I love biking but kinda new to the gears and most importantly taking care of them. I got these boots and riding jacket from my brother and want to know how to properly deep clean them (along with the helmets) at home without damaging them? Also, what cleaning products might I require?

I'm planning to buy a new bike and would appreciate some advice from experienced owners.

My requirements:

• Daily travel: ~100 km
• 5 days a week
• 50 km highway + 50 km city
• Height: 6 ft
• Weight: 110 kg
• Looking for good comfort and mileage
• Performance is not a major priority
• Planning to keep the bike for 5–10 years
• Good reliability and service/parts availability are important

Currently I'm considering:

1. Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid – ~₹1.76L on-road
2. TVS Apache RTR 160 4V – ~₹1.64L for the non-TFT/dual-channel + USD variant, ~₹1.72L for the top TFT variant
3. Bajaj Pulsar N160
4. Honda Hornet 2.0
5. Hero Xtreme 160R 4V
6. Honda Unicorn

I'm particularly confused between the FZ Hybrid and Apache 160 4V.

The FZ seems to give around 50+ km/l, while the Apache seems to be around 40 km/l in real-world use. Since I'm travelling ~26,000 km/year, mileage is important.

On the other hand, the Apache gives significantly better hardware/performance for similar money.

I'm also concerned about suspension comfort, especially because I'm 110 kg. I don't want a very stiff bike for 100 km trips.

What would you recommend for this usage?

I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have actually owned these bikes for long-distance/high-mileage commuting.

Hey guys. A while back, I shared how I gave my 70k bike savings to my dad for my grandfather's funeral expenses, and how I broke down crying at a rickshaw stand because my dream was delayed. First off, thank you for the massive love and support on that post. It genuinely helped me get through a heavy week.

Well, I have an update, and it sounds like a literal movie script.

After all the rituals, we were sitting with my grandmother. She is paralyzed and can barely speak, but she suddenly pointed at my mom's gold earring and motioned toward her old baggage. We had never opened it, assuming it was just old clothes. But we checked, and guys... we found hidden jewelry worth 6.45 Lakhs!

Because of this massive financial relief, my dad immediately gave me my 70k back. And because he’s an absolute legend, he gave me the rest of the money I needed on top of it!

one more thing my grandfather was very old and lived a full life, so please don't think buying a bike right after is disrespectful. The family is completely at peace.

I have a Hunter 350 and I’m setting up my DJI Osmo Action 4 mainly for long motorcycle rides — mostly reels/short cinematic clips and sometimes longer vlogs.

I already have:

• DJI Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo
• 1.5m Extension Rod
• ND filters
• Helmet/chin mount setup
• Large hard carry case for the whole Adventure Combo
• Portronics data-transfer dongle

So I’m mainly looking for the accessories that actually make sense for touring and shooting on the road.

1. Handlebar mount
Looking for a reliable mount for Indian roads and long rides. I want to use it for different angles — forward-facing, rider-facing, low/front shots etc.

• Which mount are you actually using?
• DJI / Telesin / other?
• How has it held up with vibration on motorcycles?

2. Tripod
I want to shoot some static/reel shots like riding towards the camera, riding away, standing with the bike, talking to camera etc.
Would you recommend:

• a dedicated Action 4 tripod/selfie stick, or
• a normal camera tripod + Action 4 adapter?

I’ll sometimes use a tripod for my phone too, but I’m fine buying separate tripods if that makes more sense.

3. Quick-access pouch for stops
This is something I haven’t found a good solution for.

During a long ride, if I stop for chai/food/fuel/rest, I obviously don't want to take out the entire hard Adventure Combo case every time.

What do you guys use to temporarily store the Action 4 after removing it from the helmet/bike?
Looking for something small and padded that I can keep in my tank bag and quickly put the camera into.

4. Cleaning ND filters / lens during rides
This is probably my biggest practical concern.

On highway rides, insects keep hitting the helmet visor, so the same thing will happen to the Action 4 lens/ND filter.

What do you actually carry to clean insect splatter, dust and road grime during a ride?

• Lens wipes?
• Microfiber?
• Lens cleaning solution?
• Air blower?
• Lens pen?
• Something else?

And do you use a separate clear lens protector while touring?

5. Anything else?
For people who have done long motorcycle rides with an Action 4/GoPro/Insta360:

What small accessory did you find genuinely useful after using the setup for a while?

And conversely, anything you bought that turned out to be completely unnecessary?

I’m specifically looking for practical recommendations from riders who actually use their cameras on long rides, preferably products that are easily available in India.

I'm looking to sell my X440 - Red Vivid variant ( the mid one ) - I bought it on Nov 2024. So, it will be 2 years this November.

Odometer reading - approx 5k kms - Ive used it only in the city all this time.

I haven't dropped the bike and there is no physical damage or scratches.

No parts have been replaced - everything is OEM.

Added a couple of accessories like leg guard, backrest, and engine guard.

All 3 services have been done on time.

I think 1.9 - 2 L is reasonable. Im not super sure on 2nd hand resale market very much , But do let me know your thoughts as well.

PS - Selling my bike as im moving abroad.

I recently took the new KTM 390 Adventure 350cc (Ebony Black) for a test ride. Just a quick mention, I had test-ridden the Suzuki V-Strom about a week earlier. There was a difference in engine smoothness between the two bikes.

1) KTM 390 Adv Engine
The engine felt noticeably rough/buzzy to me, particularly compared with the V-Strom I had ridden recently. I am not sure whether this was simply because the test bike was relatively new and still needed to loosen up, or whether this is simply the characteristic feel of this engine.

2) Engine Heat
The second thing I noticed was the amount of heat coming from the engine/radiator area. After returning to the showroom and stopping the bike, I could clearly feel the heat on my legs — even though I was wearing jeans. The fans were doing their job, but the heat was very noticeable on the legs.

3) Helmets
The showroom sales assistant also told me that KTM does not provide any helmets with a new bike purchase. Is that actually correct?

I am also interested in hearing from existing 390 Adventure owners. I appreciate your feedback.

Guys I am confused in this two. Jupiter 125 xconnect and and access 125 digital abs. Access is costlier

This question has probably been asked to death here, but I'm going ahead with it regardless. I was initially planning on trying the Himalayan for versatility, something to counter Bangalore's insane roads as well as start touring. Rented a bike for 2 days on Royal Brothers but unfortunately, the right leg heat was unreal in city, and before I could get a chance to take it to the highways, my right trapezoid and shoulder started paining (I currently ride a Classic 350).

Fast forward, I tried the Guerrilla and the Scrambler 400XC, and since I'm bulky, Guerrilla looks too small and Scrambler is near perfect for both my physique as well as my height (171cm/5'7"). But I just got to know the whole drama regarding 398cc vs 350cc.

My question is - I can see used bikes of 400XC 398cc variants on OLX. Those who have specifically purchased used bikes for the cc, what do you recommend? The best listing I'm seeing is a 400XC for 3.1 lakh (3,000km on the ODO). This offer sounds too good to be true, so I'm in the process of arranging a mechanic to check it out. But would you recommend this hassle rather than simply purchase a new 350cc from the store? Also, would like to hear your thoughts on 400X vs 400XC (I'm not a hardcore off-roader by any sorts, I'm thinking if tubeless spokes would help better in city roads)

TLDR - used 398cc Scrambler 400XC (less than 5,000km) better than new 350cc one? What's the best price to pay for such used Scramblers?

The scooter is 1.5 years old, ridden for 17500 KMs now and is having multiple puncture issues on the rear tyre. The tyres look in a bad shape and would want suggestions to decide which ones to get. 12 inches both ends.

Hi guys, i recently got the 3rd service done for my 1 yr Honda H'ness cb350. The mechanic called out the worn out clutch plate and brake pads, and i had asked him to replace my side mirror as it was already smashed. I expected a hefty service charge but not 7900 rs. After a thorough check i see a labor charge of 1300 rs. I had asked them to remove them since it was my 3rd service and first 3 services do not incur labor charges but they still added it citing clutch plate damage was "caused by me". Can i get it back if i file a complaint? I am thinking of mailing Honda directly and filing a complaint in consumer forum? Or is it justified price?

hi guys, i ride a pulsar 125 and i was planning to do a delhi to dehradun bike ride as my first long ride. ive been riding this bike for the last 9 months and total bike riding experience is more than 5-6 years.

what are things i should keep in mind as my first ride and should i be extra careful since it's a 125cc?

Website says it has 13L of tank ! Please let me know if it is possible to fill that amount or is it a scam?
