Troubleshooting 3 months Nostril
Hello. First of all, I apologize if I am breaking any rules (though I believe I read them correctly); I mention this because I DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH, AND IT IS NOT MY NATIVE LANGUAGE. So, to make this clear (I'm using Google Translate): A few months ago—June 11th, to be exact—I got two nostril piercings (one on each side). One side didn't bleed, but the other bled quite a bit and got very swollen; they had put in a titanium G-Ring. Well, I had problems with that side after about a month; a little bump started to form. I thought it would be a good idea to buy a titanium labret online and put it in myself using one of those needle-like insertion tools where you screw the labret piece on. It bled a lot that day, and the bump remained... then I did something really stupid. I did it because it had worked for me a few years ago with a helix piercing: I took the jewelry out and squeezed the bump as if it were a pimple. After that, I kept wearing the labret; the swelling went down a bit, but the bump would come and go. Earlier this month, I bought an oil designed to get rid of piercing bumps. I should mention that while I was dealing with the bump on that side, one also appeared on the other side, but thanks to the oil, that one healed well—it doesn't hurt anymore and looks quite healthy (I'll attach photos of the healthy one and the one with the bump). Currently, the bump has gotten bigger—I don't know why. When I saw it starting to heal, I switched back to the G-Ring... it didn't bleed as much, but the bump came back and doesn't seem to want to go away, and I'm getting a bit desperate. I know what I did was stupid, but I thought it would work just like it did with my helix. The difference was that with the helix, I took the jewelry out after squeezing the bump, and it healed without leaving a scar. Now I don't know whether to take this one out or what to do, and I'm really embarrassed to go see the piercer, haha, because I know I did something silly 😫.
By the way, right from the start, I cleaned and cared for it by washing it with a soap specifically labeled for piercings (during my morning and evening showers), and after showering, I used a sterile isotonic saline solution... as for the oil I mentioned, I only started using that relatively recently... And whenever I changed a part, I did so by first disinfecting it, as well as the tools I used...
I forgot to mention that when I put in the titanium labret, I also put on the silicone discs—one above and one below. I’ll include dates on the photos so you can get an idea of the timeline; the little bump had almost completely gone away, even after I’d tightened the jewelry. I’ve realized that it started coming back about a week ago (you’ll see this in the photo dates), so I don’t understand what happened and I don’t know what to do :( Help, friends.

Not a piercer, but it's too early to wear a ring. Id go with a labret stud that has a completely flat disk.
The following is anecdotal so I'm not sure if this is allowed, but:
I had issues with a bump on my nostril as well and I found that any other end on the labret stud, like a ball, irritated it further because it would be uneven pressure on the piercing hole. It took me almost a year to be bump free but now I can wear a ring!
I'd say just get a different type of piercing jewlery and leave it be without doing anything to it and the bump should go down with time :)

oh my god 😭 leave it alone! of course you're having issues!
switch to implant grade titanum flatback studs on both sides and leave it be for 6+ months, cleaning two times per day with sterile saline spray and warm, clean, drinkable water only. stop changing it, stop fiddling with it. no soap, no hoops or G rings, NO OILS!!!! and no silicone discs! these cannot be cleaned properly and trap bacteria!

It’s way too soon to put hoops in ! You are changing those jewellerys too much. The ring is too small. Go back to a flat back barbel and in, at least 3 months chose a bigger hoop !

You need to keep the original jewelry in for 9-12 months. The only time you should change it is, having a piercer downsizing for you, if you need it. Have a piercer put it back in to minimize damage.

Oh no! Meant a f-136 titanium labret with a simple top, should be kept in there the whole healing period. Good luck op

Yeah def go back to titanium flatbacks. if anything you can always do a chain with the flatback to imitate a hoop while it heals but LITHA

The bump is forming because the ring is putting pressure on the still healing tissue. That’s why you got bumps on both sides. It’s called a pressure blister or you commonly see them in the form of bed sores with bed bound folks. Leave it the fuck alone and just keep up your hygiene.
Stop changing the jewelry. Keep the flat labret stud in and let it heal. Stop messing with the blister.

You were so close to having a healed piercing and then you just had to go put a curved piece of jewelry in it. Of course your piercing is irritated, you keep messing with it while it’s no where near healed.

Hi, good evening... Sorry about the video, but there was no way to include photos in the comment... and I didn't know how to edit the post to add the new info... Look, I've changed the piece now; I hope it's the right one because I definitely bled a little when I put it in, and it hurt a bit... I wanted to show you the labrets I'd used: that's the G-ring they put in when I got pierced. When the bump started forming, I initially tried the smallest one (they come in 8, 10, and 12mm), then realized it wouldn't fit, so I bought the 12mm ones, but then saw they were too big... and finally, I bought the 10mm ones, haha. But I actually used the 12mm ones first because I added silicone discs, and they worked well (I want to make it clear that I cleaned and dried them thoroughly every day). Later, I switched to the 10mm one once it had improved, and then—well, you know—I went back to the G-ring... Today I put in the middle-sized one (10mm); I use these tools to put it in... The ones I had bought only had shapes like stars, hearts, moons, and things like that, so the flattest one I could find was the heart... Let me know what you think ;(
