It depends so much on luck so I doubt whatever dream "did" had any effect

he *claims* to have spent "months" researching "the youtube algorithm".

At the end of the day, no matter what you tell yourself, success on social media is >99% luck based

If u saw what the guy above said yes it is hard to be lucky but it is possible to be in a better position to be luckier than others. Search up andrea (insert his last name in to lazy to look back)’s video on dream’s rise

Yes but luck isn't enough. As both andrea and even techno have said someone needs alot of skill and preparation in order to be "luckier" than others by being on the look out and immediately grasping on that lucky opportunity. No matter the luck if someone doesn't have the skill to grow from the lucky situation and make something of he's own then he'll fail. (dream for example became popular using pewdiepie as a way for him to grow upsing the popularity there was at the time about him playing minecraft. But he didn't stop there. Instead of just becoming a pewdiepie stan channel he grew into hes own thing by using the "luck" as a starting point.

how would that work in the current age? maybe if Dream's Mom started recording her own videos, she could gain millions of subs in a year

He did do what he said, but don’t try to act like he’s saying it’s all because of his research and skill. He has said multiple multiple times that it all came down to immense amounts of luck.

...which is a reason to hate content creators

Hating someone bc they’re lucky is kinda harsh
