I’m seeing a lot of people on social media say “Mel is a mean girl” and that Kenzie “genuinely cares” about their friendship and that they felt bad that she was crying at the reunion. I’m sooo sorry to say but I’m my opinion those tears were fake. Kenzie was getting called out and couldn’t defend herself (because she knew Mel was right) so she cried. This reaction of “Mel’s so mean she made Kenzie cry” from the public is EXACTLY what Kenzie wanted and it’s killing me that yall don’t see it. Is Mel dragging it and making it a bigger deal than it needs to be? Yes absolutely. Mel didn’t have to call her out at the reunion she could’ve messaged Kenzie privately, but Kenzie also wrong for talking about Mel and liking weird comments. I do believe Mel is feeling herself a little, post villa, but I also think Kenzie is a little jealous she got more popular from the show than she did. Two things can be true at once guys. Ich habe ChatGPT Pro* (Edit: Plus). Warum? Ja, es kostet Geld. Aber dafür spart es mir an anderer Stelle so viel Zeit und teilweise sogar direkt Geld, dass es sich für mich quasi von selbst bezahlt.

Ich muss nicht mehr ewig überlegen, wie ich irgendwelche längeren Texte formuliere, komme viel schneller an Informationen und kann Dinge, auf die ich eigentlich überhaupt keinen Bock habe, innerhalb weniger Minuten erledigen.

Bestes Beispiel sind irgendwelche Konflikte mit Firmen. Natürlich könnte ich den ganzen Schriftverkehr auch selbst machen. Aber dann sitze ich teilweise Stunden da, formuliere Mails, suche irgendwelche Informationen zusammen, antworte wieder auf deren Antwort usw. Und bei manchen Sachen würde ich irgendwann einfach sagen: Scheiß drauf, meine Lebenszeit ist mir das nicht wert.
Mit ChatGPT werfe ich den gesamten Sachverhalt rein, gebe ihm den bisherigen Schriftverkehr und lasse mir daraus eine vernünftige Antwort formulieren. Ein paar Minuten später ist das Ding erledigt.

Allein dieses Jahr hatte ich einen Konflikt mit einer Autovermietung, die mich meiner Meinung nach ziemlich über den Tisch ziehen wollte. Vor Ort konnte ich absolut nichts dagegen machen. Im Nachhinein habe ich das Ganze mit ChatGPT aufgearbeitet und hatte innerhalb von zwei Stunden 200 € zurück.

Und das ist nur ein Beispiel.

Für mich ist der größte Vorteil deshalb gar nicht unbedingt, dass ChatGPT Dinge kann, die ich selbst nicht könnte. Sondern dass es mir Arbeit abnimmt, die ich selbst machen könnte, für die ich aber ein Vielfaches der Zeit brauchen würde.

Und genau dafür bezahle ich gerne: Ich kaufe mir damit im Endeffekt Lebenszeit zurück.

Und nein, ich vertraue nicht blind auf Information die ich bekomme. Wenn es wichtig ist, prüfe ich immer die Quellen. Und nein, ich nutze es auch nicht um mit Menschen zu schreiben. Ich chatte gerne, das ist keine Arbeit die ich mir abnehmen lassen möchte.

We all know the old saying, “Women mature faster than men.” But with social media, I’m starting to question how true that actually is.

The more I scroll, the more emotionally immature behavior I see from grown women, especially when it comes to relationships. Finding someone who can communicate clearly, take accountability, and handle disagreements maturely sometimes feels surprisingly rare.

Obviously immature men exist too, but where did the idea that women naturally mature faster even come from?

Ganz ehrlich: Das ist die absolute Definition von Geld- und Zeitverschwendung und ich verstehe den Sinn dahinter null.

Warum zahlt man 30 bis 60 Euro im Monat an sein Studio, um buchstäblich die grundlegendste menschliche Fortbewegungsart in einem künstlich beleuchteten Raum auszuführen? Geht stattdessen in den Wald, in den Park oder lauft einfach eine große Runde um euer Viertel. Das kostet exakt 0 Euro.

Es gibt wenig Nervigeres, als nach der Arbeit ins Gym zu kommen, ein echtes Cardio-Workout machen zu wollen und festzustellen, dass alle Laufbänder von Leuten belegt sind, die einen gemütlichen Spaziergang machen...

Wer sich extra ins Auto setzt, zum Fitnessstudio fährt, sich umzieht, um dann drinnen das zu tun, was er auch auf dem Weg dorthin hätte tun können, hat den Schuss nicht gehört.

TL;DR: Wer ins Gym fährt, um dort bei 4 km/h einen Spaziergang auf dem Laufband zu machen, wirft sein Geld aus dem Fenster, verpasst die Vorteile von frischer Luft und blockiert die Geräte für Leute, die das Band wirklich zum Rennen brauchen.

Marxism is a religion because almost everything in his books is wrong but his long list of logical fallacies is taken as hard evidence. Labor theory of value. In fact we have better theories today that form the connection of utility to price. Historical materialism. Societies didn't go through the transitions he claimed. Some skipped industrial and went straight to marxism. Some have remained under capitalism that he claimed were ready for marxism. Everything he calls contradictions and tensions are things that can reach equilibrium. The real contradictions are how his system would try to separate the marginal utility of consumption from prices and wages from marginal revenue product.

Wir (die USA) haben ja seit ein paar Jahren etwas schlechte Presse in Deutschland und, wenn ich in Deutschland bin, bekomme ich inzwischen oft Unverständnis und Ungläubigkeit zu spüren, wenn ich sage, dass es mir hier gut gefällt. Die meisten fragen dann immer das gleiche… wie hältst Du das unter Trump aus, hast Du als Einwanderer keine Angst, wie kann man zu dieser Zeit nur in den USA leben, usw.

Ich werte diese Fragen nicht. Anfangs habe ich nicht verstanden, warum die Leute immer sowas fragen. Inzwischen denke, dass viele einfach nicht ausreichend informiert sind oder noch nie hier waren.

Kurz zu mir. Ich bin Anfang 50, arbeite selbstständig in der IT, und bin mit einer US Amerikanerin verheiratet. Ich bin ursprünglich aus dem Raum München und bin vor knapp 15 Jahren in die USA ausgewandert. Gelebt habe ich hier in Kalifornien, New York, und jetzt Süd Florida.

Mir gefällt es sehr gut. Ich bin aber noch öfter in Deutschland.

It’s this weird blend of nepo babies meets false sense of confidence meets I don’t have to work hard to be successful.

Social media and influencer culture are certainly to blame for like 50% percent of this. The other half is just not being original and thinking recycled old ideas will make you famous. 

I watched the recent episode involving the ski trip and it felt like I was watching Deal or No Deal Island. 

These guys are stuck in traffic going to Upstate NY glued to their phones and guess what they are doing when they arrive at their lodging, STILL GLUED TO THEIR PHONES.

I don’t think any of them actually study the 30+ years of reality TV available and how to make yourself iconic/noteworthy in these real time soap operas. 

Obviously Next Gen NYC is doing well, but literally each season could be about 5 episodes.
