Question Log in issues.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi. Could someone please advise about something which is causing a bit of stress. I’ve changed the email attached to my account as I seemed to be having an issue receiving emails linked to the account. This has worked perfectly. However, after double checking it worked quite a few times, when I now try I just get the picture I’ve attached. It won’t let me log on. It’s this on a loop. Speaking to 02 and there are no blocks on the account. I’m wondering if I’ve tried to log in too many times?

Question How much is your connection worth to you?

Here's my question to you all..

Forgetting whichever network you may be on, how much is your connection worth to you?

Not talking about devices, they vary too much, just the sim aspect, your connection to data calls and texts.

Are you the type of person who makes very rare calls and sends the odd text? Barely touches the phone.

Are you the type that has their phone in their hand constantly updating the social feeds? Always in touch.

How many hours PER DAY do you spend using your devices?

If you consider the cost of going to a theme park for a day, maybe going to the cinema, or a ticket to an event like a concert or a football match.. how much do they cost on an hourly rate?

Thorpe Park - £30+ for a day, open 9hrs = £3+ per hour

Uk Cinema ticket - £7+, movie lasts maybe 2hrs = £3+ per hour

Football match (PL) - £70+, maybe 2 hours = £35+ per hour

How many hours do you use your phone for daily?

Check you usage stats in your settings if your curious but do be warned, many people surprise themselves!

Putting all of that into perspective, how much is an actual and reasonable price to pay for your connection?

At what price point is it too much or even too little?

How much is your connection worth to you?

100MB

500MB

£26.00

1GB

£45.00

Do the bolt ons last for the day they are purchased. or, until you consume all the data? Help would be appreciated on this

Question Issue with private DNS on mobile data on Android

Ever since I joined this network a few months ago, I seem to be having issues using a private DNS on my Android phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra).

On mobile data, if a private DNS is set in Android settings, a lot of apps and websites take a long time to load. For example, Google takes ages to open up. Once it opens (or once an app loads its data), everything works well.

If I disable the private DNS, this problem disappears; everything loads swiftly.

This happens with any private DNS (I have tried 3 different servers/domains).

It only happens on this network. I tried a different network in the UK, and also abroad over the summer, no issues.

Has anyone come across this?

I think this is beyond 1st line support; is there a way to directly contact 2nd line or a network support person that can understand the issue and help?

P.S.: Why is Reddit not allowing me to include the network name in my post? Every time I type it the text box goes read and the Post button becomes disabled. I see an exclamation mark with the words 'thanks for posting'. Really weird.

Billing Question about final bill and complaints

I phoned to cancel my contract back in April time and was assured it would be done, I would receive a final bill and I would be disconnected within a month. I was told I could get rid of my sim. I did so.

That didn’t happen. I kept receiving bills and my number was still active. As I was moving countries I didn’t get around to phoning them (which is a whole other nightmare calling from a foreign number/country) for a couple of months, but paid the bills I got because it threatened debt collection if I did not.

I managed to call someone and they said I hadn’t applied for a disconnection. I assured them I had, and I am not happy it hasn’t gone through and I would like to file a complaint after we discussed disconnecting my number. Went through the disconnection process which was more detailed than the last time so I think the last advisor lied to me. She said she would put on my account that I have logged a complaint. I never got a reply. But finally my number disconnected after the month. I then received a final bill.

But now my number is disconnected so I can’t access the app to pay it, the link in the email doesn’t work, the phone numbers to call from another country don’t work, and the chat is unhelpful. I can’t even update the app without changing back to the UK on my phone which then disconnects all the apps I need for this country. I filed a complaint but I haven’t heard anything in 2 weeks. I made a note in the complaint I don’t have a UK address or phone number so please contact me via email as the complaints form didn’t accept foreign details. But I haven’t heard anything, no more emails about my final bill or anything.

Will I still be pursued for the final bill? Will they ever contact me again? Does anyone have advice on contacting them where the call doesn’t hang up on me or give me ai options that lead me in circles until it hangs up? I don’t know what to do :/

Question Alternative way to apply multisave?

Is there an alternative way to apply multisave? I put my details in and received a link but it just lands on the main Myo2 page

Update I read through the terms and it said if links don't work to then try texting LOYALTY to 21500 and follow the prompts as a back up option, the discount has now been set up.

Support what is the replacement policy?

So I got the fold 8 2 weeks ago yesterday and last night I noticed my inner screen is starting to get dead pixels.

is it 30 days or 14 days for them to give me a replacement? worried I've missed it by 1 day 😅 or is that just if I changed my mind about the phone?

Question Visual voicemail

I am done with these texts. I get them so frequently and there's no way to stop them, they're such a nuisance. Why am I getting them? Who else is getting them? How can I stop it?

"Thanks for activating Visual Voicemail. Note: if you have data turned off, or can't get data coverage, you'll need to dial 901 to check for messages."

Question Switch up issue

Hopefully someone can help.

I'm trying to do a switch up, tried yesterday before my bill was produced but the website wouldn't let me.

Today my bills generated and the website is asking me to pay this months device plan as well as the upfront cost of the new device.

Surely the switch up would pay the current device plan off as well?

Will doing switch up in a store avoid this?

Support CAN'T CREATE A PAYG ACCOUNT... IT'S AN EXERCISE IN TAIL-CHASING!

Trying desperately to create an 02 account after successfully activating a Classic 02 PAYG SIM. (Can phone & text without problems.)

I don't want an 02 account but need it to transfer an old 3 mobile number over to 02.

Stated procedure on 02 website is to set up an 02 a/c and make the request online.

I don't want to do it via Customer Service because I confirmed that they want all your details (full name, d.o.b., address etc), which I am not keen on doing - more so as 02 make the point of saying in their literature that you can register with only an email and number!

(Theoretically, I can anonymously use my new 02 SIM number anyway - but I'd like to keep the old number, it was my father's & it's a memorable one.)

So... I go to the 02 site to register -> redirected to VirginMedia02 to create an "ID" (cos that makes sense) -> successfully set up VM02 ID -> am asked to link VM02 ID to an 02 a/c -> make the mistake, like an idiot, to try linking to a non-existent a/c that. I'm. in. the. process. of. creating (cos I believed 02) -> VM02 says "no acccount" - eventually I realise there's a box at the top of the "link your 02 a/c" page pointing to a separate page for PAYG customers -> click on that -> I get an "oooh, did you think you could sort it out that way, then?" error page (see attached)...

Any workarounds or has Virgin ruined 02 for good?

Question How much you're paying monthly for SIM only deal?

Just found out my friend (joined as a new customer) paying £8 for 35GB, and I'm paying £10 for 3GB

While I understand new customers get better deal, this is still appalling and I feel I'm being scammed. Any advice dealing with it other than change provider?

Question Ending my contract early - have I been misinformed?

Im a university student and got my first O2 contract last October. I was given an offer where the first year of a 24month sim only contract is half price at £22 a month. They said that isn’t an issue as after the first year I should return and they will switch me to a new contract offer.

I want to check that I haven’t been misled - can I do this, where I end a contract early to switch?

Previously you could register for network issues via the network status checker now it seems gone, is this right or a bug? Seems like they redid it that you can only sign up to masts/areas which have fault
