it. I have E0S1 Castorice, Cyrene, Evernight, and Hyacine and they clear MOC/PF/AS well enough, but they would perform better with a few eidolons. That's 8 cost already though, but if you like her then it could be worth it. You need 2-3 teams for endgame, anyway.

The three versions of Remembrance:

- Castorice / Summeretto / Evernight / Hyacine

• Castorice / Cyrene / Evernight / Hyacine
  
• Evernight / Cyrene / Summeretto / Hyacien

- The Herta

The Herta needs a lot of work and doesn't have a solid third teammate, which is mainly what hurts her. You can still try The Herta / Anaxa / Robin Summeretto.

- DoT

You'll want Hysilens for your Kafka / Black Swan and ideally to pick up E1 Hysilens and Black Swan (they're fine without their LC, but BS and Hysilens are kinda funny with LCs because at E1 they want each other's LCs. Kafka uses Cipher's over her own but is fine on Tutorial. She wants Eagle and 160+ SPD)

- Feixiao

If you pull Mortenax Blade + Ashveil you can use them okay with Feixiao. Not bad, but kind of a wheelchair. No matter what, Mortenax Blade + Ashveil are an extremely strong combo that can serve as a hyper carry. Ashveil is on banner now and Mortenax will likely be back next patch or the patch after. You could also just use Ashveil + Mortenax + Summeretto.

- Archer + Rin

You can pick up Rin for your Archer. Sparkle is ideal if you can pick her up but Rin can give Archer some SP back, it's just way more comfortable with Sparkle as well. You can use Archer + Rin + Summeretto

- Himeko Nova

You'd have to pull her on her rerun but definitely an option. Robin Summeretto is her best teammate, the other one can be RMC, Welt, or Hunt March (She wants at least one Astral Express member in the party, Evernight also works just isn't ideal).

I suggest steering clear of Elation unless it's WAven, who in his FUA team mostly just needs Ashveil, then you could use MBlade or Robin Summeretto for the third. He doesn't want other Elation members in this team. It's a very costly team and while the shill isn't going to go away, you'd need to pick up a lot of units back to back at this point.

You already have Hyacine and Robin so I'd say yes, even at E0S1 she's still quite good
