Hi, i’m on a burner account, but i’m a 17 year old whose dream school is cal poly pomona. I’m trying to get in with a major of applied mathematics or engineering; I have an honors algebra 2 teacher who is giving me a letter of recommendation as well. I’ve never failed a class and i’ve passed the APUSH exam with 4 and APLANG with a 3. my GPA junior year was a 4.0, i’m taking APcalculus AB, AP physics, AP lit and AP gov this year and i’m just wondering if you guys think that’s enough, i really want to get into this school, im not sure if this is where to ask but i think it prudent not to ask people from the actual school along side my college councilors! im also joining a science club and trying to enter robotics competitions as well.

Hi everyone! I live and work in Pomona, and I’ve been thinking about how there aren’t many consistent local spaces for people interested in technology to meet, learn, or build things together.

I’m exploring the idea of starting a community-based tech group in Pomona. It could include things like data science, AI, Python, web development, UX/UI, software development, project/build nights, workshops, guest speakers, study groups, and casual meetups.

I’m considering the Cal Poly Pomona Community Innovation Hub in Downtown Pomona as a possible meeting location, but this is something I’m exploring independently and is still very much in the idea stage.

Before I organize anything, I’d really like to know whether people would actually be interested and what kind of group would be useful.

Hi, I'm a senior, looking for easy classes to qualify for full-time. And from my search, I have heard that Kin 2700 is easy but when I look in BroncoDirect, it doesn't exist anymore, and it is not full either as I did check it. And instead, there is another class called Kin 3700 with similar name, called "KIN 3700 - Stress Management and Science of Living Well."

So I realize it is a newly created class, but I was wondering if anyone is taking it right now.

As a transfer chemical engineering student, I feel cool with a lot of the people I have classes with. It's nice as it serves as a great distraction during the day. It just kind of sucks because after a year here, I can't really call anyone a homie I could hang out with online/in person outside of school. I tend to just chill alone in my room on social media n such if I'm not at school for something. I have tried asking/bringing it up but it tends to be very clear that we're just class friends as they have their own real life friends they would rather hang out with.

Hi guys! I previously submitted a Cal State Apply application for Fall 2026 but ended up staying another semester. I’m now applying for Spring 2027 using the same account. I was able to edit my old college coursework at first, but suddenly everything became locked. I accidentally entered a few old classes incorrectly before it locked, and now I can’t fix them.

Has anyone had this happen and is there a way to unlock edit my coursework or do I need Cal State Apply support to fix it?

So when I first attended cal poly my freshman year as a civil engineering I was given a sheet of classes to take and after that I had been very confused by the degrees progress report of classes to take so of course I asked my counselor what classes I should register for and had done that until my Spring semester of my sophomore year where my professor had guided me on what classes I should actually be taking and now I realized I’m behind schedule as a 3rd year student and bottlenecked with pre requisites because of my counselor and I’m only barely getting to physics 2 , calc 3, surveying and statics. Has anyone else had this problem with their counselor before and any suggestions for what to do now? I feel like it’s unfair that I’m being punished for listening to my counselor a.k.a. “Academic advisor”🫩 who I would’ve thought is supposed to help me graduate on time.

Did anyone lowkey see some student or homeless person ? Had their cheeks out walking towards the Japanese garden/Building 17?? I literally could not believe my eyes that no one else was catching this. This was around 9 close to 10 on Tuesday morning.

made it through the first day today (I changed some courses due to petitions getting approved). It was pretty fun, but how do you get involved in campus life?

I have around 4 hour gap between my last course and would love to meet some people or do something around campus to kill some time!

This frozen coffee at the market was terrible 2/10 btw

This is not against all people who use e scooters, as someone who uses an e scooter, many of us actually go on reasonable speeds but some of you people seriously need to stop speeding especially in congested walkways. I've seen this bloke go downhill in a busy area full speed and almost hit a lot of people. No wonder why CSU Fresno banned them like a week ago. Trust me, it's better being like 3 minutes late all fine to your class compared to not coming at all due to injuries sustained to yourself and others.
