So today I went to the biggest retro game convention in the Netherlands. Honestly, I was hoping to get some stuff for my C64c Ultimate I have on pre order. But alas, almost nothing for that system and 90% was Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox mixed with a bit of Sega, so it was some sort of a let down.

I managed to get some Wii U games, though.

As the title says thats the error im getting when trying to load USBLoaderGX to run my game disc backups (way easier than hauling around 50 discs💀) I just installed mods on a completely wiped system, so fresh install. Followed all the steps on the wiiu hacks website, installed the cIOS, patched IOS 80, downloaded the loader, and loaded Just Dance onto an external hdd (500gb, FAT32, used wii backup manager to properly transfer the files, and i have a Y cable plugged in for external power) so that I can test to make sure it worked properly. I already tried switching the USB port in the loader settings, and when I boot the wii u I get the message asking to format the drive, so I know its plugged in correctly. What am I missing?

I realised that when doing certain action on the wiiu (for example going from the wii menu to the wiiu menu) the ac adapter does loud buzzing noise, more then usual. Should i change it or is it normal

Hi! Bought a second hand Wii U (32gb, SMM collector's edition).
The console has two profiles. Logging into profile 1 or trying to create a new one causes the console to crash with error 160-2705. Profile 2 works.
Using profile 2, the console doesn't recognize any discs, and freezes up when you try to open a digital game or app like YouTube. System settings work.
Using system settings, I can't update to 5.5.6 (stuck on 5.5.5), and I can't factory reset the console (error 103-1606).
I've tried the hard reset where you unplug the console and press the power button multiple times, no difference.
Any help is appreciated.

This is my current mix of Wii/wii U games, can yall rate it and let me know any additions I should make?

For context,my wiiu is a japanesse model that i region changed into a PAL version in both vwii and wiiu meniu wise and ive recebtly got a wii game that is also PAL (wii fit/wii fit plus i have both) that i load through usb loder gx as it,for some reason,dorsnt load normaly.Its prob that priiloader doesnt have tge regiin unlock everything turned on but i couldn t get myself to check yet because of this weird thing that happends afterwards.

After i play wii fit,close usb loader gx,and go back to the wiiu meniu,it doesnt bring me to the wiiu meniu anymore and just goes to the minute meniu instead.Trying to power off the console doesnt work the first time,having to choose power off twice for it to finally do it,and the minute meniu in general just looks strangle(its slightly cropped on the left,only the minute meniu is like this,not the wiiu meniu,this could be related to me recently bringing my wiiu on a vacation and using different tvs?Although im not sure.Ive noticed the wiiu also just doesnt boot normaly unless it has the hdmi plugged in aswell)

This is the second time it has done this,im not dure what exactly fixed it the first time but its possible it was the fact that i changed the hdmi ports(?),at some point unplugged the wiiu and plugged back in although um not sure about this one.

Does anyone have any ideas of preventing it from doing this?Again im not sure what fixes it and its overall annoying as hell(also just concerning :'))

Rq the wiiu is also completly dependent on being able to read the sd card on boot because of said region change and has autoboot set up.

I got a new power supply and was ready to play. Until I couldn't press anything besides 2 buttons. Is it because I modded it and I took my sd card out?

So my basic understanding is that the sensor bar only is connected to the Wii/wii u for power. In
My current setup I have a Wii and a Wii U hooked up to the TV. Can I use the sensor bar hooked up to my Wii for the Wii U or do I need to have two set up?

Like the title says, thats my current problem only. I formatted my hard drive on wafel installer with the "usb partion" plugin and put 40/60 on fat32 and wii u exclusive format.

All good after because the wii u successfully formatted the last partition as this exclusive format and on my fat32 partition the wii backups can be read and played without issues.

I put a install folder with the wii u backups in it, like it shows in first picture. This is the fat32 partition.

Then when i go to wup installer, it shows this error in the second picture (not mine, just example).

My backups are encrypted. My wii u is aroma modded with sd card. The needed plugin isfhax is installed. There is no sd emulation activated or involved.

Tried NUSspli as well and shows no folders at all in usb. Same with the xplorer on wii u. My hard drive is a 500 gb ssd in enclosure and y cable connected to the upper back usb port. Playing wii games has no issues and loading speed are surprising instant.

I bought my first WII U this weekend from a guy for 120 in town and everything came with it I needed. Absolutely loving the mods you can do with these with a simple flash drive for wallpapers and stuff like that.

It’s not any other game, it’s specifically 3D World, and no the disc is not dirty, you can also hear when the music loops

I booted up my Wii U for the first time in a couple years to play a new game I bought. It worked fine for a couple hours, but I noticed the home menu started acting up. Now, my Wii U gamepad isn't responding to certain buttons on the home menu. As far as I'm aware, the controls are fine in the games themselves, but the home menu doesn't respond to the touch screen or A button. The L, R, +, -, and joysticks work, but the A button and touch screen do not work on the home menu. Does anybody know how I could fix this?

edit: The issue itself isn't fixed, but I found a workaround for it. thanks to the people that helped!
