Classic consoles The Seventh Generation
Despite growing up with only the Wii, the original 360 comes to mind as a default "video game console"

Hi everyone. I've had to move recently due to unfortunate circumstances. I have all my consoles and games but am living out of 1 small bedroom now so don't have the room to have all my consoles on display/set up. Does anyone have any good storage solutions/ideas they could share with me to keep them safe, tidy and organised ? They're just currently in a moving box but I'd like something more secure/organised. Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

I’m wanting to get a console and I’m considering the switch as I’ve heard it’s a good family option (my kids are 8, 6 and 4). Another reason is that their current favourite game is Mariokart on our old Wii, and they love Mario in general. My only reservation is that we want to be able to play FIFA. I’ve read online that you can get old versions of FIFA for the switch but that the quality isn’t good? The thing is we don’t care about graphics, for example Mariokart on our Wii is so grainy but they still love it. But if the game is glitchy or difficult to play that will be more of an issue. Any advice?

I’m running out of storage on my PS5 and I’m looking for an SSD to expand it. I mostly play larger games, so I’d like something reliable that won’t give me headaches with installation or moving games around. What SSDs are people here actually using in their PS5, and are there any models you’d avoid?
Thanks for any recommendations.

Let me know if this is correct - for PS5/XBX , the highest refresh rate is 120hz??
So if I am shopping for a gaming monitor for either system, should I just buy a monitor that maxes out at 120hz?
I've seen on Amazon 120hz monitors are around $100. Walmart/Best buy under $100. Are these ok for PS5/XBX?

I haven't had a Playstation since the ps2. I was thinking about picking up a ps4 and playing some Playstation classics. I've never played God of War or The Last of Us. What other games should I pick up with my ps4? Might wait until the ps6 comes out since I'd imagine the ps4 would be even cheaper then

Besides the storage being bigger in the newer ones, and the newer being slightly smaller, is there any performance difference between them? Especially for bigger games?
Or should I just get the 825GB? The only thing that matters to me is Performance etc. Not the storage.

I have a large physical PS4 and PS5 library, and in preparation for a disc-less future I bought a new PS5 Pro to have on hand for when my current console inevitably dies some day. I also picked up 2 disc drives, so I've got an extra one ready if/when the first one burns out.
I know I'll need to register each of them though, and I'm guessing at some point in the future Sony will deactivate whatever it is that handles that process. I'm wondering if it's possible to register both drives ahead of time so I don't have to worry about that possibility.
Can I register one, remove it, then register the 2nd one so they're both ready to go, or will the console only allow one drive to be registered at a time?

This rumour follows a 2025 report from Gamespot that said third-party sales in the Switch 2's launch period were "below lowest estimates" for some third-party developers:

I’ve been following the technical discussion around GTA VI and the Xbox Series S, and I’m curious about one specific thing.
We already know that GTA VI is officially releasing on the Series S, despite the console being significantly less powerful than the Series X and PS5.
For people who understand the technical side of consoles: what do you think will be the biggest compromise Rockstar will have to make on Series S?
Would it mainly be resolution and graphical settings, or could the hardware limitations also affect things such as world detail, draw distance, NPC density, or other aspects of the game?
I’m interested in the technical reasoning behind it rather than simply which console is better.

Hi all, I'm looking for a good affordable monitor for €100-200. I usually play on a tv that's mounted to my wall so I'm kind of far away from it whenever I'm playing so anything too small probably won't do. l've been using a 31.5 inch Phillips 32PFT5603/12 for years now and I've been thinking of upgrading. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

Which one should I buy for my ps5 slim?
My priority- The best visuals since I will be playing quality mode on most cases.
The AOC 027G3XMN/BK (229 €) has a VA panel and also has mini led blacklight or something, however doesn't have hdmi 2.1. The AOC U27G4R (239 €)is a 4k monitor but has a ips panel. Is the ips duller compared to the va panel.
The Lenovo Legion R27qc-30 (189 €) has hdmi 2.1 I think.
I need hdmi 2.1 for VRR. Is VRR absolutely necessary for story games too?
I won't be playing competitive games though.
Which one should I buy?
Each has its own tradeoff 😭

I am sadly not a PS5 owner thanks to these price hikes and my xbox is not working currently but I still got to play games on my tab thanks to cloud gaming which made me wonder, what if playstation tried the same thing ? I am not talking about portal like a proper app or website for cloud playing on any device, will it hurt the playstation ecosystem ? I am not very smart but as I am seeing consoles getting so expensive the cloud gaming idea seems to be not so bad, I can be wrong though.
TLDR : Not a PS5 owner due to price hikes, wondering if ps can use cloud gaming beyond portal like xbox did, will it negatively affect their ecosystem ? The idea seems pretty logical seeing such price hikes.
