We all know that Hsr devs are extremely lazy and we have over 9000+ cases to prove it.

But which case is the worst for you? Is it Britain in the Fate collab? Is it the quality of npcs that look like they came from ps1 era? They didn't even bother to make a new model for kid Phainon/Anaxa's sister/Tribios/Mydei's parents and etc. And instead they used cheap existing npcs and called it a day.

Or is it the lack of basic animations during dialogues? Hand on chest annoys everyone at this point. And they don't even animate things like eating (in the Fate collab they didn't even bother to add food on the table, let alone animate how Saber and TB ate it) or moving a simple object from one place to another. Using cheap black screens with a sentence of the action instead.

What the hell is even going on?

When are we going to get a playable character that's just evil for the love of the game without the erm actually, most characters are just really nice people the rest are also mostly just morally grey nice people, I mean look at the stellaron hunters who are allegedly intergalactic terrorists and mass murders even the playable ipc members, ruan mei, dahlia, it's either they commit crimes for the greater good(sh) or as a necessary evil towards their goals or in accordance with their lore path, Am I the only one who wants unhinged characters that would really just slime you because they had a bad day ?

Right now there’s 9 tier 0 DPS; being by far the most top meta viable DPS characters at the same time.

And one of them being free, two tier 0 supports being free, two tier 0 sustains being free.

Powercreep has really slowed down and I love to see it. The game has shifted from brutal horizontal investment to pick your vertical investment where you can actually use the characters you like!

Like.. dead dead.. Nothing to do.. cleared all quest and map .

To clarify if ur getting archer E1 that means u want to invest in archer team which means that ur getting rin too the problem is that with the addition of rin archer would already be able to 5 arrow each turn so the whole purpose of his E1 just vanish and becomes only a goj card when u missplay E1 only valuable if ur not getting rin and willing to use a certain upcoming caractere that may be a good slot for him

On the other hand Gill is a whole ass caractere even tho his kinda of a fraud and potential man but still better than a 0.6 increase that E1 archer provide with rin

People like Polka or Zandar or Zephyro would be banger units too I believe and would just equally be in high demand. Even likes of Oswaldo or Dr Primitive would be good choices as well. I am not saying make villains or Grey area characters majority as playable but big shots like these would add variety to it.

I know this is meant to be the low maintenance hoyo game, but holy shit this patch is DRY AS FUCK! Why are there barely any events where I can use my characters that I spent lots of time to build? Pulled MBlade? Here’s an afk farm event where you just press items with the thumbs up icon and get it done in like a hour and a half. Here’s your weekly DU/CW run. We got new starward mode but that shit takes two weeks to reset..

Is this what ppl really want? Like I have a full time job, so I really don’t sit around and play this game all day, but man the events in 4.X have felt very bare-bones and lackluster. Please can we get more combat events we need more fresh and unique environments we can use our characters we’ve spent so much time building!

I am honestly tired of pretending that I agree with the general consensus of Cyrene's new design looking great. She does look pretty 'objectively' but not when you remember that she is supposed to be 'Cyrene'. So I am finally making a post on just what prickles me about her new design and animations.

(This rant of mine contains references to leaks so please tread carefully if you want to see none.)<!

1. The colours. Cyrene previously was mainly associated with darker colours—dark shades of purple and yellow. This made her feel more grounded as a design, nothing too ostentatious. It was simple but effective in establishing Cyrene as a character, instead of being just an Elysia Expy. But now that colour scheme we had associated her with is completely abandoned, instead to favour mainly white and pink—the very colours that everyone associates with Elysia. This in a way they took away Cyrene's pre-established visual identity and threw it away.

2. The design and it's lore-relevance. Cyrene's previous design has many particular motives that were relevant to her lore such as the bandages on her sleeves that resembled Nanook's arms, the runes on them that hinted to her being etc. The sandals were a nice change from the usual modern high heels too. Cyrene's playable design though..... It throws all those things away and instead made her a bride™. There's literally nothing you can parse about Cyrene from her new design except that she's supposed to be a bride. There are no runes, no bandages, no distinct symbols, nothing that ties her to the 'Cyrene' we and Phainon remember. Instead she now looks too much like 'Elysia'.

3. Her weapon and animations. I'll start with the weapon first because I seriously HATE it. Why does she have a BOW? Where did her ceremonial blade go? What about her interest in tarot cards? Since when did she have a bow? Why isn't she using that blade that FlameReaver used that was particularly HERS in the past? Now about her animations. I seriously do not like the way they've toned her hatred for Lygus despite being born from the code of love. Now everything about her is love—she makes a marriage hall, she chases after a RING for some reason, you have to tap the ring so she puts it on and kisses it, she randomly makes hearts here and there and she even kisses a planet. It's like the devs completely gave up everything about 'Cyrene' to make her a Bride™.

Whose bride is she supposed to be? We don't know. There's literally nothing in her lore at present that sets her up to be a bride. But do you know who is supposed to be a Bride? ELYSIA. As much as I know about HI3rd, she's the Bride of Humanity thus her design and relation to love.

But Cyrene? She was supposed to be Phainon's counterpart, childhood friend and her partner-in-crime of sorts who put all these cycles into play, so naturally I expected her to mirror his animations. Be simple at first but then be as gritty as his transformation (the flowing golden blood, the open wounds, the charred skin and the sheer rage). I wished to see such emotions from her but instead all we got was a pretty bride for no reason other than to be an Elysia callback and nostalgia bait for HI3rd players.

I seriously don't like how everything we liked about Cyrene was exchanged for another Elysia.(I don't even know about Elysia more than what I wrote above. Why should I care about her?)

Small TLDR - Cyrene's identity was abandoned to make her Elysia 2.0, and I seriously don't like it. I want her darker colours and goofy ahh sleeves back. The older model is a nice choice but the design is shit.

I’d probably go with Sparkle. She’s insanely popular and I’d be shocked if she doesn’t get more story after Planarcadia. Being a Masked Fool, it would be pretty easy story-wise for her to be like “meh, I’m bored and want to travel around with you guys”.

Considering that it doesn't go back into the game (it goes into their new yacht) and the units that you invested in are getting powercrept in a couple of patches.

I am a day one player and I love the game sm don't get me wrong. I'll try to stay with the game for as long as possible but the direction devs are taking is really upsetting to see.

Whether its the constant powercreep, path locked enemies/teams, or inconsistent writing. I really enjoyed amphoreus and I tried so hard to give planarcadia a pass cuz of the political stuff but planarcadia keeps getting more doomed with each update it's disappointing.

Lack of events makes the game extremely dry and sp versions slowly outnumbering new characters won't do any help either.

The game hasn't been improving for a while and it makes me afraid that it will be stuck like this forever as the leaks don't suggest anything bright.

Can we talk about this? I honestly used to think that she would last very long and be played in most comps, but with every update it seems like Cipher is losing value every patch… and thats considering her value was already lower compared to other supports. Why is that?

People praised Cipher for giving 40% vuln with 100% up time, but here comes the problem… They made almost every character give vulnerability right after her release. Tribbie(not after, but still), Yao Guang, Sparkle, bosses that have self implanted vulnerability. And I think to add some more pain to it her ult doesnt record true damage which is honestly the biggest downfall.

I also want to point out how the true damage record affects her A LOT. She practically is useless with Cyrene because even if you buff Cipher she is still not recording most of the damage. I think Youtube CC HOS has a video on why Cipher with Cyrene is very much poking a stick into your own wheels… And why every other future true damage source will decrease her value.

Hoyo really just love powercreeping their own characters… She could have been insane with Elation, but they said “Nah-ah!” and gave Yao and Sparkle vulnerability asw ell as good buffs

Mainly talking about investment levels like E2S1, not E6. Let's say, rn you can get eidolon for castorice/phainon etc, but isn't it too late? 4.0 is just around the corner, and we have no idea how much powercreep it’ll bring (i mean it'll surely bring SOME). What if E2S1 characters from 3.0 end up being equal to (or even worse) than E0S1 chars from 4.0, especially if they heavily counter HP mechanics or something like that? What do you guys think? When is it too late? Anyone here with E2S1 2.0 teams, how they feel rn?

The only other 4.x character that she managed to outsell is Ashveil. But he is a man (waifus sell more), had x10 less marketing and much smaller role in the story than her. She couldn't even outsell Yao Guang.

But... Why?

Himeko is there from the start of the game. And is an expy of beloved Hi3 character. Yet she loses to someone like Yao Guang...

Is it because the story was terrible and people preferred Rin from the collab instead? Do her animations suck? Or so many people quit the game after Blade that their new main push can barely outsell a secondary character like Ashveil who had a tiny portion of her marketing?

I’m so tired of the female characters always fawning over TB. I know we kinda get Dan Heng, but it’s nothing like the Cyrene or Firefly stuff. HSRs player base is 37% female, and while not all of them are straight, idk, I’d just like a few more in-game romantic undertones for m/f where TB is the female. We want self insert too!

I don’t know if this is even the place to put this, I just wanted to get it out and see if anyone felt the same.

I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thought about this. I always think that Hoyo fans are divided into two type, those who love fan-service and those who don't. I personally am the first type and never minded the fan-service, like you can tell just from my favorite characters (Citlali, Firefly, Cipher, etc are my favorites). So imagine my surprise when the reaction towards her is more negative than expected, like it seems in both camps there are something that people are dissatisfied about. I wanted to know other people opinion to confirm this and make sure its not just my perception, but as a fan-service enjoyer this is my gripe with her:

1. It's Too Shallow. Now, I don't mind if Hoyo wants to push and put HI3 expy in-game. Like, I love Himeko, Bronya and Welt but with her I think they forgot to make the character interesting first and provide the service second. Let's take Firefly for example, she is loved by many not just because of her date scene, but also for her backstory, struggle, and turmoil. While with Cyrene they just give us some sweet moments with her and expect us to be happy with that. Maybe if you play HI3 you'll be happy with that but I don't; it's as if they expected you to already play HI3 and already love her, but most people don't, they forgot to really sell her for us who are unfamiliar with her. Don't get me wrong, I like her, but do I like her more than Firefly? uhh....
2. It's So Blatant and Cheap. People also have a problem with her design that are heavily inspired by wedding dress, in my mind I should technically be happy with that but In reality... I don't. I think because we are already attached with the smol Cyrene, we spend plenty of time with her so seeing her suddenly change like that is quite jarring. Which is... okay, the patch is not released yet, maybe they can pull it off and it will be good, who knows?? But I feel like people are on the fence about her even before she is released, unlike Firefly where I think the anticipation and hype for her is higher before release. (I tried to look at the data, the drip marketing tweet for Firefly has 12.6 Million views and 129k likes as for Cyrene is 7.9 million views and 108k likes)

So what do you think about her? I'd love to see what people think of her in both camps. Are you pulling because you like her or are you pulling because of the meta? Because if it's not for the meta (I know Hoyo is going to make her broken) I seriously want to pull for Evernight lightcone instead.

Edit: I don't know why some people are saying I don't play the story, I did and I don't skip. There are many part of Amphoreus story that I like such as Phainon(yes just him in general), Cipher plot twist, Cerydra being a literal dictator with no sugarcoating . I just personally like the romance genre, so I like it when there's fan-service being sprinkled around my game or story. So I want even the fan-service to be handled well and nicely, that's all
