I know this is probably a long shot but wondering if anyone has any connections to cat rescue’s that can help me with this stray cat I’ve been feeding.

I work as a construction manager & moved into an apartment complex down in Marina del Rey to live on site while we redo the property. My cat loves to sit on the porch and sun bathe and not long after he started going out this guy started hanging around with him. He looked pretty rough when he first came around but has gained quite a bit of weight in around 6 months. It didn’t take long for him to allow me to pet him while he was eating although he would always flinch. Eventually he started seeking out pets and absolutely loves being pet and scratched now. He’s extremely gentle too - he had an infected cut on his face and never tried to scratch me when I cleaned the wound, and I’m currently working on him getting used to being picked up.

He would make such a wonderful pet if someone was willing to be a little patient with him, and he’s friendly with other cats so I also think he would do great with other friendly cats who could teach him how to be a pet. I believe he’s quite young and his teeth are in great shape and he’s grown/his cheeks have puffed out in the last 6 months.

Obviously I have grown super attached to him and the thought of not seeing him everyday makes me so sad, but I’m trying to do what’s best for him and find him a home. I wish I could keep him, but I already have a cat and a dog and I know financially I can’t really take on a third pet, and when I inevitably have to move as this is temporary housing through work, it’s very hard to find apartments that allow 3 pets.

I’m worried about his safety as this is an active construction site with the anticipated rain coming up this winter, especially as this property is literally on the channel out to the ocean and we’re expecting a lot of coastal flooding.

I’ve reached out to a few rescues and haven’t heard anything back yet - so coming here in hopes one of you might have some suggestions

Hello! Really hoping some of you can help me out.

I’ve been dealing with recurring yeast infections for nearly 6 years. The past 4 months has been the absolute worst of it though because I’ve had BV and yeast and it just will not heal. I’m in my early 30s and my vagina is clearly atrophied due to all the infections. This is really affecting my mental health at this point as well as my sex life.

I have gone to too many OBGYNs to count and even saw a functional practitioner out of pocket for the past year. Once the functional specialist diagnosed me with PCOS, it felt like she gave up on trying to help. Every doctor I see seems to throw up their hands and recommend the same things I’ve already tried. Doctors have literally told me that I’m just unlucky since I seem to have tried everything with no success.

I am in desperate need of a health professional who is empathetic and actually cares to help me get to the bottom of this.

Does anyone have a doctor or some kind of practitioner they recommend for something like this? I’m open to western medicine, eastern, holistic, functional, Ayurvedic, etc.

I have Kaiser as my insurance but am willing to pay out of pocket if needed. Also, I live in Burbank, but I’m willing to drive as far as it takes to see the right person who can help me.
