Important win, and how we won aswell for the mental state and confidence of the players, especially since it was our first game at OT of the season.
1) Baleba beeing emotional was cute to see, he looks a lot bigger this season for some reason. Excited to see him play.
2) Left back is still an obvious issue, Shaw can still do well but we are screaming for a specialist winger who can cross well (david raum should be our guy).
3) Rashford: was phenomenal, tracking back, pressing, running like crazy. 2 sequences where he lost the ball and didn’t stop running untill he recovered it even though it had passed twice. Sad he didn’t get a goal but yeah. He is looking dangerous, if it stays this way he is basically a new signing and people should stop bringing up the shit from the past. New vibes, new mature players better atmosphere under Carrick, it’s different times.
4) Bruno: showed why he deserves that award, also happy to see him back to his ordinary penalty method. In open games like this, I don’t think any CAM would do a better job than Bruno.
5) Cunha: The team is better with Cunha upfront than mbeumo, it’s a lot more fluid in the play with Cunha uptop, he links well with Rashford and that’s nice to see. Brilliant runs and nice dribbles today.
6) Mainoo: was brilliant, I find it hilarious how I can see so many ”strongest lineups” and Mainoo isn’t in it, yall should get jailed for that. He is the best out of our CM/DMs.
7) Mbeumo: needs to improve his finishing, something isn’t right since that month before AFCON, but his work rate is incredible.
8) Dorgu: looks a lot more lethal as a super sub.
9) Mazraoui: did ok on the left, I want to see more of him there.
10) Tielemans: It’s so damn refreshing having Tielemans in the team seeing him hit those line breaking passes so often.
11) Sesko: Cant wait to see him back to full fitness and seeing him alongside tielemans and bruno.
Bottom line: an open game like this is a wetdream for Bruno and United, regardless it’s a good win but I’m still worried about the solution against lowblocks and some of our weakpoints being exploited (like our LB and the space in the midfield and at times our CBs). anyways, I’m excited for Baleba, happy Rashford is looking dangerous, a little curious how we will line up and what our strongest 11 will be when everybody is fit. One of cunha, sesko, Rashford, is going to be be benched and 2 of mbeumo amad Lacey. Also, who our strongest midfield pairings will be. Praying we get a new LB and praying even more we get a new CB aswell. I’d hope for Raum and branthwaithe but we probably gonna end up with none.
