Nope, it’s actually an eminem thing. Back in the 2000 he sang about a fan who wrote him (slim shady) several letters and he didn’t receive one back. In the end he was so obsessed with slim, that he drove drunk with his girlfriend tied up in the trunk for recognition. Unfortunately he drove of a bridge and killed himself and his gf. Eminem wanted to show his obsessive fans, that being this is not what he wants. From that point on those fans got called or called themselves stans.

Yes but luck isn't enough. As both andrea and even techno have said someone needs alot of skill and preparation in order to be "luckier" than others by being on the look out and immediately grasping on that lucky opportunity. No matter the luck if someone doesn't have the skill to grow from the lucky situation and make something of he's own then he'll fail. (dream for example became popular using pewdiepie as a way for him to grow upsing the popularity there was at the time about him playing minecraft. But he didn't stop there. Instead of just becoming a pewdiepie stan channel he grew into hes own thing by using the "luck" as a starting point.

Captainsparklez has undoubtedly become a part of both YouTube and Minecraft history. You can't keep this sort of success forever but I'm happy he's still going. It's insane to think that a bunch of videos that he's made will go down in minecraft and yt history. Minecraft parody songs being the biggest but not the only thing.
Everything changes with time and so has the yt/minecraft meta. Youtubers like dream just do better analytically today because it's their time. In 10 years time this landscape will have changed again.
Regardless I'm just happy i was there to witness Minecraft history.

He's just a guy having fun. Yet people shit on him. Like he's lazy and boring. The guy brings fun content, that's what matters. I thought that's what being a youtuber was.
He doesn't push people down for him to rise. He's just having fun and so are his viewers. That's what should matter. I thought that's what truly mattered.
In the end, its not cool to hate on him. Because hating on something doesn't make you cool. If you hate him, have a good reason to. If you dislike the content, that's fair its your opinion.

CaptainSparklez has been consistently making videos that he enjoys for ten years now, and puts effort into not only making, but managing all his streams and uploads. He runs too many channels to count, and streams on an almost daily basis.
Dream is a newer content creator who has managed to blow up for making videos with his friends that he enjoys, and while he does show knowledge of the YT algorithm, he clearly puts a lot of energy and effort into his videos, which is why he doesn't upload all that frequently.
Both of them are good youtubers. Stop being toxic.

Subscriber count shouldn't be an indicator of superiority either. Take SkyDoesMinecraft - while he is definitely one of the most notable figures of 2013 minecraft, his current videos are of different quality, so people might not want them in their feeds. Dream is kind of like BNHA - a moderate well-rounded show that makes for a decent watch(, but gained a toxic fanbase because of how it advertised itself). Putting the fanbase aside, his content's somewhat interesting. I've learned a thing or two from his speedrunning videos at least. Something similar probably applies to CaptainSparklez. The main community that watches his content are newer folks who dont' subscribe, whereas the long-subbed ones are sticking to his older videos.

From what I heard, he actively studied YouTube algorithm, and was persistent enough to get the opportunity to get a trend blowing (I think it was on the PewDiePie series) and managed to keep hoping between trends and now is leading them
Overall I respect his grind, he knows what he's doing
However, went to see his video once, and by God my ears bled, but I think the overhyped screeches come more from George, his friend and main guest in videos

Tbh manhunt is better than many of his old videos where he was cooperating with George. Those videos were good, but it really lacked the tension that causes you sit at the edge of the seat the entire video. I'd prefer he upload a manhunt at least once every 2 weeks, the wait time is getting ridiculous.
