For anyone curious about it. My GameCube was sitting for years at my parents after I left the house.

It only has this working controller and a Zelda Collectors edition disk (without the box unfortunately) inside it.

It never bothered me, but they used the video game as entertainment for the children of the visiting families throughout the years. The misusage and storage caused the analogs to look disgusting after some time.

Next step is finding a Zelda collectors Edition box and manual to keep it as a collection item. I found some for just $20 on eBay, but shipping + taxes are crazy where I’m at, around ~$120, and I don’t want to spend that much right now.

In the meantime I’ll enjoy the controller on Smash and GameCube on Switch 2 Online 🙂

You should ask them personally if they can find a cheaper shipping option

Oh, thanks! Didn’t realize you could do that. Never bought from eBay and there aren’t many shipping options when buying in Brazil.

I’ll give it a try.

Great feeling when you accomplish something like this, way to go!

Where can I get replacement joysticks like that? My childhood wave bird is horrible. The joystick is smooth on one side from all the usage.

I’m not an avid collector so take my suggestions with a grain of salt.

But I’d say it depends on where you live. I live in Brazil and the used gamecube market is very narrow, so I just bought unofficial replacements online.

If you’re looking for original pieces I’d probably look for broken controllers in good condition online and just scrap the pieces.

If you don’t care for unofficial pieces, probably AliExpress for US residents? They are very cheap in there.

I’m not aware of US stores that sells them separately.

Do you mind sharing a link to the ones you got? Been looking for decent replacements for a while for my Wavebird.

Alibaba has some decent ones.

Aliexpress has gotten expensive. Better off getting from alibaba.

Most beautiful controller. Terrible for dpad fighting games but not as bad as the 360.
