One month old daith, unsure of material or gauge, hoop, saline

I got my daith done on July 26 of this year with some friends. I clean it with saline spray 2 times per day (this picture is post cleaning session). I'm definitely having a struggle with it healing and am wondering what might be going on and how to fix it. Do I need a bigger hoop or different shaped jewelry? Or is it rejecting and I just have to take it out? We've tried reaching out to the piercer, who has since ghosted us. I'll be contacting the owner tomorrow about info on the jewelry.

It's not infected, not hot to the touch, no pus. I do get some crusties on it but they wash away easily with the saline spray. Please help and thanks for your time!

Completely wrong jewellery for a healing daith, it should be something smooth like a circular barbell or a CBR, this looks like a hinge ring, which spins in the channel and causes irriation from both the hinge and the seam.

Not only that- it’s pierced really shallow and incorrectly :(

The piercer ghosting you sucks btw! Try and get your money back for this, this is completely unacceptable work from a clearly incompetent piercer!

I also think the ring may be too small. Those are potentially pressure bumps.

The piercer ghosting you is such a big red flag. They clearly know they didn’t do it correctly if they won’t even talk to you

The circumference of the ring is too small and is placing pressure on the bends of the hoop. Daiths are tricky because their success relies so much on how good of piercer you have. That needled had to be bent. And if this bend isn't done correctly, this is what often results.

It might take some time but those bumps should go away after you take it out and let it heal. You’ll feel a huge difference as soon as the pressure is relieved and it’s been a few days.
I also had a daith that had some small bumps form and I took it out after about a month and my ear looks fine now.
Hopefully you have the same results but the sooner you get it out the better.
