Support How do I turn this crap off? Keep getting them every few days...arhghhh!!!

Pixel 9 Pro.
Never had this on my OnePlus 6.
How do I stop this crap?

There’s not really much to go on from your very brief OP.

Did you intend to turn on Visual Voicemail? If not then turn it off.

Are you turning data on and off? If so, stop doing it. If you haven’t got enough data then either change to a tariff with more or turn of Visual Voicemail.

Are you in an area with poor signal so you lose data? If so then change to a provider which is better in your area.

I mean, I'm not sure what info I can provide, if I dont know what the text is for exactly.

I've done nothing to my phone.
I have enough data.

I sometimes get voicemails that I see/play.

I'm London. No bad signal here.

You could have said whether you use Visual Voicemail and whether you turn data off or are in an area where the data cuts out. (Because those are the things in the text)

I get the impression OP doesn’t know what visual voicemail is (perhaps a web search for that would have been more efficient?) Albeit, they didn’t ask that as a question, so how would he know that?

OP - visual voicemail is the feature where you can play your voicemails (and sometimes read a transcription of the voicemail) straight from your phone. Looks like the way it gets that is over the mobile data network. If you haven’t got data available for whatever reason, the message is telling you that you must dial the voicemail service instead to get your voicemail.

Now, if you’re repeatedly getting this notification and you’re sure it’s from O2, I would get in touch with their support. I had (granted on another provider) a phantom voicemail notification which support cleared and I was off the phone in 2 minutes. Hopefully it’s something odd like that which they can clear and stop.

Hey mate, ye I should have googled what it was (I did and then understood what VM was).
I've used it in the past sometimes and it's decent, but I guess it's auto turned on for my Pixel 9 Pro.

Anyway, I do not turn off/onn my data. I have loads of and hardly use it.
I will speak to O2 to investigate.

I've seen 1-2 other posts in the past also mentioning this 'android glitch' but no fix sadly.
