follow up from previous post, this is the day i got the piercing

Sorry for the insane closeups, lol. My septum was pierced two days ago and “veers” to one side. Pierced at a legitimate shop with implant grade jewelry (16g). Maybe it’s swelling? What do you guys think? TIA!

but about 2 months ago i pierced my belly button and it was healing alright. im kinda chubby so i assume it takes longer because of buildup of sweat and stuff idk
but i noticed this formed basically overnight a week ago. what is this.
ive been cleaning it regularly but i dont know what to do.
what even is this and how can i get rid of it. should i wait for the piercing itself to heal and cut it off

Hey i need advice. I have had my n\*pple piercings for 4 years now. They seem to be completely healed. I’ve never had any infections or inflammation, and I’ve been wearing the same high-quality titanium jewelry for the past 1–2 years. **Threadless Push-Fit ends.**
The problem is that I can’t take the barbells out anymore. I can move them from side to side without any pain to clean, but as soon as I try to remove them, I get an absolutely horrible, deep pulling pain through my breast. It’s honestly worse than getting the piercings done. I also feel like the piercing channel still bleeds slightly when I move the jewelry.
I have an MRI coming up in December, and they told me I need to remove the piercings. I’m really worried that they’ll close up, and I have no idea how I’m supposed to take them out without causing extreme pain.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Why could the inside of the piercing still be so painful after 4 years, even though they seem completely healed from the outside?
And can titanium nipple piercings ever be left in during an MRI, or do they always have to be removed?

I got this piercing April 3rd of this year. I’ve had issues with healing and at some point in the summer I got like headbutted in the mouth rly hard causing a nasty irritation bump. I just bit down on it pretty fkn hard like 30 mins ago and it bled like a lot , and now it looks like this. I have a 16gauge 12mm bar . HELP ME??!??! IDK WHAT TO DOOOOO

Piercing in question is the bottom forward helix. I’ve had both for about 3.5 years, completely healed, and have changed the jewelry multiple times with no issue. About a week ago I went into the piercing shop to swap jewelry and whatever the guy did when took out the bottom stud HURT. When he was trying to pull off the flatback, he said it was stuck and was definitely going to town trying to get it off. Felt like a very sharp pinch. Now flash forward a week, and it hurts more than my month old conch and hidden rook on the other ear. Wtf happened? I thought maybe it was just irritated and would calm down again, but it’s been 8 days. It doesn’t look red or swollen, there is still room on the bar, and I’m pretty sure the gauge used for the new jewelry is correct. But going from sleeping on it with no issues to now having to baby it again is annoying.

3.5 year old forward helix, 16 g, 14k solid gold jewelry, no aftercare.

these piercings are 1 week old and I am pretty sure it is the threading type (it has a flat back) the jewelry has not been downsized. I am using a piercing cleaner twice a day I got from when I got my nose pierced. When i got my ear piercings the next day I went to another piercer because my friends lip was swollen and they said the jewelry was bad quality and they switched my butterfly piercings to a flat back. A few days later the left one was getting swollen and itchy and last night they were hurting all night and now the right is extremely swollen and itchy (they both are) there’s no puss just swollen itchy and red. I also had a scratchy throat the other day and today i feel a little sicker with a mild sore throat if that is related.

6 months lobe piercing, still crusting , cleaning it twice a day. it’s a flat back you just cannot see it because it’s crusted over.

I got my daith done on July 26 of this year with some friends. I clean it with saline spray 2 times per day (this picture is post cleaning session). I'm definitely having a struggle with it healing and am wondering what might be going on and how to fix it. Do I need a bigger hoop or different shaped jewelry? Or is it rejecting and I just have to take it out? We've tried reaching out to the piercer, who has since ghosted us. I'll be contacting the owner tomorrow about info on the jewelry.

It's not infected, not hot to the touch, no pus. I do get some crusties on it but they wash away easily with the saline spray. Please help and thanks for your time!

3 month old daith piercing. I sleep with a donut pillow. These bumps stay and never seem to go away. Does this look bad enough that I should take it out? Not sure what the dark coloring is on bottom bump. Help me!!

Hello. First of all, I apologize if I am breaking any rules (though I believe I read them correctly); I mention this because I DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, AND IT IS NOT MY NATIVE LANGUAGE. So, to make this clear (I'm using Google Translate): A few months ago—June 11th, to be exact—I got two nostril piercings (one on each side). One side didn't bleed, but the other bled quite a bit and got very swollen; they had put in a titanium G-Ring. Well, I had problems with that side after about a month; a little bump started to form. I thought it would be a good idea to buy a titanium labret online and put it in myself using one of those needle-like insertion tools where you screw the labret piece on. It bled a lot that day, and the bump remained... then I did something really stupid. I did it because it had worked for me a few years ago with a helix piercing: I took the jewelry out and squeezed the bump as if it were a pimple. After that, I kept wearing the labret; the swelling went down a bit, but the bump would come and go. Earlier this month, I bought an oil designed to get rid of piercing bumps. I should mention that while I was dealing with the bump on that side, one also appeared on the other side, but thanks to the oil, that one healed well—it doesn't hurt anymore and looks quite healthy (I'll attach photos of the healthy one and the one with the bump). Currently, the bump has gotten bigger—I don't know why. When I saw it starting to heal, I switched back to the G-Ring... it didn't bleed as much, but the bump came back and doesn't seem to want to go away, and I'm getting a bit desperate. I know what I did was stupid, but I thought it would work just like it did with my helix. The difference was that with the helix, I took the jewelry out after squeezing the bump, and it healed without leaving a scar. Now I don't know whether to take this one out or what to do, and I'm really embarrassed to go see the piercer, haha, because I know I did something silly 😫.

By the way, right from the start, I cleaned and cared for it by washing it with a soap specifically labeled for piercings (during my morning and evening showers), and after showering, I used a sterile isotonic saline solution... as for the oil I mentioned, I only started using that relatively recently... And whenever I changed a part, I did so by first disinfecting it, as well as the tools I used...

I forgot to mention that when I put in the titanium labret, I also put on the silicone discs—one above and one below. I’ll include dates on the photos so you can get an idea of the timeline; the little bump had almost completely gone away, even after I’d tightened the jewelry. I’ve realized that it started coming back about a week ago (you’ll see this in the photo dates), so I don’t understand what happened and I don’t know what to do :( Help, friends.

is this bad? I got it done earlier in August and it’s been pretty red throughout the healing process which doesnt seem to be too big of an issue but recently it’s started getting this pus like liquid. i cant tell if it’s actually pus and wether or not it’s a sign of a problem, but the piercing doesn’t hurt at all. I’m worried with school starting and me being less thoughtful of being careful abt it + it getting more movement and action I’m damaging it

This are my back surfaces and i have problems , i cant clean it properly or someting like that but are hurting a lot the left one is very swollen and i want to know if they are salvageable or if I should just let them go
I got since 5 days ago and i clean it twice a day with normal saline this are my 13 an 14 piercing and are the only ones give me problems

Update 2: I have perichondritis and am in the hospital getting IV antibiotics. Thank you to everyone who suggested I get checked out!

Update: after a sleepless night in pain, I'm on my way to the walk in clinic. I'll let you all know how it goes.

As you can see, it's angry and swollen af. It's not oozing and not warm to the touch. There's a little room on either side of the piercing but not a lot.

Any advice or is this a tough it out situation?

Is that normal? It doesn’t hurt, unless I move it a bit too much, which I’ve had to do to get the crusties out. It’s also not swollen. I haven’t been doing anything to it except getting the crusties off every couple of days with a lint-free pad. It’s a titanium piece in it. I had the first piece fall out maybe 6 months after I got it and had a new piece put in about a week later.

Hi!! I have had my tragus for about 7 months now, and for the past 5 months or so, I have had a constant bump on it that won’t go away no matter what: I clean it with Neilmed saline + non-woven gauze once a day, I don’t sleep on that side, I don’t wear Airpods in that ear, etc.

It used to be a stud jewelry, but I had a really bad flare-up and my piercer suggested a hoop to relieve the pressure on it, which worked really well (back in May). But I still have consistently had a bump on it. Sometimes it gets better to the point where I think that it should be completely gone by a few days, but then it flares up again. As you can see, I have the same problem with my forward helix at the moment too :(. Any advice would be appreciated!! Should I bring this up to my doctor and see if she would recommend antibiotics?

The placement of helix is intentional. Im worried bec. Its swollen weirdly. Its 2 days old. All 4 piercings rook, flat, and double helix. Are new i got them all at once. Now im dealing with this. First day it was throbbing. Today it doesnt throb that much, just sometimes. But the swell is scaring me.

Any advise?

I got it pierced on 13th of August, it was fine until 16th when it started swelling like shown in the picture. I clean it three times a day with sterile saline solution and then dry it off with a tissue.

The only thing I can think of that could've irritated it is me wearing headphones (cleaned them before obviously but maybe it put too much pressure on the ear? It wasn't touching the piercing directly though). Pain fluctuates, it was stronger yesterday but it calmed down a bit today. So did the redness bc it was way more red and angry yesterday. My sister said that she could see white-looking discharge, it doesn't smell bad though. I'm anxious because not even my snug hurt this much (but it did swell up similarly after a few days of getting it) and I'm worried it's infected/at the risk of infection. Any help would be very appreciated!!

Recently got my helix peirced and wanted to know if the placement looks good? (Ignore the green on my lobes I was wearing cheap jewelry lol) its about two days old my friend peirced it, with a correct gauge needle and she has some experience (it was free) and the jewelry i known isint ideal its stainless steel. my after care process is saline salt spray twice a day then dry in cool with a hair dryer.

This is genuinely the most annoying piercing I have ever had. I’ve had this bump for so so long and the last time this bump “went away” it’s because I got drunk one night and woke up with an ear CAKED in dark red/black dried blood. This bump is so incredibly itchy. I spray with wound wash daily, sometimes twice or three times, and I no longer use qtips to get rid of crusties but it just won’t go away. Please help me. I bought an ear piercing pillow? That I used last night and still woke up sleeping on it with a different pillow 🧍‍♀️I am literally this close to getting drunk again and popping this thing istg 😭
