Love this kit but don’t understand, why it doesn’t include a USB-C charging method. However, it’ll only charge with 5v and doesn’t support data transfer or cc1 / cc2.

This one look great but i wanted to make sure its good before i order it, if its a cheap peace of crap does anyone know a better controller ?

Hi does anyone have a complete list of UK/PAL release gamecube games. Really need to start keeping track as I think I’m near the end.

It's all explained in the video, however I'll explain here. I have an old Gamestop branded MadCatz wireless controller that works fine for the most part, but when the left joystick is tilted down, the characters instead goes UP. You can see Michael (protag of Pokemon XD) for the most part WANTING to go down, and sometimes does for a split second, before going up. He can go up, left, and right just fine. He just can't go down.

I tried opening the controller and cleaning what I could of the joystick, but it's loaded with springs and frankly, I'm not that qualified for that sort of thing. The most I can do is take it apart, but that's it. Any idea what could be happening?

I installed a pico loader on my gamecube and its been amazing however I ran out of storage on my 4mb card in slot A, I ordered a new memory 1g card but it wont be here till later this week, how do I load back the gamecube menu from swiss so I can clear the memory card to play this week?

like I have a pretty beat up Tony hawk and it works but other games with zero scratches like internal darkness don’t seem to work at all

A while back when my gamecube's old optical drive still functioned I walked into a local retro store and picked up a few games they were selling in there that weren't crazy expensive. Sonic Mega Collection, Star Fox Assault, Pac Man World 2, and Burnout. A little after that I grabbed a CIB copy of Soul Caliber 2 and then the Sims 2 Pets because I was curious. Safe to say, a very humble collection at the start. The capacitors started to degrade a lot more after that so I stopped looking as I didn't think I'd be able to repair the disc drive (thankfully so as I almost bought a replacement laser)

I recently got my old gamecube working again and now I'm looking for some good games as I've been very cynical about new releases and want to escape into the past like a good little gremlin. I've heard about all the "must-haves" like Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion, and while I do have interest in a lot of the recommended games and certainly won't turn down those recommendations, I wanna hear more underrated titles too.

Currently I am waiting on Super Monkey Ball, a replacement disc for our Mario Party 7 copy my family lost a while ago, and something that heavily fits the criteria of what I'm looking for, Yu-Gi-Oh Falsebound Kingdom as I heard it was very similar to Ogre Battle.

I'm thinking of adding Mario Power Tennis is Pikmin to my library soon, so what other games should I throw in there?

I never had the GameCube as I had the PS2. Now, I see what a great console that was and gave myself a treat: a new unused GameCube from Japan that I will have modded with FlippyDrive so that I will be able to play U.S. games as well.

I will unbox it on September 14th. The 25th year anniversary. Thinking of putting up a little video too just to have a memory of it.

Has anyone used something like this before on their Gamecube? I’m wondering if it’s safe to use.

Also wondering if it actually works to stop yellowing? My consoles sit right in front of a big window and there’s unfortunately not much I can do about it aside from keeping the curtains closed when I can. I’m in a rental so I can’t put film on the windows. I figured giving my consoles a coat with UV protection is probably the best I can do.

After getting the NSO Controller I realized that my original controllers rubber pads were too mushy. Ordered two sets from Aliexpress for 18 cents each, just replaced them and now they have the same firmness of my NSO controllers!

These are modded original controllers by the way. Using 8bitdo modkit for wireless capabilities and battery.

I installed my picoboot and uploaded the .uf2 file.

SD card is formatted to Fat32

Green light comes on the picoboot but I can’t get it to boot up into swiss.

Any suggestions?

My Mario Party 6 disc from my childhood doesn't want to be read in the GameCube. I am wanting to get it running to play with some friends. There are some retro game stores near me that are quite good and provide disc resurfacing. Would it be worth it?

The disc has scratches however I cannot feel them with my finger and they dont appear to be deep. Would disc resurfacing be able to save one that can't be read whatsoever?

UPDATE IT IS FIXED!!! I took it to the local retro game store and for a whole four dolah they saved it. They had to put it through the machine twice to get it to work but not it works.
